She has issues, oh well.
If I recall correctly, her own children (except Eli) have some pretty interesting things to say about Annie.
She gets the main thing wrong...again. Urban was cleared of covering up DV. And done so by an independent investigative committee lead by a female who happens to be the best in the business at that work.
That she’s piling on someone who showed her and her son a lot of support speaks to her character.
You win with people.

IIRC Eli has turned into a pretty insufferable headcase since he's been in the NFL as well. I hate to see that happen to any player let alone a former Buckeye but I do recall Urban straight up saying last year when Apple had basically hit rock bottom with his own teammates calling him a cancer that he wanted to reach out to Eli and help him (this was during the football season mind you when Urban is at his busiest). That's the kind of coach Urban REALLY is, the kind who cares about his players even after they've moved on. Annie Apple would do well to remember that.
Probably bent out of shape because Meyer and the Buckeyes would not give her money under the table and she regrets not pushing her son to sign with an SEC team.

I heard these are good at taking out Wolverines.

Carter's ill-fated mission to rescue the Iran hostages. What was slightly amusing they never deployed to carriers, etc. (too big), but got a (12) hr notice on a Saturday to deploy to who knows where and poof were gone ie a ghost town on the other side of our hangar bay. Found out later they deployed to Bahrain. Long story short, everything that could go wrong with that mission did ~ Murphy's Law. Again, I digress.
And Goldwater-Nichols solved all of those problems.
You mean the same woman who cheated on her husband and ostracized her family for her wallet? THAT Annie??? Hahahaha. She’s a siily little ol lady!
+1. Not to mention that probably contributed to Eli's mental problems that clearly affected him on the field last year. Losing his dad was a huge blow to him.
Emotions are raw right not, and this entire situation has yet to even settle out yet. We know about Urban’s future, we know McMurphy was just trying to find a job. Everything else? I’m not sure we know much of anything, to a definitive end. Courtney had issues, Zach had issues, the Smith/Carano extended family had family issues. We don’t really know to what extent board members and Drake agreed or disagreed on level of guilt and suitable punish, ent, only that there was a sense of urgency to gain alignment by the end of the day Wednesday.
i understand the frustration, but Annie gets some latitude, IMO. I’ll let it stand, and see where it goes from here.
Meyer and Smith went to bat for her and the families of all CFP players to get monetary help to go to the games. It was the right thing to do. This is their thanks.
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
Didn't Meyer go to bat for her son when a couple Giants were singling him out as a bad team mate? If so, holy shit. What gratitude. And completely wrong on Meyer.
Its bad enough we have to deal with scum media...don't need ignorant OSU people buying into the lies.
Thank you Urban Meyer and Gene Smith
He was literally the only one trying to help him.
While Smith & Meyer voiced their support, the FPAOS Board members met with Luck and did a lot of the leg work.
Oh and by the way, that stipend money is taxable and is not equal for everyone considering there are families in different and higher tax brackets.
She has shown in the past that she really REALLY likes attention.
I read that and I think she’s cozying up to the national media to keep herself relevant...like the original purveyor of this content.
She could have gone either way. She could have supported or criticized Urban. Or even better, kept her mouth and opinion to herself. Either way, she looks like an idiot.
What to say. Man I’m not even sure anymore. Everyone has rushed to judgement, but we are supposedly all blind sheep supporting Urban. Though I usually support Brenda Tracey and her mission, she is a bit out of pocket on this; two things stick out:
1. Where, again, is the media outcry for Tom Herman, ir is there none since 7-5?
2. Amazing how she turned on Urban when he was literally the only person trying to help out Eli last season.
I knew what Annie was all about long ago. (It's Annie.)
Maybe she added a blog follower with this.

Does she sign Urban's checks? Nope! So let's just move on and focus on the 2018 season.
Well, Columbus wasn't looking for America, my man, but that turned out to be pretty okay for everyone.
I really hope she read the report for herself. Doesn't sound like it.
If that’s her take, I hope she didn’t read it. But I hope she does eventually

I really cannot believe how the single entity- Ohio State football, has seemingly exploded into 1,000 rotted pieces getting devoured by vulteted in the late summer of 2018.
I'm done. I'm out. I've had enough negative. I'm ready for The Buckeye football team to play, next weekend. I'm done with the soap opera stuff.

