Gholsten - prolly one of my favorites coming out of the Detroit area. Another Cass Tech product.
Halfway home till kickoff.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Doug Datish... I fondly remember him in the Fiesta Bowl win over ND him down field blocking on a TGII end around and running like he stole something and teddy passed him like he was standing still. Love the effort but one of the funniest things I've seen.
Buckeye til I die
Gholston had a solid career but only broke out his last season in Columbus? Not complaining - he destroyed Chad Henne in that '07 game.
Too bad he didn't do squat in the NFL.
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
Gholston is the all-time Ohio State leader in sacks (14.0) and sack yards (111) for a single season. He racked-up a Buckeye record four sacks in a single game against Wisconsin and his teams went 4-0 against a certain team to the north.
He might have only had one stellar season, but it was a record breaking season. I put the Buckeye football playing careers of the four guys listed above over any other Ohio State player to wear No. 50.
He had a banger of a season. Wish he would've stayed for his senior year but understand he had to cash in.
Copy on prioritizing career over single season, makes sense.
"Chad Henne is a joke ...
50 days! Here's to the next 50 going by as quickly as the last 50.
Beat everyone, in every sport, all the time!!!
No Jacoby Boren? I am sadness.
Jacoby was underrated
Jacoby was good. I grew up on the far east side of Columbus and have an affinity for the Pickerington area. With that said, I have to draw the line somewhere as to who gets a little more recognition and Jacoby just missed the cut.
Below is my rubric:
Full disclosure, Gordon Appleby received my vote for the player to represent No. 50.
Man, do it next year, please. It's such a beautiful story. :)
Mike Brewster was not only was a hell of a football player but he changed the game from a social media recruiting front. He was the first in my memory actively recruiting for tOSU so openly and publicly. The Brew Crew seemed to start a new age of recruiting.
