No doubt an amazing athlete but if you watch this catch in slow mo, i believe you can clearly see the ball bounces between his legs and takes a perfect rebound up into his left hand. still cool nonetheless. go bucks!
rule #76. no excuses, play like a champion.
You clearly see that? Huh...
Clearly?? Not so much.
Nice catching up on Jake Moretti, tough row he had to hoe but sounds like things are working out for him in Boulder.
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
Your positivity (always) is refreshing :)
"Man I wish everyone stop saying I beat a kid in the hospital 91-35.... It was 98-35, had 91 with 1:26 left in the 4th"
- Cardale Jones
Glad Moretti is getting healthy. Wish him well.. Can't fault a player who wants to play closer to home.
Cant wait to see those catches for the Bucks!! Best of luck to Moretti at Colorado...I really hate injuries to these young men...
Sick catch! I think, I will say the call stands not enough evidence to clearly overturn LOL!
Nice to hear Moretti is back at it and recovering from that injury.
Can't wait till Meyer is reinstated and we move on from this and start winning football games and the BOOMS come full force again from the recruits who've been waiting!
Wilson and Lake Travis, meanwhile, open their season on Aug. 31 against Arlington Martin.
Is Strother Martin on Lake Travis's schedule?

" It's real good whatcha done Anthony, real good ! "
This while investigating should be winding down here soon..time to march on, snatch up a few more highly ranked recruits, and then kick some ass in a few short weeks!
Are you fucking kidding me?! We all know Urban isn't allowed to be doing anything job related right now, and 11W goes ahead and writes a story quoting a HS coach who says he's talking to kids on the sly. Do we not have enough media calling for him to be fired, so you guys are trying a different angle?
Settle down Eze. This incriminates no one. He said his message was being communicated. All that means is the assistants are doing exactly what they've always done. Nothing to see here.
"We gotta go win this next game and make the State of Ohio proud!"-UFM
Thanks for clarifying. I read that SI article earlier in the day and wondered how he was getting his message across to recruits when he's not allowed to talk with assistants. This makes sense.
"That means all of his communication with commits and other recruits are being relayed through intermediaries... 'His messages are getting to the kids...'"
That's what it says. And that reads as there's an active chain working right now. If Drake and the BOD caught wind that UFM was defying the terms of his leave, it would be the first thing he's done that they could actually fire him for. And he WOULD be gone. And it would be brought to light by a fansite trying to gain clicks from hardcore recruitnuts.
I've done this job for a different school, and these guys know tons more that they're not allowed to say because it would hurt the program, and then they wouldn't be getting the inside stuff anymore. You have to be smart enough to not say shit like that. There's been times on here where what was written would have caught the eye if the NCAA. To do something like this now is stupid and reckless. DV away.
Well fuck just talked to Michael Drake, you were right We're screwed!
Your anger is misplaced, by the way. "One unnamed high school coach of a 2019 commit told *Sports Illustrated*."
OK, fair enough, the original quote came from SI. But how'd it end up here? Do you know this to be true? If you do, then you're saying UFM is violating his leave. If you don't, then you are perpetuating a narrative from the national media. Andrew, I like you a lot and think you do a fantastic fucking job, and your insight is one of the main reasons I come to this board. The point I am trying to make, however, is that you could have found a much better, safer way of saying "OSU has great assistants, and they are ensuring the messages previously preached by the head guy are still being heard, and they are keeping the Buckeyes top of mind until he he's back where he belongs." If everything is everything, this is a useless, moot point. But given UFM and the program is under the microscope and being attacked from all sides... well, you read what I wrote above.
I appreciate that, EZE, and I completely understand your point of view and the potential consequences of what I write. However, I think you, your fellow readers, the university, and local and national media would be naïve to think Urban hasn't been able to relay messages to his team, commits or prospects despite the investigation. If we're being entirely honest, it shouldn't need to be said to know or realize that every coach in the country skirts the line of what is allowed and what isn't. For example, any coach in his position could tell a friend something that is then relayed to the staff, players or commits — thus following the contact rules. I do appreciate your thoughts on it, though!
I'm with ya, Andrew. We all pop a couple of grapes in the mouth while we're walking around the market. It's another thing to do it while the cashier is putting them on the scale, though. Do we all assume Urban's wants are being made reality despite his location? Of course. Is it great when a local media group dedicated to covering the program talks about it openly? We all know that when a recruiting guru says "source close to the program," he's talking about a coach, who is thus committing an NCAA violation because he's talking about a recruit by name. Every program does it, so everyone looks the other way. But when the NCAA is in the house investigating recruiting violations, the guru probably isn't getting too many scoops that week. Like every other Buckeye fan, I am exhausted and flabbergasted and ready for this shit to be over. Bro hug.
You are trying too hard.
If/when Meyer is reinstated, I can see a 20-25 star day. We're gonna need a few more 12th Warriors for some new servers.
Wilson will be a top 5 pick in 3-4 years.
