Happy Friday everyone! Hoping this latest edition of Friday Night Lights has some BOOMS with it this weekend.
On the OSU twitter page also looks like Coach Johnson was with the RB’s which only makes sense as he is the King of the Rushmen.

Keep fighting CalPoppy
Morning SP... battlestations!
The BOOMS will be heard loud and clear. I will be at the keyboard armed and ready.
I've got stuff to do tonight, so I'll just put this here and y'all can apply it when its appropriate
She is always appropriate.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Not going to be a popular comment but she’s vastly overrated in my eyes.
Here come the downvotes.
Nothing cleanses the soul like a no call pass interference.
There are few things more appropriate at any time than my secret girlfriend. Been awhile since I have seen her appear on these pages, and it is always a good thing to see Anna. Props to MB for the early wake up call of the Kendrick
"They say, "these geeks come a dime a dozen. I'm lookin' for the guy who's supplyin' the dimes." -Classy Freddie Blassie
Anna Kendrick Carnegie Hall, Sept 1998. Anna is on the same stage with Julie Andrews, Bebe Neuwirth, Robert Morse, Liza Minelli, the Rockettes, Elaine Stritch, etc and etc.
"Epic fail" at upstaging young Miss Kendrick by a troupe with 60+ years of Broadway experience (the Kit Kat Girls from "Cabaret").
Guess who steals the show?
Zone6, with rotating WR's, will have 1000+ yards at all 3 WR positions this season
Hopefully he's retained his speed despite injuries, which is something never guaranteed. I'm not sure he has a spot in the NFL without it.
He was certainly exciting in a way we hadn't seen since the days of Terry Glen and Joey Galloway.
Are you forgetting Ted Ginn?
He missed Touchdown Teddy...blew right by him.
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
Maybe he tuned in after the opening kickoff...too soon?
I know not what of you speak.
Any correalation has been erased from my memory.
I am not referring to how fast he is on the football field, although that helps. Devin Smith didn't make drops as common as they should be.
I love it. The heck with term limits, how about sortition!
Now back to Buckeye football.
Ua Mau ke Ea o ka 'Aina I ka Pono. The life of the land is preserved in righteousness. (Hawai'i state motto) Aloha nui kakou.
Please let the rain hold off for tonight!
I'm excited to see what Sexton will bring to the Cavs, although I'm not sure I like that haircut he was sporting lastnight..that side rat tail might have to come off bro..
Im just hoping no one below 8 blows up next year more than sexton does. The report on porters back must have been pretty bad as he was once considered a lottery pick to going undrafted after the 2nd round. Would like to see osman get in the rotation as i think he should have played this year.
Isn't Depps current condition the persona he chose? Personally i don't think the reported $30k a month was just for wine. Sounds better than admitting it was for the drugs.
Go crush the day my fellow Buckeye's. O H.....
MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS
Kinda almost feel for Porter... especially after getting invited to the "green room" for the draft, and not even get drafted through the first 2 rounds..
What Porter are you talking about?
THE PICK IS IN: Michael Porter Jr. will be joining Mile High Basketball! pic.twitter.com/esVT9H3q38

ONE Not Done!
"the report on porters back must have been pretty bad as he was once considered a lottery pick to going undrafted after the 2nd round"
I stopped watching after the Cavs pick at 8... I got my information from a previous post..
Good catch Tmac.
Sorry wezbuck, thats even worse if he blows up. Only 6 picks after the cavs. Oh well Sexton sounds talented as well.
I've always wanted to make it down to FNL. It sounds like a good time and a good chance to get to Old Stoneface without breaking the bank. Maybe next year.
It seems to me that most of Mark Emmerts salary is compensation for keeping his mouth shut about the all the shady shit the NCAA does. Even then, I would do that for a fraction of what they're paying him.
We could split his current salary and share his job if you’re down for it. They get twice the work for the same pay.
If I recall correctly, a group of 5-6 OSU professors offered to do just that when OSU was searching for a new president - I think this was shortly after Gee. Will try to find the article.
"Because I couldn't go for three." - Woody Hayes
I'd be down for that. We'd probably do a better job too.
Almost feels like a game weekend, feeling pretty good about things.
"The truth is families are forged through relationships, which are brought about by spending time with one another. Anything else is propaganda."
Well said! This does not mean it will always be smooth sailing either. But, they always have each other's backs? And in the end, God forbid an outsider attack your family.
Wez, agree on the rain. It would be nice for it to stop mid afternoon and dry off a bit for the weekend visits. We do not want soggy BOOMs!!
On the other hand, any BOOM will be welcome! We need at least a few glorious BOOMs.
Beat everyone, in every sport, all the time!!!
Emmert has lost credibility as NCAA President. The organization is so weakened that the FBI has to do their enforcement.
FNL... one step closer. College Football is just around the corner. Shine bright Old Stoneface.
