Wish Aaron luck on the court and off of it. Seems like a great young man and always represented OSU with class and is a great example is what a student athlete should be.
Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
Best of luck to him. 28 is a little old to go to medical school though. He'd be 35-36 by the time he could even practice.
There's been plenty older people that do it - though I'm a bit surprised he didn't take the MCAT already if he's serious, since him as a med student was talked about since before his senior year.
Doesn't the MCAT have a lifetime. He may want to play ball, thus the delay.
Beat everyone, in every sport, all the time!!!
28, 35-36 is old?
If you die before you die, then you won't die when you die.
So? I know doctors who have practiced into their early 80s. And I’m sure he’s made a decent enough chunk of $ to afford him the luxury of time
Old is a mindset. A good friend is in her first year of residency at 33. She was the oldest in the class, but will have a long time to practice medicine.

Do what you dream of doing.
You Got Barbecue Back There!?!?!?!
Yep...and no matter when you dream/decide to do it.
He'll still be 35-36 in a few years whether he goes to school or not...might as well!
Not really. A lot of people don't have their career path figured out until late 20's. You realize that if he becomes a fully practicing doctor at 35-36 he will be able to do his job for probably at least 30 years and even longer if he chooses to.
I'm 57 and I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up...
Grow up? Who said anything about growing up?
My wife and 18 year old daughter. lol
You know you’re in trouble when your kids lap you in the maturity department.

Thinking about building a tree fort big enough for the flat screen and running a cable out there so I can watch the games and not be bothered.
This is my job so growing up is not in our repertoire!

That's good, Zilla! Just before and after meals!
my nephew went back to school, graduated from OSU Med school a couple of years ago - at 37 years old. Finishing his residency in DC now.
Aaron Craft is my favorite Buckeye of all time. He was an amazing athlete at Ohio St. and continues to be an amazing man. So much respect!
Definitely miss AC.
One of the best, really represents what a student-athlete should be, as well as the university.
Yep. Always liked him and now I like him even more.
Good luck in whatever you do AC, glad you are a Buckeye for life. A well rounded guy with a bright future.

I have always been a huge Aaron Craft fan, and reading this reminds me of why. Sounds like he is still an exceptional Buckeye. Good luck, AC!

Aaron was and remains a great Buckeye both on and off the court. Class act! . . . much like Tate and KBD from our most recent team.
So cool to get caught up on A-Craft and what he's been doing overseas.
Gotta give him props - still studying.
Here we come dabo !!

Great article Harry. This series is fantastic.
Miss those rosy cheeks.
Honoured to be from the same town as this guy...and to have the same destination.
You're from LB?
And you're going to Monaco???? ;)
Findlay. LB is not a town, but a school just outside of Findlay.
Correct. Most that go to LB are from the rural areas like Benton Ridge. I grew up 15 miles away and we regularly competed against LB.
Where Jumar? I went to Van Buren...after a year at Patrick Henry.
CG. They always had a good track team, though their new track was terrible before the pine trees got large enough to block the wind. I was a few years older than Craft, but my wife's family went to PG and played against him often.
Uhhh, those "practice" days involve 4-6 hours of real work, including lifting time? Otherwise, you're free to wander around Europe, beach, etc.? I get the NBA millions, but that lifestyle may be even better.
And man, Monaco and the Cote d'Azur are phenomenal. Lucky bastard!
Life is full of choices. Make good ones.
Aaron Craft is still my favorite all time Buckeye basketball player. Thank you, Harry, for the update article.
Thanks much, Harry Wexner, for this update. It is fun to read about what guys are up to years later.
BTW, what are Diebler And DT doing now?
Our honor defend, so we'll fight to the end !
I actually met a guy in Georgetown, Ontario who knows Jon Diebler from a church in Turkey!
Playing pro ball in Monaco.... I may be a little jealous!
It would be great if he went to med school at Ohio State when he decides to leave the court.

My favorite Buckeye of all time. I remember that by the end of his tenure, many were so ready to get rid of him. I understand that he didn’t have the perfect game and there was a ceiling to what he could do, but that never mattered to me. You can keep your blue chip recruits. I’ll take an Aaron Craft over that any day. Reminds me of another Buckeye great that many were all too happy to discard this year. Here’s to hoping that in a few years JT gets the Mask Off treatment and we can all reflect on just how good we had it.
God Bless Aaron. Awesome that you have Jesus in your life.
Aaron Craft was what exactly what Ohio State fans expect from Ohio basketball players. Loved watching him for 4 years.
