Year one I could see this kid becoming an absolute monster on the ST squad. Seems like the kind of kid that would be gritty in that role and take pride in it as he knows it's his best path to seeing the field at LB.
Go get em DG!
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
There was an Aaron Gant that played for OSU late in the Tressel era. Out of West Bloomfield, MI. No relation?
"Woody would have wanted it that way"
We have that problem in Toledo with Ohioan being confused about what side of the border they live in.
I know. Drives me nuts.
"If you're not changing, you're falling behind."
Findlay has the same issues. Once you get to Lima, the Scarlet and Gray is a lot more dominant.
Maybe that's the Lima Senior thing, but I don't think so.
Findlay by birth, Buckeye by the grace of God.
I always thought being a prophylactic was a bigger issue in Findlay.
Old FHS joke...
Why do Findlay High students go out in groups of three or more?
Trojans travel in packs.
Good stuff, and eager to see Gant do some damage soon.
Doesn't hurt the head coach is singling him out (positively) already.
I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low...
Loved the commitment video - hadn't seen it before. With his background, I think he's going to be a great LB for the Buckeyes!
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.
High character kid. His demeanor, intelligence and eloquence remind me of Joshua Perry. I look forward to him becoming a leader by example for the Buckeyes.
Oh, and he plays football well. ;)
"We get paid to score touchdowns, not kick field goals"
-- Urban Meyer
Very articulate - he's a play maker that Buckeye Nation will quickly fall in love with if they haven't already.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
When SJJ played Findlay last year, Gant was a force to be reckoned with. Great technique, a nose for the ball and a motor that doesn't quit.
Saw him play in high school as he went to my alma mater. Really athletic and good awareness. Excited to see him hit the field.
Let's party Columbus
Looking forward to Mr. Gant making us stronger and better on defense. Special teams may be a smart path to getting on the field early on. Best of luck.
