Hope his knee recovers well. Praying we dont ever need him but if he's ready itll help the QB depth with Joey gone.

Kenny G, some kid named Joe Thomas...

Might be some time off yet, but have a good feeling about where the Bus could be going (based on where he's from).

I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...

As much as I dislike LT, glad to see the Austin to OSU pipeline growing with Baldwin, Wilson and possibly Higgins.

Amen.  That is a pipeline that pays.

I survived Cooper, and I hate Tai Streets.

Not a pessimist, but I get the feeling we see him in 2018...

I'm no recruiting expert but re-watching his tape again gives me great comfort.  He looks just as good, if not better (to me), than the film on most of the 2019 QB's we are targeting.  And Baldwin played against some really good competition in Texas.  I think we are in very good hands if we happen to miss on a 2019 QB as their will be a strong bridge between Baldwin and Jack Miller (fingers crossed).

There are a lot of nice passes on that highlight reel, especially considering that he only started one year.  He looks to have very good range, good touch, and throws well on the move.  He's a nice addition.

My aim, then, is to whip the Weasels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.   - William Tecumseh Sherman (with apologies)

liked his versatility to right or left and good coordination on throwing on the move.

those long ones look nice in HS.... he'll need to throw earlier in D1....

His accuracy on the run is impressive.

HS
Buck68's picture

his on-the-move throwing mechanics appear unusually smooth to me.  He doesn't seem to need a big wind-up or long arm motion....

emory

is a memory

we ought to remember

about our assessing and decisionmaking....

for he was a 'leader'... from somewhere behind...

and his 'leading' seemed to be...

hard to find.

===yes it would have been a 'risk' to break it off early...

but perhaps more lingering and lasting to go though months of vacillating....

especially for the followers of that recruit class...?

Great accuracy...runs well enough.  We stole one!

Why would someone post that "As much as they dislike JT"?

He said "LT" as in Lake Travis. Not JT

He looks very good, particularly when you factor in the talent of his opposition and the strength of his coaching staff!

Kid can sling it, hope he's 100% healthy by fall camp.

His highlights remind me of Haskins. A little less zip, but highly acurate with good mobility.

Yep, with more reps under our coaches he'll be ready to go.

I knew I'd like this kid the more I heard him speak !!

Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!

It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.

Good accuracy and anticipation. Spin should get better with time and the dojo. Another 3* overlooked until he lights up the field on game day in 2-4 years.

Although he was a 3* in the beginning of the year he ended up as a composite 4* by the end of his senior season.

Watching him speak and seeing his highlights again makes me less nervous about the QB situation this year.

I hope we don't have to play him, but if he's healthy with spring, summer practices under his belt, along with some real game prep experience.

Seems like a good program player, much like all of our qb's since Meyer has been here. Hopefully he actually gets to play because it looks like he sure can. The one thing he chose to let people know about him: that he's a fierce competitor and he'll do what it takes to win. I like to hear that.

Impressed with his ability to drop a dime over tight coverage, especially in the red zone.

Don’t do it kid.  Run the other way.

As I look at Baldwin vs. 2020 Miller and Bailey, I like Miller more, but somehow I think that Baldwin could be better than Bailey.  That said, I am basing this off of tape, which is really hard to do for a QB.
