I think what's kind of crazy is that both the Browns and Bengals are, and should be in a position to get multiple Buckeyes to fill holes on their roster that are very relevant at the moment.
Both teams could use edge rushers, and the Buckeyes have 3 that are going to end up getting their name called this weekend.
It's going to be very interesting to see how this plays out to the finish.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
I agree 100% I love the Bengals choice of Billy Price. I have been frustrated as they pass up Buckeye players and draft other players (Marvin loves SEC players). I wanted them to draft Elflein last year. They could have drafted Andrew Norwell, or Carlos Hyde. Finally, they have drafted a Buckeye early! It makes me feel better. They need more. They need a fast linebacker (Jerome Baker?), a safety (Denzel Ward?) a tackle (would Jamarco be happy?). Come on Bengals! I am cautiously optimistic.
You Got Barbecue Back There!?!?!?!
Hey UC fans, you and your pro teams could use an infusion of winning attitude. The Bearcats, Bengals, and Reds sure dont know how to win anything.
"I find your lack of kalua disturbing" - Darth Lebowski
Maybe? Fickell's the coach at UC now. The dude has some experience in the winning department. Though I believe he hasn't been the immediate cure-all UC was hoping him to be.
And, true, the Bengals and Reds are currently pretty bad. But just a few years ago they were two of the winningest teams in their respective leagues. Could they ever get over the playoff hump/win the big one? No. But, until recently, many said the same thing about our beloved Buckeyes.
combine that with a mediocre head coach and an owner who has probably more than once considered having the practice facility just be an abandoned barge in the Ohio river
LOL. Yes. Or an abandoned parking lot. Whichever. God I hate Mike Brown.
There's always that qualifier when discussing Cincinnati and Ohio State, that it's not the majority BUT There is, however, "a deeply insecure minority that immediately rejects anything north of Dayton and east of I-71...." So ridiculous. I lived there 9 years and at times felt like I may as well have lived in Ann Arbor with how bitter they were towards OSU down there. Terrible fans. Unless it's Cincinnati they hate it.
Enjoy the mediocrity, folks!
As a Cincinnati resident, Bengals "fan" and alumni of UC...I say and always will say GO BUCKS. My money went to UC but my heart belongs to the Buckeyes.
PS: Whatever the Bengals have been doing is not working so all you myopic Buckeye haters should be glad that the Buckeye Brand is coming to town. BTW, I was at the spring game in PBS when it drew 10x as many fans as the UC game up the street.

Probably all "haters" who showed up just to boo.
Didn't seem like haters to me !
I was there as well. Go Buckeyes.
I hate the offseason.
I'll go out on a limb and predict the Browns use one of their second-round picks to select at least one other Buckeye. Add in they now have Carlos Hyde and I'll pay them more than passing interest this fall.
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
Welcome to Cin-tucky. You tried so hard not to be Columbus that you ended up being????? The hidden truth is there are plenty of Buckeye fans in Cincy but like Trump voters in California they don't dare admit it in mixed company (I know from experience). Good luck Billy; wear the Scarlet and Gray loud and proud!
You tried so hard not to be Columbus that you ended up being?????
I'm not sure how one would try "not to be" a city. But not once have I ever heard this sentiment. Also, Cincinnati is significantly older than Columbus.

Not at all accurate. Go to pretty much any sports bar in Cincinnati. If someone is trying to hide it, they're doing a pretty crappy job.
I'm down here in Cincinnati and rep the Buckeyes all day everyday.. what are UC fans gonna say? Where are your championships, your Mecca Stadium, your draft picks, your wins over The Ohio State University? Go ahead and sit down little bearkittens so we can all get along.
But I also hate being called Kentucky.. I live in Ohio. Fck UK, UL and all that BS
Cincybuck and Crusader are spot on. I have a ton of Buckeye friend's in Cincy and they rep OSU loud and proud.
"Rest easy Woody theres a new sheriff in town"
Couldn't have said it better myself
SteelyDan is a moron. Plain and simple. There’s a ton of Buckeye love in Cincy. I’d say just as much as love as there is for UC. Idiots on here constantly creating phony controversy that Cincy folks don’t like OSU is pure garbage. Completely fake news.
Huh? Cincinnati has always been comfortable in it's own skin, and has never, from 1786 or whenever on, shown any desire to be Columbus.
Spoken like a true Butthurt Northern Ohio Snowflake!! Gtfo with that crap. Cincy all day.
Ginter, you retweeted those anti-OSU comments? That's what the green arrows indicate.
- OSU ISE -+- Premium Banter -+- OH48 80k -
Be careful. Our Buck-I-Guy pitchforks are still sharp and we've restocked on torches.
I'm sure he retweeted to show how lame those folks were.
ding ding ding ding
bengals fans getting mad at billy price for daring to mention ohio state after he got drafted is the most hilariously predictable cincy thing ever. you could gift a ton of gold bullion to a bengals fan and they'd dump it in the ohio river if someone stuck a buckeye sticker on it

Fake news!! Go home son.
Regarding those tweets -- it doesn't take a genius to use twitter, obviously.
Success - it's what you do with what you've got. - Woody Hayes
Personally want another OG or OT in the second, but depending on the choice, would be happy with jones or baker in the 3rd round and one of the DE's a little later
I'm still thoroughly convinced that since both Ohio teams (especially the Bengals) drafted a Buckeye in the 1st round, it will snow in Ohio in July. Just sayin'.
About damned time they woke up and smelled the coffee.
Excellent work Johnny.
I find it fascinating that among fellow Browns fans, there aren't too many that aren't Buckeye fans. There certainly isn't the vocal opposition to them, even if they are a minority of the fans! On the Browns facebook posts during the whole pre-draft process, every time they posted scouting reports on Buckeyes, the comments were filled with nothing but fans giving them a hard time for never drafting Buckeyes!!
God, the whole Cincinnati hates Ohio State thing is just so wrong and infuriating, and I really can't stand it when northern Ohioans bash Cincinnati for whatever reason. Yes, we have other local teams, but the Ohio State fan and student/alumni population here is also pretty large. You take loud UC fan twitter comments and try to stick it on the whole town.
Amen. They sound like complete morons with that stuff and clearly have no idea what they’re talking about.
This article is so spot on my feelings, I swear you copied it straight out of my brain. The one thing I really like about the Bengals taking buckeyes is that it helps me invest in them a little more. If the Bengals lose, I won’t lose sleep (thank god). But, if they lose with Buckeyes than it starts to matter a little more to me.
I did my undergrad at Ohio State and got my Master's Degree at the University of Cincinnati and have lived here in the "Deep South" of Cincinnati, Ohio ever since then. The irony is that I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio as a Bengals fan, because my dad quit being a Browns fan when Modell fired Paul Brown. My reason was everyone likes either the Browns or Steelers, but since Cinci was still in Ohio, I went along with dad.
I love them both and follow each, but the hatred for the Buckeyes is understandable. Everyone hates a winner. The dislike for Buckeyes who are not on your favorite NFL team is a bit tougher, but also understandable. Go Bucks!
