Better Know a Buckeye: Master Teague Couldn't Pass Up an Opportunity to Join Ohio State's Loaded Backfield

Isn't he coming off an injury his senior year? Or do I have him confused with someone else?

Either way, welcome Master!

I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.

You're right, but I think he was full go when Spring ball started. I know he was running before he left high school.

I know some of the highlight films use slo-motion, but I think they used some fast-motion as well the way he was pulling away from people!

I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.

Excited to see where he ends up in the line up of RB's in the next couple of years. I believe he'll be even better than advertised.

Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!

It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.

Lots of potential for the young Buck. 4.3 at 211 impressive.

Master Teague is a disciplined, athletic monster. Had he been healthy his final year, his rating would have been much higher. Not that it matters. His play on the field will be proof enough of his skill.

A couple years to develop into a complete back with blocking and receiving skills will go far in seeing MTIII break into the lineup. Welcome to the jungle!

RS this year. Dobbins backup in 2019. Starter or co-starter with Snead in 2020. Drafted in 2021. Sounds like a good plan to me.

How did MTIII get to be a 4 star RB? No speed, no size and yet he picks up another star.

Power with speed. Solid, grounded kid with great family support. Great work ethic. Perfect football and academic environment.

I predict success.

Ohio State fans that hope to see Teague on the field in the near future will be impressed most by his power with this speed. Remember Trent Richardson at Alabama?

Richardson did not have 4.3 speed and his frame was very different. I don't think that was a good example for a comparison.

5'11"? He looks 6'3" on film.  Those were some small kids he was playing against.  Hopefully he gets some reps in the spring game and we can see how he stacks up on the field with other legit athletes. Hoping he's El Guapo Dos.

RS for all 3 RB ? I expect much from all 3 (eventually). I had been hoping that perhaps Mr. Gill might offer a great spark on both KO and punt returns. We shall see.

Kids got some wheels. So glad he's a buckeye. Good luck young man.

Kind of reminds me of Emmitt Smith in his style. Runs low, not a lot shiftiness, but looks like he has great balance.

I think his ceiling is higher than both Weber and Dobbins. If he just stays the course and continues to get stronger and get more reps, he's going to be a monster come his sophomore and junior seasons.

I to think of Carlos Hyde, may he have such a career as to have the fewest negative yardage plays for a back that I have ever known!

Obviously he didn't run track this year, but does anyone know if he ran track previously?  And, if so, do you have any track times you could share?

I agree with the Emmitt Smith comparison above, but, if I saw his video and didn't know anything about him, I would not guess that he had 4.3 speed from those clips.

A joy which death alone can still.