What's an Annie Apple?
Apparently the poisonous kind.

"To The House"
did the Giants try to banish her from being near the franchise soon after Eli was drafted? From what I believe I read, it seems like she has been a grade-A psycho since Eli was signed by the G-men. Her words mean little.
Looks like someone just got disinvited from the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer...
As others have said, this woman is, and has ALWAYS BEEN about herself and nothing but herself. The revelations that came out about her and Eli in the New York press last year are all the proof you need of that. This is just another stunt to get people to look at Annie Apple, nothing more. To call her an attention whore would be an insult to whores.
Maybe this is the reason Eli acts childish at times. 1 year to remove his black stripe and recent NFL locker room cancer. Just talent but with the wrong attitude
I can’t really blame Eli if that is what he had to put up with all of his life. That said, he’d be best-advised to cut the cord (I know that’s not easy) and be his own man going forward.
I had to put up with a mom like this too. I grew up and I don't have to any more.
If you keep feeding the trolls they will keep coming out. Stop feeding the trolls and they will starve.
Most people on her in the past seemed to enjoy here. I knew she was an egomaniac from day 1 and whenever she was mentioned and I was critical of her, boy did I get downvoted.
Same. Any critical review of The Annie Show was cause for death by downvote here once. The woman always seemed like a psycho to me.
I appreciate her opinion. Go Bucks! Beat Oregon State!
2x account suspension survivor
I, however, don't appreciate her opinion.
Go Bucks! Beat Oregon State!
And on fourth and one... would you believe?
But why though? I don't get when people say things like they appreciate people's opinion when the opinion is clearly wrong haha.
Her opinion is no more right or wrong than mine, and she actually personally knows Coach Meyer. Either way, that's her opinion, Go Bucks! Good luck this year Eli!
That's not true. Not even a little.
Did Urban cover up allegations of domestic abuse or did he report it? Don't fall in the same trap as the mouth breathers. He reported it.
It's not a matter of opinion so don't pretend it is.
Now whether or not Zach was abusing her is, for us, a matter of opinion because we don't know. But to have the 'opinion' that Urban covered up spousal abuse is false and wrong.
A huge distinction that you need to get your head right about. The problem is far too many people are substituting a false opinion in place of confirmed reality and wrongly processing/understanding why Urban is suspended. Annie is one of those..and to defend her opinion as credible or right/wrong as yours is bullshit.
When you have facts there is no room for opinion. Urban did not cover up abuse. Seriously...get it right as to speak otherwise just furthers the nonsensical agenda driven garbage.
Should he have fired Zach? Certainly seems so..but did he cover up abuse. Absolutely not...and the world is not flat even if Annie wants to have the 'opinion' that it is.
HIN - We don't have all of the facts because Urban Meyer has had "memory issues", and deleted his text messages. Also, I believe it was reported to Urban Meyer, not the other way around. Like I said, she's entitled to her opinions, and she actually knows Coach Meyer personally. Go Bucks! Beat Oregon State!
BS...open your eyes.
Urban did not fail to report allegations of domestic abuse no matter what he did or didn't text or what he did or didn't delete.
You are making the exact same mistake Annie is making.
Please give me your opinionated version of how Urban protected/enabled a domestic abuser. I'll wait. Meanwhile, there is no room for opinions when the facts are present. And the fact is: he reported it.
Annie has a right to an opinion, but not to substitute it for facts.
The fact is Urban reported it. The fact is the world is not flat even if some idiots want to run about with 'the opinion' that it is.
We can have an opinion as to whether or not Z abused C as we don't have the facts yet. But we already know Urban didn't hide/bury/protect Z for abusing C. In fact, we don't even know if Z did abuse C, but we do know Urban properly pursued the allegations rather than hiding then.
You are as bad as the misdirected media for even entertaining the thought that Urban was ignoring known domestic abuse. Annie is wrong..and it is not OK nor is she 'entitled to an opinion' that is libel and slander ridden.
Like I said: we are entitled to opinions when the facts are not available. We know Urban reported it..so Annie is not entitled to ignore that and pretend Urban enabled domestic abuse.
Seriously.... you need to stop protecting the notion that people can make up news in leiu of facts. Zach was NOT arrested in 2015 even though asshat ran with that headline. Had McMurphy's initial report matched his current version: none of this is happening. He made it up..stirred the pot and then nobody reset when he walked back on it. Now you are defending Annie's entitlement to do the same?
No thank you. I'll stay with the facts and not defend Annie's right to be ignorant of the truth and think she gets to spew nonsense where there is no room for opinion because the facts are present. Urban didn't cover it up. Annie is wrong, and you are for defending her right to continue to spew fabricated, ignorant falsehoods.
Neither of us know the full truth. Go Bucks! Beat Oregon State!
We do know Urban reported it.
Annie is pretending he covered it up.
We don''t know the truth about Courtney and Zach's relationship, but we know Urban didn't hide any allegations of abuse.
I am amazed you can't understand this.
We know the truth wrt to Urban. As to whether Zach was abusing Courtney doesn't actually matter because Urban reported what he was told. If the truth is he was abusing her..then Zach and the police have some tough questions to answer.
When Annie says Urban was enabling spousal abuse...please tell me what he did that enabled Zach to hit Courtney or stop defending her 'right' to not recognize that Urban did report it before spewing nonsense.
What truth don't we have that indicates Annie's opinion is possibly valid? We know it was reported. Hard stop. So saying Urban buried it and enabled it is a flawed premise from go.
