Beyond exceptional DL play leads to exceptional OL play is something that is great to read.  Hard not to get both excited and anxious about that potential for this season!

Heal and stay healthy this summer!  The future will be bright.

Beat everyone, in every sport, all the time!!!

1. It would not be duplicitous to say Jalen Hurts may be on the TCU sideline when the Buckeyes come to town, albeit as a transfer redshirt.

2. Summer workouts need to be eleven on eleven so linemen can work their craft as well. Emerging leaders need to make it happen.

Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.

volunteer summer workouts and visits need to comply with all NCAA rules and include a versatile set of drills crafted by the players to hone fundamentals, synchronizing and sustaining blocks, and breaking down the elements of man & zone pass coverage at each D level.   Then, at various points, 'scrimmaging' [11v11] for fun at ye olde college cookout....

nb.  This is not 'duplicitous' it's just 'practicing' compliance just like 'the experts' say ... as compared to 'do'.

it really HURTS me to be forced to freely post this....

Alabama with an elite quarterback is not something I want to spend a lot of time thinking about or discussing.

I am with DJ in not wanting to spend time thinking about Alabama with an elite QB.

DEPARTMENT OF SPENDING THE TIME YOU'RE NOT WANTING TO....

In terms of leadership/coaching, the old saying "he can beat your team with his people, and his team with your people" might be a more productive study for each follower and leader.

I cannot believe that I sat and read the entire bean wmd, yet here I am. I will say it has given me a slightly different take on beans, which are a food that while I do not dislike, I also do not seek out. I may well now check out a few more types of them to see what the fuss is all about. This quote was great no matter your affinity for beans, or lack thereof:

Cooking beans is like going to see clowns and sword swallowers at a circus, only to find them all sitting inside the tent, playing canasta.

I cannot wait to see the tight end as a major part of the arsenal. Not sure it will ever happen, but Rucker sounds like the OSU version of that guy who can bust down the middle and open things up across the field.

I have to imagine that after facing a Bosa in practice everyday, blocking other edge rushers is a little bit easier. Just like if you watch the practice of a State Champion wrestler you will often see them wrestling teammates that are 20-40 lb. heavier than them. It makes their same weight opponents feel like rag dolls.

iowabuckeyes's picture

And then there’s Kyle Snyder, who not only practiced against heavier teammates, including his younger brother, but wrestled against much heavier opponents and won. Nick Bosa is to Thayer Munford as Snyder is to Adam Coon. Watching that tape, Bosa almost looks tiny in comparison.

I agree, it is crazy that Snyder, is able to beat such a big man in Coon. Great matches. Snyder might be the greatest international wrestler of all time when he is done. In the 1970's the NCAA had no weight limit. Look up a wrestler name Chris Taylor from Iowa State. He weighed over 400LB. and was also an Olympic bronze medalist in Greco Roman. Their is a great picture of some one in the Olympics suplexing him.

One definition of duplicity is “the quality or state of being double or twofold”... suggesting perhaps there’s true genius behind BuckeyePops duplicate post as he adroitly and covertly weaved the meaning of today’s word of the day into what might otherwise be construed as an innocent double tap.

Gotta think Nebraska could be a solid landing spot for Hurts if he does depart.

Priority #1:  Beat Michigan

HS
iowabuckeyes's picture

His father put a shot across Alabama’s bow and said Hurts might become the biggest free agent in college football history if he’s not named the starter. And he might be right. Meanwhile, Saban is understandably doing his best Kevin Bacon at the end of Animal House impression and counseling everyone to remain calm. But there are several P5 schools that already run an RPO offense he could excel in (Texas, UCLA, TCU, and Nebraska, to name just a few) and many coaches who would willingly modify their offense to fit him.

If he leaves, I’ll bet dollars to donuts that there will be stories headlined, “Hurts, don’t it?” or something to that effect.

I have bad news for Hurts and his father. He isnt the starter for the Crimson Tide any longer. After watching their spring game last night, he isnt even the back-up. Mac Jones looked way better throwing the ball and also better going through his progressions quickly. Freshman arent supposed to look better than 3rd year guys going through their progressions. Watched the National Championship game with an Army Bud who is a Tide fan. Told him then that there are 2 people who wount be on the Bama roster this year from that game, Jalen Hurts and whoever the kicker was. Texted him last night while i was watching the Spring game after the 1st 2 series and told him I liked Jones better than Hurts throwing the ball already. He replied, "turn it off, it doesnt get any better for Hurts. You were right, hes gone!". Herman made JT look like a much better passer than he actually was, maybe Hurts and his father were paying attention.  If I'm Hurts, I go to Texas. If I'm Bama and Saban, I let him go.

Prayers to the Bruce family.

Agree with Mr, Hurts thoughts to his son. But why play them out in the media?

Is CJ Saunders wearing yoga pants?

Go Bucks and michigan STILL SUCKS!

The Scarlet team may have lost the Spring game, but they do great honor in maintaining the Buckeye Grove. I think it's become a great tradition. And a little trigger time with the pitchforks, shovels, and wheelbarrows is good for the body and mind.

Go Bucks.

I remember nothing but class and warmth from coach Bruce whenever he was at the OSU pro shop where I worked as a student. He was like Woody that way. All very genuine. RIP coach.

Bruce was an excellent #2 man

Mack not only impressed me in that game, still totally underestimated how good he is.

after watching two stacked teams like Alabama and Buckeyes not win with a run only QB, Hurt's got to realize he has to work on his passing game.
