Long live the Buckeye recruiting dynasty.
Pain of Discipline

Take Your Pick
The Canes site seems to think Battle is almost a done deal to the Buckeyes, despite his recent visit to Coral Gables.
Expecting a fun weekend in Buckeyeland.
Appreciate the coverage, recruiting team.
Got M...igan gossip? Bang it here.
I really hope we lock up Zach miller for 2020 and don’t try to chase Bailey or that west coast kid everyone loves at qb.
2020...*sighs* Where does the time go...
EXACTLY! Please don't miss on a high end, high quality, high caliber guy vs. chasing someone you'll be in a dogfight with to keep (even IF he committed) until signing day. Then you're shaking the bushes, again, for "best left".
Jack Miller right?
Good one Slickity. It was like a combo between Jack Miller and Zach Harrison.
Any QB from Chapparal High School must be a gunslinger. Looks like a young Clint Eastwood.
Jameson Williams WOW
I may not be the sharpest crayon in the box but I'm one of the most colorful.
Yeh - he has speed for sure, but he also has some size and looked very hard to bring down.
And Williams is listed the #146? this young man should be vaulting up the rankings. Damn...
What's round on the ends and high in the middle? Tell me if you know!
Same thought. If he’s 146, who is in front of him?
I thought Zach WAS going to be at FNL? :-(
He will be at Michigan on Friday. Gets to OSU for OV on Saturday.
East Coast living with Ohio roots
I'm guessing "Friday" Night Lights is actually on Saturday this time around? That might be where my disconnect is.
EDIT: Or wait, maybe I am correct? I'm so confused.
I'd like more, but I think we probably only come out with 2 booms at most. Battle and 1 of the MO WRs at best. Future is still bright regardless.
I want a fall Saturday in Ohio Stadium..
I get the impression Battle and Washington's commitment articles are already written.
Likely - along with others probably to come by the end of the summer.
Personally, I am not too worried if we don't land a big time QB this year. If we don't, it SHOULD open the door for a really big-time QB next year.
Like minds, Nutty. Like minds. "Give me Jack Miller or give me death!"
'Vel primus, velcum primis'
We must have been twins separated at birth!!
I want all of them.
If Pitt could get 9 dudes to make up their mind on the same day.....so can the Buckeyes. These guys need to all chat with one another this weekend and decide to make this class/and 2020 the two best ever.
When they decide they want to win 2 National Titles (back-to-back) and not just possibly one...
Then their decision will be clear for them.
And they'll make NCAA history for the Buckeyes.
Make the obvious choice fellas.
Knowledge is Power
Andrew, if the Buckeyes land Williams and Washington in addition to Wilson, are we talking about their greatest WR haul ever?
Brian Maurer, come on down!
16-2 is SWEET!
How many guys committed at last year's FNL/weekend? Just want to set my expectations appropriately.
Going completely off memory which is getting worse every day, I feel like we had one commit during and one right after?
I don't recall any committing. I believe 1 did the following wwek. Anyone?
I think we NEED to have Darvon Hubbard - if not on his name alone. We can't let our home-bred young men escape.
This kid is a Top10-15 RB. From Ohio. Loves the school. A run through a brick wall for ya kinda kid.
Jack Miller • Quarterback • Scottsdale, Arizona • ★★★★ • Nat. Rank (2020): No. 58
Last QB we had from Arizona did pretty well.
I aim to misbehave.
Baller!!!! Classic Haskins behind JT situation with Germaine behind Jackson. Even my grandpa knew that Germaine should have been playing a year earlier. I recall reasons like “mobility” and “leadership” being tossed around as well as to why Jackson was starting over Germaine.
*deep breath, cracks knuckles*
Okay, first of all, the situations are nowhere near the same. Barrett is the most prolific QB in conference history; Jackson was talented, but prone to immaturity on the field which got him kicked out of at least one game that I remember. John Cooper played Jackson and Germaine as 1A and 1B; Barrett was the clear starter, no matter how much screaming the Haskins Horde did after Oklahoma and Iowa this past season. Jackson and Germaine played a comparable number of snaps; Haskins, until now, has always come on in relief. Jackson and Germaine were known quantities, as was Barrett; Haskins, not so much, unless you talk to the sheer number of Nostradamuses and alternative universe travelers that make up the Horde. Starting against TSUN, Jackson/Germaine: 1-2; Barrett: 4-0 (last year's line: W: Barrett, L: O'Korn, S: Haskins (1)). Cooper had a habit of playing dueling quarterbacks; Meyer, not so much, unless it was to get a talent like Tebow or (this year) Martell on the field.
To summarize: *whistle, penalty flag thrown* Personal foul, false equivalency, trying to make a comparison where there is none. 15 yards, loss of down. 4th down. Punt the damn ball.
*steps down off soapbox*
No to nitpick, but wouldn't Haskins technically get the W? Buckeyes were trailing when he left the game, which would mean Haskins gets the W not the save.
I am here for the same reason you are.
"Man I wish everyone stop saying I beat a kid in the hospital 91-35.... It was 98-35, had 91 with 1:26 left in the 4th"
- Cardale Jones
Lealman, my comment was not meant to rile anyone. Just saw similarity, that’s all. You can have your opinion and I can have mine.
You will never know and I will never know whether we would have made the playoff had Haskins been our starter last year. What we DO know, is we did not make it with JT starting last year when a lot of people were clamoring to see what other horses we had in the QB stable.
Andrew -- you've got Jordan Battle listed as #65 overall, which is where 247 ranks him in their own ranking. His 247composite rank is 170. If you prefer 247's own rankings, that's cool. But then you list Marcus Washington as #62 overall, which is his 247composite rank (247's own rank is 117). Cumong man, we're above cherry-picking rankings, aren't we?
I wasn't cherry-picking anything. I merely listed the wrong ranking for one player on the list. But thanks for the heads up. It's updated.
Urban Meyer, undefeated (7-0) VS ttun | Ryan Day, undefeated (2-0) vs ttun
*As always, In (Urban) Ryan Day I Trust! There is a plan, even if we cannot see it right now!
God, Family, Guns, Country, and Sports!
This is great stuff! Thanks, Team!
Damn so Harrison wont be at FNL?? I know he has nothing else to prove but i at least thought he would come to this big event.
He was never coming to FNL and he really doesn't like the whole recruiting deal, prefers to keep things low key. He'll be at OSU Saturday morning for his official and I like the good guys chances.
Yep i know he's reserve, i didnt know until this article that he has a visit here this Sunday. At least OSU gets the final stab at him.
Can anyone update me on the history of the Bosa brothers recruiting?
Did they continue.....to draw........and drawwwww.......and draaawwwwww...out their decision to be a Great Buckeye defensive lineman.......
....or did they say YEP....this is the best place for me to be if I want be a NCAA Legend and an NFL football player?
QB is a must this year.