Get it yet? Because I really don't think it could be more obvious her 'opinion' is as valid as the earth is flat and vaccinations are more harm than good.
Neither you or I know what he knew or didn’t. Also, I still am unaware that Urban reported it to anyone. I’m aware it was reported to Urban by Gene Smith. I’m also aware Urban never reported 2009
You can't be this dense.
He reported it in 2015. We know this.
Annie says he hid it and enabled it.
And you are wrong for defending her ignorance by pretending it as a reasonable opinion. If she wants to say Urban should have fired him for the affair, the drinking...that is an opinion she is entitled to. But when she says Urban buried it and enabled spouse abuse she is wrong. I'll ask you again:
What is the reasonable sequence of actions by Urban that indicates he enabled abuse?
Did abuse even occur?
Urban didn't cover up or enable abuse. You are being purposefully obtuse or choosing to ignore the reality that Urban reported the allegations to OSU in 2015. How did Urban enable abuse? If Urban had fired him would that have fixed their marriage and stopped the abuse? Of course not. It's not on Urban..if he was beating her its on Zach and the police for not charging him. Urban is in no shape or form the arbiter of Zach's behavior toward Zach's wife.
"Year for what?"
Someone please ask her how he enabled an abuser
Yeah, ask her this right after asking how her other kids (that don't making millions of dollars) are doing.
I've never understood how people say Urban enabled Zach as an abuser. How? By employing him? So firing Zach in 2009 at Florida would have made Zach a model husband? How would firing Zach stop his alleged DV? The media never asks that.
Those people feel the police department was in tOSU's back pocket and not doing anything about the alleged DV, therefore, making Urban the enabler by allowing him to continue with alleged DV with no consequences.
Enable: give (someone or something) the authority or means to do something; to make possible, practical, or easy
Yeah, still not seeing it. Whether Meyer employed him or not, if ZS was a wife beater, his employment status wouldn’t change that. Instead, just say that Meyer is guilty by association.
I won’t completely judge Meyer until I know the reason why ZS was never prosecuted for DV (prosecutors don’t always need a cooperative witness) and whether this (these) reason(s) impacted Meyer’s decision to retain ZS.
The fact that her username is @SurvivinAmerica tells me all I need to know about her. Woe is me, look at me, blah blah blah. Go away.
How rude. I will not be inviting her to my pancake social
Speaking of which, I haven't seen my invitation either...
She is a loser.
What is the saying about those that live in glass houses? LOL... http://www.tmz.com/person/annie-apple/
The comment about her blocking anyone who disagrees with her tells me that she doesn't have enough emotional intellegence to waste breath on
Her take on just about everything is low common denominator dumb. Frankly, she's a twit.
Apologies to twits ...
And to think, there are people in our fan base who thought it was cool that she basically followed her adult son to his first real job interview. She and Mr. Elliot always seemed a little to hovering for my liking. Our son is in college, and I don't want to be anywhere near where he is. He needs time and space to grow up.
We'll and to be honest the the only knock on Zekes game isn't what goes on between the sidelines
Have you ever seen a fierce animal who you were sure wouldn't bite? Because I haven't.
I thought once Zeke left, a new parent should’ve become the Ambassador. Probably not a popular opinion, but at some point, it helps to have a new face.
I found it cringeworthy for Elliott to attend that rally and then to speak as he did.
Hey Annie, never look at gift horse in the mouth. As for your dig at Buckeye Nation:
"You're the patron saint of the totally effed" - Hot Tub Time Machine
To be honest, she ought to thank Ohio State and all of the coaches that developed her son into the player he was when he left. I don’t know her, but she seems to be an egotistical person that is crying for attention. I also believe she didn’t do anything to help her son when he fell off the derp end recently.
What a nut job. I remember I used to like her, but wow...
The problem is the media outlets have controlled the narrative of this story. No one has challenged, and very few are reporting this story honestly. So Annie is probably believing what she's seeing on ESPN and all the other outlets reporting this story. You'd have to come to Ohio State sites to really know the truth, and she probably doesn't do that.
I live in San Diego CA. Most of my friends and colleagues that follow CFB believe what's reported in the news. It's all they know, they aren't getting the other side.
Most of what you see in the media isn’t reporting. It’s commentator’s giving their opinions or an opinion directed down to them on a report.
“Megadeth >>> Metallica” - Alum 2019. I couldn’t agree more.
I can’t believe that I never saw this before now: Annie Apple is a female LaVar Ball. It’s all there- the insane micromanagement of their sons’ careers, the horrific advice to said children, the inane, attention-craving interviews and social media posts. They’re the same person.
Nailed it. Wouldn't those two make an interesting couple? That has reality TV show written all over it. Move over Kardashians.
Whoa, according to this link: http://www.tmz.com/2017/12/27/eli-apple-cancer-annie-dane-blackson/ Annie has worked for ESPN.
Maybe she'll be up for a promotion now; or maybe her latest twitter action was was part of a proposal from ESPN? Oh wait, I'm sure ESPN would never do that...what was I thinking.
Annie Apple is an idiot, and has always craved attention anywhere she can get it. Not surprising to see Eli has struggled with her.
Our objective is simple: to make the state of Ohio proud.
She cray cray. Just shows you how knee jerk some morons on here were a few years ago when they were like "Oh, she needs a job w/ tOSU!!! She's so awesome!!!"
Perhaps Urban didn't give her one and she's bitter?
What in the hell was she talking about? Pretty sure Urban and Shelley were not allowed to comment on anything regarding this while the investigation was taking place. So her comment about them sitting back while people ripped Courtney for weeks was ridiculous.

