Maybe we could assume that the decision makers on this were the same ones who chose Leaders and Legends as the first division names for the BIG. There is no way this could be justified for student athletes health, education, or game playing quality. Thank you for righting a horrible decision.
The B1G should change their scheduling so no school ever has more than 2 consecutive road games or 3 consecutive home games.
Our honor defend, so we'll fight to the end !
Really, Delany? My two year old grandson could have told you the condensed schedule was stupid. Why is it that there is no common sense when making decisions like this.
And, to have him again refer to the west as "Legacy Territory" only proves how out of touch he is with the fans. You know, the ones who actually make it possible for him to have a huge salary. Get a clue Delany.......

In this, $$$ > common sense
Delany answers to the 14 B1G schools, who want $$ to fund their athletics and general fund. When the schools push back, I suspect he jumps.
I might have waited until after the tourney to decide this. If the Big 10 ends up with multiple Final 4 teams the brutal schedule may have played a part.
Oh thank God. Now we just need to survive this next month(s)!
Hey, here’s an idea: let’s take a back seat to the Big East so that Rutgers fans can feel they’re appreciated.

D.C. at least makes sense as a tournament site because Maryland is nearby. Maybe the same thing with Philly/Penn State, although there's so much indigenous Philadelphia basketball I can't imagine anyone there would care about the Big Ten tournament.
But MSG isn't in the Big Ten footprint, and holding our tournament there is silly. Personally, I'd like to see the tournament in Cleveland every so often, if it's not too "legacy" a location for Delany.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
I personally don't see why we would have the tournament at MSG. It really is not a convenient location for fans of most the league's schools. We'll see what kind of crowd the early games draw. Cleveland, D.C, Indianapolis, Chicago, Minneapolis or even Milwaukee all make better sense.
The only decision worse than this was adding Rutgers into the BIG 10. Wtf Jim? They’re not good at anything! At least Maryland is good at LaCross. Syracuse would’ve been a better option. They have football history and a good basketball program.

Being good at a sport doesn't matter to the B1G. They want research / academic-oriented schools in big TV markets. With bigger athletic earnings come better facilities and better coaches, which bring better athletes, and hopefully, fans who will pony up for the Big Ten Network.
Put this decision right there with Leaders and Legends and playing Big Ten football games on Friday nights. Money has a funny way of blinding supposedly bright people into making not so good decisions.
I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!
The worst decision ever made was putting Michigan and Ohio State in different divisions. Thank god that error was handled.
I thank Delany for the Big Ten Network, but other than that the dude just seems completely clueless.
He ain't even stretch doe!!
I would wait to see how it all plays out before saying never again.
On to the next, Big Jim.
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
Why not Detroit as a venue or Cleveland or Pittsburgh? These would be good footprint cities. Saw the Bucks in Pitt against Gonzaga a while back. Great city and good venue.
I still shake my head at Delany wanting MSG that much. It really isn’t that big of a deal to play there in my opinion
As much as Delaney has advanced the B1G financially he has really made some very poor athletic decisions. This was the stupidest of all. It was a horrible idea to start, and he just now admits to it? That's shameful on his part. Next week when the B1GT has the lowest attendance in its history, he will have egg on his face.
