Zach Harrison is yet another reason I hope OSU embarrasses PSU this year in their own stadium.
Little disappointed not to see a Bosa on this list, but I guess Harrison will have to do.
Sad that there are only two Ohio kids. Which also happens to be the same amount of Indiana kids, and Indiana HS football is terrible. Iknow he want to recruit nationally but I would love to see us sign more in state players.

Not going to win another national title by passing over 4-5 stars just to sign Ohio kids who might not be able to cut it.
"Sherman ran an option play right through the south" - Woody trolling the SEC.
Big Papa, this list really has no bearing on how many Ohio kids they sign, it's more about who their top priorities are at the moment. There are still plenty other Ohio kids in the mix, Potter, Correll, etc., not to mention, they already signed an Ohio kid in the 19 class. For the purposes of this article, it's difficult to put the number 5 player in Ohio, for example, ahead of guys like Dobbs and Wright. In other words, I wouldn't read too much into this, Meyer will always target the best of the best in Ohio, and in some cases, that will be a big haul, and in down years, it may mean a small haul. Just give me the best players in the Country, and I'm satisfied.
Not going to win a national title by letting 4/5 star in state recruits go elsewhere either. Jackson Carman, Tommy Kraemer,Liam Eichenberg, Brendan Ferns.
Like trey depriest?
Plenty of Ohio kids get an opportunity to play for Urban. How many walk-ons did we just have commit?
Lol... here's an up vote to counter one of your nine DVs. Where's the offensive part of this guy's comment?
When I die, sprinkle my ashes over the 70's
I didn't downvote but there have been so many posts by certain people about us needing to take more Ohio kids no matter what and quite frankly these constant posts don't make any sense whatsoever. The goal every year at Ohio State is to win national championships and so we are going to recruit the best players we can get. Why should anyone be considered more just because they are from Ohio, if they are not as good? I do agree that it shouldn't be downvoted as it is not offensive or disrespectful in any way, but I think people are just tired of reading these type of posts about more Ohio kids over and over.
Thank KMP 10. My biggest concern is that when Urban eventually leaves that there will not be many in state recruiting ties left. The next coach may not be as good of a nationwide recruiter and will have to work even harder to reestablish relationships with in state high schools. My point also was that Indiana football sucks but yet there was still the same amount on the list from there as from Ohio where the high school football is much better. It appears that we take in state recruits almost for granted. They kind of get strung along and offered at the last minute. When they do get offered early then they get shoved out the door ie. Danny Clark.
Not really sure why this is getting downvoted. Not deserving of upvotes (not even pity ones), either so we'll see where this ends up lol.
Agree, not sure why he’s getting so many DV’s. I dont agree with his post, but I certainly didn’t find it offensive
Want to piggie back on what IBLEEDS&G said because this is just a list of 11 recruits, as well as refute some of that Indian HS football is terrible mantra. Sure "most" Indiana football competition is well below what we have in Ohio BUT there are some great programs and plenty of great athletes in Indiana, some of which have been very good Buckeyes in recent years.
It's a great time to be a Buckeye!

Those top 2 kids in IN can play anywhere in the country so your point is kind of lost, now if were passing on highly rated ohio kids to make room for a 3 star IN kid than I could see your argument
^ best post ever ^
Axe cancer. Out indefinitely.
Very positive outlook for Harrison - I wonder what tactics Franklin is using to impress Zach.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Knowing Franklin's schtick, stretching the truth would be my guess.
"look at all these guys in front of you on their depth chart"
"I think some of these are intramural flag football players"
"NO THEY HAVE SO MUCH DEPTH, YOU'LL NEVER PLAY"

Ohio State > *ichigan
Urban > Hairbaugh
you haven't heard.....Ohio State is getting rid of its football program
The days of signing a majority of Ohio players are over. That will give a chance to compete for big ten crown. To win the whole thing you take the best players no matter from China or Youngstown.
The Chinese football program can't even hold a candle to Indiana - much less Ohio. #cmonman
Reading this early list of hopefully Buckeys, I feel like a one-eyed cat in a seafood store. I just can't take it all in at once. I realize not all will be a Buckeye but, like last year 6 out of 11 wasn't all that bad. Let's not assume Harrison will be a Buckeye just because he lives close to C-bus. (After learning Jackson claimed our assumptions was one reason he chose Clemson). Let's just let him know we would love to have him on the team, and hope that it fits his needs as a student/athlete.

