Forgive me if I missed it but I wonder what his 40 time is. Special teams gets you on the field. Hoping he gets some exposure to game time.

Hoping he’s even just a fraction of the ball hawk his brother was. If so, we’ve got us some good times ahead.

If this Hooker is anywhere near as good as the last Hooker, we'll be fine.

Well, the last Hooker was tested - so we knew we were safe.

Hopefully the younger Hooker has learned a lot from the older Hooker. Then they will both make that cash.

He's got a lot to prove but I believe he'll do just fine when the opportunity arises.

Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!

It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.

I don't know about freakish athletic ability ... but he certainly seemed fast enough!

You don't know what you have until it's gone .... for example, toilet paper.

Love them Hookers!

Love the game over any team fandom.

There isn't anything like the first hooker

Ooo, there's some nasty good hits, with strong form.  You got that right, he's a good football player.

After watching his tape, I’m surprised he wasn’t higher than a 3 Star.

I live about 20 minutes from New Castle I would say a low 4 for him but this area doesn't have the football talent like it once had and not a lot of love around here I think. Living in Ohio most of my life and now in Pa. I get in arguments all the time about the two states with these folks here. I see it as Pa. has talent but the teams stink compared to Ohio. That's because the coaching is so much better in Ohio. Western PA is really down and it shows in the playoffs here.

Thanks for the input. Someone apparently doesn’t like your remark about the area, so here’s an upvote to balance it out.

If that was towards me on the area that's fine we all have opinions. I can only go on what I see and players landing spots. Just look at how many Pa. offers we have put out and look at the top 250 year after year should say something too. Erie had a couple big names Franklin had a nice te and Hickory had the Pryts kid who went to Stanford we offered. Just not the hot bed it once was even the Hooker boys had Pitt W.Va. type offers.

Trust me. It’s tough to follow a legendary older brother.

I don’t see it.

I watched him a lot as a junior and right away said please go to Pitt. I watched him once as a senior just to see if improvement was made and there was some. The story above is pretty right on about him he is not as athletic or as fast but has the same body type and will hit you more than his brother. He doesn't have the leaping ability either but two things he has over his older brother is more time playing football Malik played just two years. The other is how he can close on a receiver after being beat . Anyone you talk to in New Castle will say he is not as good as his brother. That comes from the old time fans in New Castle that followed them for years. For sure a great student and polite as hell and mom runs the show too.

Let's see what our coaches can do for him.  He sounds ideal. I especially like hearing that he's a student.  The mix of  brains and superior athletic ability will develop and do very well here.

Hard not to like th little brothers!  Will expect excellence.  Just need to keep working.

The kid is an athlete, you can just see it. I really feel once he can focus on one position and one only he will perfect it and become the best he can be. The potiential is there.

His highight reels are pretty darn impressive - the athleticism is in the blood, should he come in and put in the work I can see him blossoming into a very good player (a la older bro).

I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low...

I know you have to consider level of competition, but I wonder if those guys trying to tackle him in the first highlight would consider him a freak athlete.