Annie Apple? Name sounds like a cartoon character.
Well now I have another reason to not like Jay Bilas.
AKA the Horseshoe, the Shoe, and the House That Harley Built
Mr. Smug. Jay Smug.
Bilas is that guy who always thinks he’s “the smartest guy in the room”...when, in actuality, he’s just an arrogant blowhard.
Agree, I don't care for Bilas's TV presence. Just another reason to not watch that network's opinion shows, and a reason I no longer watch ESPN's NCAA men's basketball tourney selection coversge
Even when I agree with him he still comes across as a condescending arrogant blowhard.
I've seriously never heard of the guy.
She is disgusting.
Proud to be part of Buckeye Nation. All the uninformed people need to inform themselves with the whole story, as it should be a persons responsibility to do so. Goooo Bucks!!!
I have this image of all of these dipshits hanging out under an overpass somewhere, coming out one by one to deliver their unsolicited opinions.
Annie Apple has become prosecutor, judge and jury. It is obvious that she has done this on the biased media agenda driven tripe.
Did Ms Apple consider the following when she wrote her twitter piece?
Courtney Smith was not backed up by:
1. Any Powell policeman;
2. The Chief of Police;
3. Any Court of law;
4. Zach's Mother;
5. No neighbors known to come forward;
6. No known friends came forward;
7. Her own father was ignorant of any abuse;
8. Her OWN MOTHER supported Zach's statement for crying out loud.
9. Documented liar over large span of time;
10. Known to have stated that she was out to get Zach and Urban.
If Ms. Apple has other evidence for her opinion I have no problem with her sharing it. The totality of the evidence suggests she is way out of line.
And btw this is not 'bashing her' this is revealing her.
----in the immortal words of Joe Friday---Just the facts mam Just the facts.
Not going to click, over this.
I’ve met her personally and she’s a nice lady.
She’s quite the yapper with her opinions.
Ironically one of her more louder opinions is the stance that nothing will change for the players getting paid, until they sit out..
Found it selfish and disingenuous considering she didn’t publicly make those declarations until her OWN son had left school and been drafted!
She sure seems to need attention and I'm not sure how good that is for Eli's career. Shades of Miko Grimes.
I didn't click on the link, why bother reading a trash article. The comments here are more fun to read.
I'm sure Eli Apple appreciates his own mother potentially burning his OSU bridges, and also appreciates having a huge distraction placed on him heading into the season. I feel sorry for the guy.
It would be great to see what Eli has to say about this.
All he need do is go to the next room in the Condo they share.
Wow...I wonder if his mom took his electronics away.
Before or after she LITERALLY took Birthday cupcakes to Giants’ camp.
How do I know, because she recorded it and put that on Twitter. Lol!
Never throw stones at glass houses because her son could be next...