Not the same thing. Jackson lives in Fake Ohio (sw Ohio) and Harrison lives in suburban Columbus. If you’re from Columbus and don’t have a defective personality, it’s an easy choice if offered.
Side note, when I hear Harrison’s name in the same sentence as penn State I feel like the old lady getting ni’d at by the Knights Who Say Ni.
I keep reading that we want 2-3 pure OTs, but the list of who is actually a pure OT keeps getting smaller. It sounds like Nester and Jacoby aren't. According to this article, Dobbs and Miller aren't. I'm pretty certain Zeke Correll isn't, and he didn't make this list. I'm not sure about Michael Tarquin, the only other OT name I've seen much of, but he didn't make this list either. That leaves Darnell Wright, who, by all indications, IS a pure OT. Where are the other 1-2 pure OTs going to come from? Or is the plan to take a bunch of OT/OGs (plus Wright) and see how it shakes out? It seems like that's what the staff is trying to avoid.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
This is my question as well. Wright is a pure OT and a huge priority but as you mentioned there are 5-6 other names below him on the board who I believe are better suited to play OG at the next level. Will be fun to see how the names shuffle around as we get into the meat of recruiting season.
I think Jacoby can probably play RT, but he may be better suited as a guard. Miller is supposedly being recruited at center; as is Correll. Like you said, Wright is a pure tackle. Dobbs probably can play tackle as well but at 6-foot-4 he doesn't have the ideal size. Tarquin maybe a guy who can play all over?
I honestly do think the plan may be to take Wright plus a few others who could play multiple spots and then see how they develop. But I'm sure other guys will surge up the board as seniors as well.
Don't forget Xavier Truss. His frame and length, along with some pretty good footwork for a kid his size, would tend to suggest that he is another "true" OT recruit.
"Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Our kids earn what they get, and that includes respect." -- Woody Hayes
For sure. Just seems like it's gonna be tough to get him away from PSU.
Andrew just my 2 cents I hope they don't do what you mentioned. I think that's what they did a few years back and struck out on most of them. They need to do their homework o line so hard to determine a players talent than any other position in my book. No offense sir as I am probably 3 times your age lol
Interesting, that in the past we've secured a QB to lead the class. Should be interesting to see what direction (pass first or run first) we go this cycle.
I hope the entire group of 5 star and the top 50% of better 4 star players at least are told that we want to discuss their recruit journey further.
Captain Obvious says "Want to get much more consideration from top talent ? Win the Natty. "
That list looks very positive. Let's kick some ass this year and go 13-0 heading into the playoffs!!!
Buckeye Offer Quavaris Crouch, Harding University, Charlotte NC, Head Coach has just left his school to take a HC job at Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg, NC. Why is this important news? Crouch was put on the straight and narrow by this head coach over the last 0couple of years and this could open the doors for the Buckeyes to make head way in his recruiting. While it says on 247 he is 50 50 Clemson/South Carolina, NC State is also a consideration. Now, everyone is in the hat. Good news for sure.
Today, Yesterday and Everyday Ryan Day Beat Michigan!
Let me see if I've got this straight: Crouch's coach, Sam Greiner, has left North Carolina to coach in Kentucky so now Crouch's recruitment is wide open? Was Greiner pushing him to Clemson or SCar? Otherwise, how does having Greiner out of the picture potentially open the door for Ohio State?

Man, I'm giving you an upvote just for taking a stab at interpreting that. From what I could tell, we offered a high school (or college?) coach. All I can say is, commas matter.

Also wanted to add that if OSU really is recruiting Correll and Miller at center then that is probably going to spell bad news for Correll's chances.
It feels like these days if you're being recruited as a center, you're being recruited as a guard too. Josh Myers was a left tackle in high school, now he's fighting to be the starting center. I bet Zeke Correll is good enough as an interior linemen that he'll be a take no matter where he ends up on the OL.
Ohio kids ranking by position is something to look at over ranking by state. Jacoby to me will be a guard if I had to say today but no matter there are 39 others ahead of him nationaly, Still those rankings will go up and down to most of these players.
