Good thing I wasn't there for Penn State. Lord knows I would have been lost in the sauce
Drinking beer pays for 4 extra police officers... that's a win win...
Especially when those officers arrest drunk fans from the other team.
Your goals are constantly revised according to circumstance, but your purpose, your real reason for being , that supersedes everything.

And do fellow Buckeyes prefer lagers or pilsners?
Lager for me.

And do fellow Buckeyes prefer lagers or pilsners?
That's a trick question. Pilsners are lagers, they're just made with a trade-secret yeast. I took a tour of the Pilsner Urquell brewery in Pilsen, Czech Republic once. It was cool.
The big difference in beers is between ales and lagers.

CowCat has it.
What day is this?
IPA's and Stouts for this guy. But if my options are lagers or pilsners, I'll take whatever is cheaper since they taste about the same to me now.
You got it, Let's Party.
Taste tests show that beer drinkers cannot differentiate between beer brands after a drink, they cannot even identify their favorite beer!
That's why beer makers advertise so much. The product is not distinguishable, so you have to create a perceived difference by advertising.
Ua Mau ke Ea o ka 'Aina I ka Pono. The life of the land is preserved in righteousness. (Hawai'i state motto) Aloha nui kakou.
Pilsners are the tastiest, most refreshing lagers, and IPA's are the most flavorful, satisfying ales.
This from a bourbon head.
By the way GOBASKETBUCKS!!!!
IPAs, stouts, or porters.
I don't know why, but that amount seems low.
Wish the coffee was better tasting.

There's a lot of ways you can lower the number when you say "We MADE X amount of money."
For simple math's sake...If the stadium holds 100k and half of the people drink alcohol purchased at the game then only four dollars were made per person drinking per game. It could be down to 2 dollars for some of the non-primetime games. What is the actual cost for a beer? $3 to $5 maybe... tOSU is definitely leaving money on the table by not charging enough for alcohol. I'd expect to see an upward revision of alcohol prices in the near future.
I was at the Penn State game and if I remember correctly, the tall boy cans were being sold for $10.
$8 domestic, $10 craft
Any indication if there were higher amounts of alcohol-related incidents? So far other schools have seen no increases and even decreases (since people don't have to slam down drinks at tailgates knowing they can't get any in the stadium)
Like the beer sales, but I still prefer the good old days when there was no alcohol and you could stuff a whiskey flask down in your jeans or stuffed in your sweatshirt :)
Still do this, beer helps to chase the whisky - although I am at a point in my life where I buy whisky that doesn't need chasing. So maybe the beer hydrates me between the whisky pulls.
Bota filled with snowshoe (schnapps + brandy) in the game pouch of my winter coat back in the day.
Our people are everywhere, Esto Dignus.
Sales of $1,231,280, profit of $1,231,279
I did my best to up that number during the Illinios Game - we stayed until the end and sang Carmen Ohio - but about 2 minutes to go in the half and the Rain came and didn't stop, so that stadium was 10 percent full in the second half. Plus we were up 38-0 or something.
I needed the beer to chase the whisky we snuck in to keep us warm in a torrential down pour.
"...funding for the center for alcohol and substance abuse."
Definition of irony?
Now if only everyone in the crowd would get loud and stay loud things would be perfect.
I find it amusing that the game we lost (Oklahoma) and the game we almost lost (PSU) had the most in alcohol sales.
And I've been pleasantly surprised with the behavior of the fans in my corner of the She with their alcohol these two seasons, especially considering most of them are students. The only trouble and signs of trouble I saw this season were from away team fans. Good on you, Buckeyes!
"The only good thing about it is winning the d*** thing" - Urban Meyer on The Game The War
Divided by $9.00/beer average price and 7 games, that's about 19,544 beers per game. Sounds good, but with an average attendance somewhere around 107,000 I'm guessing there's a lot of flasks that sneak in.
Varys: I've always hated the bells. They ring for horror, a dead king, a city under siege.
Tyrion: A wedding.
Did my part at the OK game. Between the shitshow on the field and the shitheads yelling to sit down, I needed every last brew...
Surprised that only dudes who think it's cool to get drunk are the vast majority of those commenting. One said the profits would pay 4 more police officers. With that much liquid that gets flushed down the drain - and impairs what good judgment they might have when sober ... another 8 police officers are most likely needed. IT'S LOSE - LOSE!!
For those juveniles who believe they need boos to have a good time, what fools you are! Before you begin to balk at my words, do an internet search about deaths due to drunk drivers. Read about the four fraternity brothers who are going to jail because they killed a fellow student ... for what? They thought they were COOL! Be MEN, refuse to be stupid childish, selfish, heathen! You or a family member could become a statistic ... think about it when your sober.
I was drinking like Stone Cold during and after the Oklahoma game.
Should set up a dui check point right outside the parking lots to bring in some court cost revenue to the city
I state facts. You get mad
That seems low.
It's sure a s hell not MY fault that UNLV, Illinois and Maryland had the lowest sales numbers. I busted my ass for the cause during those games.
