If we are lucky enough to get one or both of these tackles, they could carry us to a national title. We're an offensive line driven team, right? GO BUCKS!
Could we fit in Petit-Frere, Walker and Thomas?
Always room for one more...
ttun 2019 offense...same pig, different lipstick.
Always room for one more...
I'm going to go with Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, the near-beading scene by axe wielding executioner.
Sounds like the news of Schiano interviewing elsewhere Is bad timing for Petit- frere and OSU.
Deserves got nothin' to do with it
Sounds like the announcement was intentional, to convince the kid to sign elsewhere. Rumors and gossips that pass it, suck ass.
I guess the good thing is that Schiano wouldnt have been his position coach anyway...but still.
I'm assuming the discussion of him leaving has been discussed at this point, remember that it was already a preconceived notion that he would have been gone by now. Obviously, if Tennesse hadn't embarrassed themselves publicly, he would already be gone.
An impeccable source has told me NO interview has been set up between Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano and the New England Patriots. FYI

I'm picking up what you're throwing down Barf.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
I'm throwing down Barf that you're picking up
LOLOL - Yeah I probably should have thought that through first.
Fingers crossed that we can land one of these two massive OT’s. Early playing time is there for the taking. I hope at least one of them realize the total package that Ohio State can offer them.
Fields of Dreams
The final countdown begins. Hopefully the visit this weekend is one for the ages!
Walker to PSU I get... but Nicholas Petit-Frere to Florida I don't understand. Probably a 2+ hour drive for his family so it's not like he's staying home and Florida is just bad. Average of 6 losses per year over the last 5 years and hard to imagine Dan Mullen turns things around. Not to mention Georgia has a stranglehold on the division..
Wish all these guys the best of luck no matter where the land.
Still curious to know how many of these guys we would/could take if they all called Urban and said I'm in..
I actually don’t think it’s hard to believe Mullen turns it around at all. He has a history there as the OC, he has a history winning at a decent clip with lesser talent in the harder side of the division, they have the most talent in state in the entire country. Georgia had one great season, I don’t think I’d be ready to give them the “stranglehold” just yet.
That being said, kids just feel comfortable in different places. Nothing is as black and white as we like to make it.
Hope he chooses us, but if not I wish him the best. Unless he goes to TTUN or Bama.
Sorry, I should have clarified. I meant turn it around like back to the glory days. Mullen was 23-15 the last three years and that's not anything to get excited about. He lost to some BAD teams the past 3 seasons. I get that Florida has a TON of talent but they finished 3rd in the state behind both FSU and Miami and barely snuck into the top 20. They don't have a QB next season either. Just feels like instead of losing 6 games a year they end up back around 8-4, 9-3.
And I disagree about Georgia. That division is awful and Georgia is loaded with top tier recruits lined up to play.. They are about to go on a Bama type run in that division.
Join me. Let's go for a stroll down Memory Lane in Starkville, MS.
Y2K has passed, leaving our infrastructure in ruin. It's 2001, Jackie Sherrill is in his 11th season. They go 3-8.
It's 2002. They go 3-9, and in 2003, they go 2-10. After the 2003 season Jackie Sherill leaves the program, having been the only coach since Darell Royal in 1955... to finish with a .500 or better record as a coach. He was 75-75-2.
He leaves. Sylvester Croom takes over. They go 3-8 in 2004, 3-8 in 2005, 3-9 in 2006, a Sterling 8-5 in 2007 with a bowl win against Future National Champion UCF, and then proceed to go 4-8 in 2008.
Dan Mullen takes over in 2009. They were 36 games under 500 in the preceding 8 seasons. In the subsequent 9 seasons, they finished 23 games over .500.
23-15 sounds bad from an Ohio State perspective. It is. Not within the scope of MSU's history, however.
Depending on the kid, Florida, FSU, and Miami are slam dunks for in-state talent, just like most Ohio kids are going tOSU if offered, many Florida kids are going to their favorite amongst those 3 schools, barring strange circumstance.
Let’s hope we land some big fish before it’s all over
C'mon big boys. I'd love to have both tackles give us a big BOOM next week!

I'm a date late on the question, but where do you think the Buckeyes stand in Devyn Ford's top 6? Who are they looking up at.
Check yesterday’s Hurry Up.

If only that was true. I believe that's what heaven must be like--non-stop Buckeye football.

While I currently give Florida the nod given its proximity to home
...and the fact that it's like frigid degrees in Columbus tonight.
luckily there is no college football played in Feb.
It is supposed to be 40 tomorrow, but that’s according to the weather people, and you know how reliable they are...
I don't think NPF cares about the weather all that much since he's heavily considering ND. 3 of his top 6 schools are ND, TTUN, and OSU.
Who's gonna be the first to commit on signing day? Any sudden "surprises" in store? I'm getting giddy like I'm 8 years old and Christmas is a week away..
NPF on campus...opportune time for a sweet baby Jesus gif to be posted.
Ask and ye shall receive...thanks!
Pretty sure Google Maps has never shown Nokesville while zooming out of DC as it just did when I searched for it.
Every corner of this nation for the Buckeyes!
New Day for OSU. Same noon for TTUN.
Walker looks like he respects Meyer the most. If Meyer can do his typical magic I think Walker is a lock.
Neither lineman will sign and I really don’t understand why they need another running back
IMO, I think the staff
A-knew they were only going to take 1 of either Oats or Thomas, and
B-Is recruiting Thomas as a big athlete-potential LB or DE, and
C-isn't counting on him being on the roster in August, but wanted to let him sign to cement the relationship between him and the school before he goes to prep school or JUCO for a year.........
Also, the staff isn't especially worried about signing a 3rd OL for this year, but Walker and Petit-Frere are both too good to say no to, so the staff is after them hard. They are planning on signing 5 or 6 OL next class and are clearly ramping up their early efforts to do so far more than at this time last year. The Buckeyes are already in great shape w/ their top OL targets next year-Nester-commit, Johnson-proabable favorite, Tarquin-same, Jacoby-clear leader, Correll-same, plus whomever else they are after and haven't even gotten on campus.
