Thanks for the info drop about Doug Adams. Pretty cool way for Person to show honor and respect by wearing Adam's number when he played his final game.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
WOW! What a list! But this is a good choice and I'm way to old to have recency bias.
Beat everyone, in every sport, all the time!!!
Kirk Lowdermilk had a solid career in the pros - was the centerpiece of the Vikings OL from the late 80's - early 90's.
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
Yes, I got faked out by this choice--which was a great one regardless. But my choice would've been Kirk. I think Earle called him the toughest player he ever coached. The stuff you can say about Lachey, you can say even more about Lowdermilk--who's also a class guy form what I've read from other posters here on 11w. I believe he went out bc of of a broken leg once and the Buckeye O suffered. I cannot recall how soon he was able to return, but I think it was the reason for Earle giving him that 'toughest' accolade.
Honestly, some of the names for these nos. should be chosen with a dart board.
Yep. KL had a very solid pro career for the Vikes and Colts. Collected an NFL paycheck for quite some time, and was near the top of his craft for quite a bit of that time. I read that his son is currently on the Vikes practice squad.
Nicely done, again
