Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
I told y'all in the Saturday Skully that this was going to happen. I wasn't lying.
There's no points for second place, gentlemen.
We really bothered them defensively. Amazing performance.

Final Four trip confirmed! See y’all in San Antonio
Solid and dominate W!!
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Just like we knew they would.

That 3 to end the half was amazing. I think that iced Sparty and took away any fire from Izzo's tech. Great win today.
Why does Dublin have so many round-abouts? Because everyone in Dublin thinks they have the right-of-way.
I've been advocating for Dakich to shoot more when he's open. That was a big shot....no question.

That was fun. Good win

That gif is outdated now. We need some new KBD and Tate ones.
I dont recall any of them doing 360 dunks.

To be fair, at least the basketball team kept it within 3 TDs.

That’s a Buckeye Basketball team I can get behind! Haven’t seen that on the court in a long time!
Keep Calm and Buckeye On
Time to rearrange those expectations. Impressive statement win in what has already been an affirming season.
"Hi, NCAA Tourney Committee? Hi, yeah... we'd like to announce our presence."
KDB reached a whole new level of consciousness tonight. And kudos to our fans for not storming the court like a bunch of chumps. They're fully aware we're back in our element.
KBD playing like an All american lately.
Well calling fans who storm the court chumps is kinda lame. However, I did take note of the fact that they didn't and thought that the fact they didn't says somethin. Or, security prevented it.
I bleed scarlet...literally
The fans stormed the court after the singing of Carmen Ohio. There’s videos on twitter
"Because we couldn't go for three." -Woody Hayes
If the win involved a last second three from Matt Sylvester the fans certainly would have rushed the floor...as they did on that day.
wake em up!! i believe!

Sorry Urban, we're a basketball school now.
"Medicine is not a science" - Leo Spaceman
Spaceman, not sure if you are old enough to remember but back when Randy Ayers was coach in the early 90's and the Jim Jackson era, and when the best John Cooper could do against Michigan was a tie, there were actually shirts going around that said "Ohio State used to be a football school." I am not sure that I want a return to those days.
Holtmann may be our Jim Tressel of basketball. Class guy that the players have bought in to!! Go Bucks!!!
Tom Ryan might have something to say about that ;)

Outstanding effort from start to finish.
KBD is in sync.
God damn this team is fun to watch
Would be nice if they had a game scheduled for this Monday evening. That would give us something to watch other than Friends reruns.

Wow. Did not see that coming.

I honestly didn't know much about Holtmann but this is impressive! Heck ya! A good basketball season makes it soooooo much easier to pass the time till football.
"Why didn't we run Zeke?"
Holtmann had all odds stacked against him with players leaving, commits decommiting, we thought the team starters would be comprised of walk-ons this year! What an amazing job he has done! Truly impressive and a ton of heart from these young BasketBucks!
I picked a good time to start watching basketball.
And I picked a bad time to stop sniffing glue.
Guys played great tonight, I love it.
Didn’t remember seeing Jallow out there today?
He got a couple of big rebounds and was good on D when he was in. I think he missed a layup but it was contested.
Do we start to crack the "Other's receiving votes" section of polls now? Outside shot at 25th-ish?
We just beat the #1 team, and all of our losses were to Top 30 teams in the last poll. We'll be ranked.
I think it’ll be hard to go from 0 votes to ranked. This win puts the Bucks on the national radar, but I’ll be a little surprised if they get into the top 25. None of the voters have been impressed enough with the losses to give any votes thus far.
We probably won’t shoot up from 40ish to 25, but a few more wins and we’re definitely gonna start getting votes.
Disagree. The team looked great, beat the #1 team in the country, won by 18, are undefeated in conference, about 10 top 25 teams lost this week, and have zero bad losses.
Forget it, Cricejr, it's BrutusB.
All true but we also only have one win worth bragging about and after the last few days a bunch of other teams also picked up marquee wins.
I don’t actually care if we get ranked this week or not. Just beat Maryland or itll be moot anyway.
4-0 in B1G.
I think you’re forgetting the Michigan win. And while we blew double digit leads against them, we had really good stretches against Butler, who just beat Villanova, and 14-1 Clemson. We didn’t look great against UNC, but they shot the lights out- something they hadn’t really done much of this year to that point. We might not have an amazing resume, but I think you’re selling us a little short.
We didn’t look great against UNC, but they shot the lights out
So did Gonzaga, for that matter.
In old Ohio there's a team that's known throughout the land...
Ohio State was 38th in RPI pre-game. Now they're 34.
Beat Maryland—show everyone this wasn't a fluke. You need consistency to be ranked.
Our honor defend, so we'll fight to the end !
I think the only reason we are not in the top 25/is because we didn’t have a signature win. Not that it matters but it would certainly acknowledge the hard work these guys have put in so far this year. Defense wins championships and creates term work and chemistry. I think it would be great for the players to get rewarded for their hard work so to speak. It would be a milestone for a program on the rise. I definitely like what I see so far from this staff.
That was absolutely amazing and so much fun to watch. I am now ready to join the "OSU is overachieving" crowd now. That wasn't a lucky win or a "we got some breaks game, that was an ass whooping! Keep it rolling Buckeyes!!
For those of us who have been watching for the past two months, this definitely wasn’t a lucky win. While I didn’t think they would win by this much, I at least thought they had a chance.
I certainly thought they had a chance, we beat them last year here, and road games in the B1G are always tough. I certainly did not expect a BTFO kind of performance we saw this afternoon.
If they play D like this and keep the turnovers down (just 6 today), and shoot decently, they will do well.
Correct. At home, ready to roll. Nice to see others care about BBall...
Just got home from baseball practice. Nice surprise. Go Buckeyes!
Well done, men!!!
How about we just run the table in the Big Ten?! If KBD plays close to that we have a good chance playing anyone in the country
Hammering *ichigan...yes, THIS !
Storming the court would've been awesome. Were the police holding the students back?
Great win. KBD was by far the best player on the court today.
"You're the patron saint of the totally effed" - Hot Tub Time Machine
I'm wondering that too...i know for a fact I wpild have wanted to and the fans looked jacked up. But maybe fans actually thought we're supposed to win a game like this, which would be a sign that fans believe in this team.

