I don't know why, but I like it.

I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...

Haha yeah that is actually pretty funny.

Have to try not to think about it too much, or I'll end up arguing that it is just further emboldening that Tide air of superiority.

Do they watch a lot of American football over there? Maybe we should be looking to put NFL expansion teams in Mexico rather than pushing so hard for the UK. Makes so much more sense.

I think so, actually. The Raiders played a home game against the Pats in Mexico City and it was reportedly bananas

At the border football is big! Tijuana HS actually have teams that cross and play US teams. It's a thing.

As far as NFL goes, the Cowboys are kings. Many many Vaqueros fans out there. I was surprised, but yeah football is alive and well south of the border. It's not anywhere near as popular as soccer (futbol) or boxing as sports go, but there is more than a small cult following.

Honestly, I'm not sure Mexico could support financially an expansion team south of the border. Ticket prices would need to come down quite significantly for anyone to attend. TV contracts are not near what they are in the US. Knock-off apparel for current NFL teams is already a problem, and I don't know how you stop that really. So yeah, Canada or England would be better support financially for the NFL.

Interesting stuff, thanks for the insights. You also make good points about the financial aspect. I guess logistically it makes a lot of sense but that's not what the NFL, or any business, prioritizes. But just the time and distance turns me off to UK. Canada makes the most sense out of the three imo.

Somehow I think Mexico should schedule Bama the third Saturday in November, before they play their biggest rival.
