Best of luck Dylan!! Hope he has a chance to make a big impact for the Cavs.
Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
RIP ACC offenses. I'm not convinced he's not a werewolf. Don't schedule any night games.
Best of luck - hope it’s a safe landing spot for himself
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Good to hear. Wish him luck in the future and thank him for everything he did for Ohio State.
Earle’s target practice
Urban Meyer said it best about Thompson: “go do something”
best of luck
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Good for him. Charlottesville is one of my favorite college towns, really is a beautiful area
"The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish" - Charlie Chaplin
I live about 40 minutes from there. Great town...traffic sucks.
Mainly around the Grounds and on 29. Rest of it is not too bad.
Send the Earth Reverberating
Buck298. Agreed. Rt. 29 is getting better after construction for years. Do you live around there?
Went to school there as did my son. Go back when I can as C-ville is a nice town, see Monticello for the umpteenth time, watch a football game at Scott Stadium, etc. I really enjoy the area. You must be pretty close.
Just don't ever give $$ to Monticello...they will never leave you alone afterwards...I know : (
Oh yeah, and even after I moved they found me.
Me: hello (with new phone number and address)
Monticello: I know who you are and I know what I want. If you are looking for tickets, I can tell you we don’t have any today. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills we have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you send me a life long pledge now, that will be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will drain your bank account
I'm in the Shenandoah Valley, right near JMU.
Oh yeah, nice area! I hope my son can visit the Grounds sometime in the fall and catch a game.
In the meantime, I can still say go Hoos in regard to b-ball.
He must work out!
He didn't work out at Ohio State.
In all seriousness, I wish him the best of luck at Virginia.
Best of luck to Dylan Thompson.
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
Glad he found a new home, and I hope he has a great year.
For a dude who had rumored academic issues, getting a grad degree from UVA would be a nice accomplishment
A man got to have a code...
I had the same thoughts. After I completed my work at tOSU, I went on go get a grad degree At UVa. So I have familiarity with his upcoming academic challenges. But if this old Ohio farmboy could do it, I think he could too.
But I'm rooting for him. Go Dylan and go Hoos!
I’m looking at UVA for grad school after graduating from Ohio State, as well. Hopefully, I’ll be joining Dylan there in the fall.
This is definitely where I parked my car.
If you have any questions I’m sure either my son or I could help answer them.
A few items to remember: The campus is called the Grounds (never say campus). The fundergrads are referred to as 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th years. You cheer for the Hoos (short for Wahoos) not the Cavaliers, Thomas Jefferson is called Mr Jefferson. In speaking with a professor, don’t say professor, say Mr or Ms XXXX.
Have a Grills With at the Spot on the Corner at 2am after you have been out drinking.
What are you going to study?
Its a great place, soak it all in.
International relations. My entire family are George Washington University alumni, so it’s between either GW or UVA. D.C. was like a second home growing up, and I’m actually named after Thomas Jefferson. I appreciate the little tidbits of information, especially the food spots after a night of drinking.
You left out a key point:
Always remember there is a better university down in Blacksburg known as Virginia Tech...
Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle and mutilate.
Well, if you are studying Animal Husbandry I will concede that point.
I wish him luck and hopefully he gets some playing time over there.
I have no idea how this guy passes his drug tests...
Just go up and ask him.
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.
I agree, he has a very hard to attain build out of most natural athletes.
Ohio, the greatest state in the Union!
I saw somewhere he works out with Mike O'hearn. Idk if you've seen O'hearn but he is a freak of nature as well...
Wish him well.
Varys: I've always hated the bells. They ring for horror, a dead king, a city under siege.
Tyrion: A wedding.
Well, Go into that good night caveleirly then.
If football doesn't workout maybe a future on GoT. Dylan the Destroyer.
Best of Luck. Once a Buckeye always a Buckeye.
Buckeye til I die
My buddy is the track coach there. Maybe he can throw the hammer or something.
good luck Mr. Thompson. Once a Buckeye --

Now a Cavalier?
Good for him. Best of luck!
Interesting development for a guy whose scholarship was taken away for being academically ineligible. Now he’s going to one of the country’s top schools as a grad transfer. That says something to me about Thompson’s character. I hope he does well.
I recall watching Evan Lisle start a game for Duke. Not only does it make me feel good to see these guys succeed, it makes me feel even better about the talent they couldn’t beat out to see the field while they were in Columbus.
Good luck, Dylan. A to B for 4-6.
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke
Best of luck Dylan!
I didn't realize how well put-together he is. He's jacked! A testiment to his dedication during his time at OSU through all the ups and downs. Well done Dylan.
Fields of Dreams
Looked massive at the career fair last week. Was not surprised he was a DT.
Good luck Dylan. Hopefully a full injury recovery soon.
Presumably this helps us too, in reducing to the NCAA 85 max by Fall Camp Day 1.
He wasn't on scholarship so no help.
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
I'd be curious to know what graduate program Virginia has that OSU doesn't. That is part of the grad transfer rule.
I just looked this up. What you're referring to is the graduate transfer waiver, which is if someone who has already transferred once before wants to transfer again. So lets say Antwuan Jackson plays here for two years, graduates, and then wants to go play somewhere else while getting a grad degree. He would have to transfer to somewhere that had a unique grad program in order to still play NCAA football. Since Thompson has not transferred before, it doesn't matter where he goes. As long as he fits the criteria (has a Bachelors and some other small stuff) he can play at UV this year.
Good stuff. And let's be honest: the primary point of being a grad transfer is to continue your playing career but to do that, you still need to be enrolled in school. But no one gets a master's degree in one semester. Odds are he won't make the NFL and might not even start for UVA so it will be interesting to see if Thompson sticks with grad school after the season ends or if this fall will be his only semester in Charlottesville.
I thought the scholarship was for a full year.
And yeah, he may not graduate Since as far as I know, all of the graduate degrees are a minimum of two years.
Thompson's scholarship is presumably for at least a year but if he has no desire to graduate and his only reason for taking it is so he can play one last year, then the term beyond fall semester becomes irrelevant; however, if his plan is to graduate, at least the first year is free and if he can put together a decent graduate assistantship, also get a good portion of his second year paid for. It would be a shame to be halfway to a Master's from UVA and not see it through. Of course, I know nothing of Thompson's plans; I'm just speaking generally.
Thought he would head to the west coast...get a head start on being in the movies or WWE.
If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.
Best of luck To Dylan! My God though. He isn't someone I'd like to meet in a dark alley. Unless he's on my side of course.
Best of luck Dylan! Was excited years back, definitely potential there. Here’s to hoping C-ville he puts it together. Coach Mick has made his mark, dear lord he looks like he could eat two Bosas
I am a Michigan booster bud....just spent $182 bucks at Wal-Mart this morning.
I am still super bummed about his knee, his first step was really really quick. I wish I could have seen him play more in the S&G.
The lord of brevity.