Ling, DVR the rest of season...you may have something here !
I may have to do that - however it's not very often you get a chance to host the number one team in the nation.
The energy and fight from the squad today was so awesome to watch. The last minute of the 1st half were fireworks. It seemed to give the squad real belief they belonged in this game.
The start of the 2nd half was the best the team has played all season. It won the game.
Shouts to KBD and his performance. He’s on a tear. The team starting to really put things together. Go Bucks
Boom!! What a victory. The Schott was electric today.
First time I’ve enjoyed watching Buckeye Basketball in about 4 years. Actually have guys that consistently make shots, and everyone on the team plays with heart on defense
Herculean effort. What a difference a year makes!
So, according to cfp standards. Msu doesnt deserve the right to play for a national championship this year since they got blown out by an unranked team.
Good thing CFB doesn't use CFP standards.
Finally I can enjoy watching Buckeye basketball again. What a difference a year makes
a little revenge for the 2015 football game... GO BUCKS!!!! PUT US IN THOSE RANKINGS NOW
Barf You are the #1 reason I read 11 warriors

KBD big ten player of the year. And we better be ranked next week.
You know y'all read that in Gus's voice.
"It's always scotch-thirty on my island."
All those who dismissed this season as a transition year without any hope of post-season play will probably not recall their negativity as they giddily jump on bandwagon.
The physical talent was already there. But now it’s paired with heart and higher Hoops IQ.
Yep, a lot of causal fans had no idea what a HUGE loss KBD was last year. It's great to see him having a legendary season after all he's been through.
And a lot of DEFENCE! These kids PLAY!

12-0 and a chance to go 13-0
In another universe ttun still sucks...
It is simply amazing what our new coach and staff have done in such a short time with what they inherited, amazing. Super kudos to the players for believing and buying in. Great to watch Buckeye BB again!
It is simply amazing what our new coach and staff has done in such a short time with . . .
KBD healthy and playing extremely well, and team buy-in, listening to coaches.
KBD had an outstanding game today, so did Tate, he only had 4 points at halftime but ended with 13 and some critical buckets. CJ played his heart out, 14 its, 3 assists, no turnovers, and broke some dude's ankles so hard. Ended the game with cramps, that's the kind of effort you love to see. We survived some terrible calls in the first half, 4 fouls on Potter (2 of which were awful calls) and 3 on K Wesson. Still hammered them. This feels good.
Only 6 TOs as a team. What’s the last time that happneed?
This is an early return, but an important win for the BasketBucks.
The movement and cuts to the basket are timely with smart positioning, the distribution is pleasing to the eye, and a ball-hawking defense is looking fierce. Looks also like the upper body conditioning is there and is paying off.
Strength and Honor, Shooty Hoops Bucks. Stay healthy. Hone your skills. Pursue excellence.