1. A sortition of 11W readers for Buckeye head coach would definitely result in no empty backfields on fourth down.
2. The weather forecast, unfortunately, does not look promising, especially for the team workout. Thunderstorm probability decreases as the evening progresses. Hoping for the storms to get in and get out early.
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
The Aliens of the Deep wmd is startling. If you want to see some seriously freaky photos of sea creatures, this is the link for you. The barnacles are pretty cool looking however.
Fingers crossed for FNL to stay dry, and that the kids perform at their best.
Emmert is one in a long line of guys at the top of a profession who "earns" an asinine amount of money without doing much of anything to deserve it, but he does even less than most.
105,000+ people don't stuff the Shoe to watch players workout in the summer.
No, but they have in the spring.
"There are 3 things that can happen and 2 of them are bad" - the Curse of Woody Hayes
There are many ways to chose a coach. TTUN has tried them and failed. Their next election will use sortition, as it cannot produce a noticeably worse outcome the before.
Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle and mutilate.
Man, I feel for people with addictions, but enough already about Art Schlichter. Everyone has a story about the guy, and here’s mine (through a former brother-in-law that lived in the same dorm as Art): ex-BIL would play backgammon for money against him, and after Art would win, he would send his goons down to ex-BIL’s room to collect, but when he lost, Art made himself scarce. He’s always been a con man and a thug, and despite everyone’s wanting to protect and/or rehabilitate the image of one of their own (a Buckeye), this guy is unrepentant and will never change. Excise the cancer, once and for all.
The only thing that's new in the world is the history that we have forgotten.
I was at the Lebanon horse track one night with some buddies... there was this homeless looking dude who kept looking over my shoulder trying to read my race program... Finally I just handed it to him and bought another one. my buddy ask me if I knew it was Art .. I didn't… he was almost unrecognizable
Life long fan of... The!
I won Seahawks tickets at a Seattle bar. They were having a trivia contest
The announcer started asking, "Which college quarterback ... gambling ..." Being a Buckeye, I immediately shouted the answer before he could finish the question.
But I agree with WC. Schlichter doesn't deserve any sympathy. He repeatedly swindled and manipulated people until he was stopped. Players make mistakes, but this guy was a serial liar.
"We get paid to score touchdowns, not kick field goals"
-- Urban Meyer
Colin Sexton is the real deal. Great pick by the Cavs.
Keep grinding football Buckeyes. The benefits will be huge.
Great Skully to wrap the work week. Looking forward to a couple more BOOMS very soon.
Emmert’s base salary of $2,078,075 represented a 42% increase over his base salary for 2015, or just over $615,000.
When someone's raise alone after doing a terrible job and bungling punishments at a non-profit is STILL more money than most Americans would make in a decade... I get that a non-profit still needs competitive pay to attract talent, but Mark Emmert is NOT at that level of talent.
that story on Johnny Depp though ....
You don't know what you have until it's gone .... for example, toilet paper.
It has been 2,400 days since Michigan last beat Ohio State in football.
— Tony Gerdeman (@TonyGerdeman) June 22, 2018
Nice round number
Is there a list of Emmert and the NCAAs goals and accomplishments for Emmert to warrant a $2.5M annual salary?
SUMMER SWOLLSTICE. This is the time of year where Buckeye footballers can only produce bad news via injury or DUI arrest. Thankfully, we haven't had to worry about the football team going on a crime spree.
Perish the thought.
Stay chilly, Buckeyes.
I am not very smart, but I recognize that I'm not very smart. --- W.W. Hayes
The trouble with Johnny Depp...
...Is troubling. I fear for him. He's in orbit right now and needs to come back down to Earth. I just hope and pray he doesn't burn up on reentry.
So looks like Jaelen Gill will get his first shot as a receiver, judging by where he's seated at that dinner.
Good luck to Devin Smith as he continues to try and reach his potential! Get healthy!!
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Art Schlichter was an iconic high school athlete. We were in awe of his abilities...on the basketball court. I was actually surprised when he went to play for Woody, instead of Eldon Miller.
Reading that WMD makes me wonder just how much of his 'problem' since high school may be rooted in CTE; he ought to donate his brain to science. It would help make a better end to his story...
I don’t care for Emmert nor for what he has done, but I will never disparage anyone from convincing someone else to pay them a lot of money. Get yours from who ever will give it to you.
For a reminder of how things can go bad, I resurrect the tale of Ben Siegert, a tight end with our erstwhile first opponent this season. Two good things happened: 1) He didn't hit anyone or anything while driving drunk. 2) The ram he stole from a sheep homosexuality study eventually mounted ewes so he didn't steal a gay ram. Imagine you are Mike Riley and getting that phone call. No news about current players is great news.
Holy sheep - that is hilarious. I realized too late that this was from 2007, but still - outstanding story on many fronts. Thanks for the share!
I didn't realize until today, the Fulmer Cup is still a thing. I thought Incarnate Word's only claim to fame was playing Baylor.
You sir, have just justified my waking up today. Glad to know that exists
"Touchdown Tim" Beck is absolutely correct for his nickname - he was good for one touchdown a season