She’s dancing to Public Enemy’s “Fight The Power”. Lol!!!
Rosie Perez did it better.
What is this lady 7 years old? What an ignorant human being. What a fake woman.
She totally seems like a sane, level headed, emotionally stable person.
Fight the Power? Both she and her son have more power and money than most Americans could ever hope to have.
I'd say "fighting the power" in this case is more about fighting against a lying, sensationalizing media than anything else.
Well...in this case she means the mob. Sure, the national media may have fanned the flames of mob mentality, but I think we can at least sympathize with anti-mob vibes at this point in time.
The fact that she thinks that (badly) re-enacting a 29-year-old dance routine is some kind of revolutionary act is just sad.
Was never a fan of her. She really seemed to like the attention and leveraged her son's career and popularity to get in the spotlight.
Way to throw a coach under the bus who helped her son become a first round pick and multi-millionaire.
That is all.
Seems like a lot of people are coming out to take shots at Annie. I took them at her when she was in front of the camera making her son's day about her and man was she applauded for being such a fierce OSU, Eli, and Urban Supporter. I and a few other folks here took a heavy dose of downvotes for calling her out on the rug for the nonsense she was pulling. "But she is such a great ambassador". It was bullshit then and it's bullshit now.
But NOW OSU fans have a problem with her. If guess it's better late than never.
Proudly dispensing unbridled arrogance since 1983.
This quote gave me a laugh:
"I’ve had to block more than 500 vile Urban Meyer worshippers."
She blocked me on Twitter simply because I quoted her tweet and said I hope the lesson with this whole thing is to not jump to conclusions before we have all the information. If that's vile, then she needs to stay off Twitter and go back to brainwashing Eli.

If you need a refresher, here is the report from NJ.com about how she is derailing Eli's career.
"Great moments are born from great opportunities." - Herb Brooks
But Jemele Hill tweets at her! She's twitter famous!
Famous folks also tweet @ Jemele, so there’s that!
Sounds like Jemele is going to have a lot of free time soon.
As the youngins say, seems she secured her bag too.
Believe the payout was $6M. So while she may be gone and have plenty of available time, she’ll also have plenty of time to counter her money! Lol!
That contract is a great example of why ESPN is in the position it is. A $6M buyout for someone like Hill should never happen in a competently run business.
This is a great point.
But PRIOR to Jemele’s contract buyout, there’s been recent others from non ESPN outlets, for considerably more and for actual documented offenses, more aggregious than stating unpopular opinions.
Oh well, as the youngins also say, you can’t count somebody else’s money!
She got a $6M buyout? Apparently I'm in the wrong profession.
I am proud to say I have been blocked by Annie on all social media platforms... Honestly one of my greatest accomplishments.