We may have us: D'Angelo 2 in KBD !
D'Angelo 2? no, better than that.
this will be a fun year.
Dan Dakich was right, maybe.
"D'Angelo 2? no, better than that."
So you're saying he's better than a 1st round 1, or 2 pick...o.kkk...I can hope for this.
*let's just enjoy his *32-outrageousness,* & here's to this Major B1G slam dunk on #1 sparty regardless where Diop's brand ends up.
While I am absolutely not saying he is better than D Russ yet, being a better college player does not mean you have to be drafted higher.
The team played lights-out on defense and were very disciplined moving the ball to the basket. KBD with 32 points. Wow.
We're on our way back. Go Bucks!
"We get paid to score touchdowns, not kick field goals"

There’s the fire that was missing the past few years! Bringing some excitement back to the court!
The boys played a complete game, something we have sorely missed. Nicely done! Heres to keeping the train moving against Maryland.
So refreshing to watch guys busting their butts and trying so hard. Love it. Thank you coach Holt!!
Remember when some of our fans were mad at Gene for “costing us” Archie Miller?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Let's check in on IU basketball:
The same can be said for Arizona.
AB SO LUTELY!! People were saying he should be fired! Those same people will not give him credit for this hire either.
I do....I hope YOU do too.
KBD’s gonna fool around and end up getting drafted.
He was always going to get drafted but there is a big difference from the 2nd round to the 1st.
Great team win and yes KBD is Da Man; but this Wesson kid has got some game too; love his passing and that baby hook shot. Way to go Bucks!
The only hard day was yesterday
Mighty impressive win.
Success - it's what you do with what you've got. - Woody Hayes
For all those doubters...are you okay with the Holtmann hire now?
I have a sports know-it-all friend who pissed and moaned 17 reasons why Holtmann was a shit hire. I said to him at the time it might not be a home-run hire, but it's a solid stand-up double.
Man, was I frickin' wrong. Touch 'em all, Chris Holtmann.
Man, was I frickin' wrong. Touch 'em all, Chris Holtmann.
you win with this...I love it!!
He beat #1 Villanova, while at Butler. Hardly a shit hire.
I had people tell me the same. Granted, I've been a casual fan of college basketball the last few years. But, at the time, I didn't get how someone could look at what Holtmann did at Butler and think it was a terrible hire. The dude can flat out coach.
Great effort all around!
Priority #1: Beat Michigan
Dakich with the dad horse shot...from deep in the driveway, one hand push shot, off the board and in.
Terrific win...but also good, solid, fundamental and exciting basketball. Will be tough nites on the road in the BIG but this team is going places!
Justice delayed is justice denied....#FTP
Upset? BLOW OUT. Way to go, Bucks & Coach Holtmann.
Wow! What a terrific effort and a great win for Coach Holtmann, his staff, and the Buckeyes. Hopefully this team can stay focused and keep plowing earth. Go Bucks!
Very impressed by the way Chris gives credit to Thad at every opportunity. Class.
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
Fantastic to see them keep their foot on the gas for the whole second half. They really played some nice methodical and fundamentally sound offense during the last 10 minutes to keep Michigan State out of striking distance. I have to admit I was fully bracing for a collapse and a close finish, but these Buckeyes are clearly a different animal than the past 3-4 years.
What a win!! Looking at the upcoming schedule, there’s no reason this team can’t get to 12-0 in the B1G before heading to Purdue. I’m sure there will be a slip up, but they’re playing extremely well. Holtmann is making an instant difference and this definitely has the look of a tourney team!! Go Bucks!
We gotta make FTs, we gotta move our feet, we have got to move the ball!

Can't confirm but thanks
I can! Just got back home. That 3 was epic! It's been 10+ years since I've heard that much excitement in the Schott!!!!!!
Voice is gone!!
Didn't think we could win this game. Congrats to the team and Chris Holtmann.
Let the record show in my comments before this season started that I felt this team would do better than people thought, that we would make the tourney. I expect we'll lose some tough games bit definitely beating #1 mich st makes me feel this season, without crazy expectations, will be a good one
Very impressive win. Now on to Maryland and keep up the high level effort through the rest of the season.

Wow. I admit I barely follow basketball, but this team has come a long way.
just W O W !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Holtmann officially gets his black stripe off
KBD had the game we all knew he could. But I saw a Mr. Wesson looking the part of a Big Ten BIG MAN.
Chris Holtmann is on pace to never lose a Big Ten game
I think it's safe to say that Holtmann and his staff have achieved full buy-in status from the players.
Behold the chunky whoop ass.
It's Beat Sparty Weekend: between OSU men's hoops and hockey . . .
OSU 3 MSU 0
Great prep by the coaching staff and great execution by the team. KBD finally healthy and showing his talent. Let's hope he stays that way. A team that wasn't getting any credit just opened a bunch of eyes.
That was probably the first full game I've watched in two seasons, and it was worth the wait! That was a fun team to watch! They played smart, played tough D, and shot pretty darned well for the most part. And, KBD... wow!

Great win for the buckeyes today. SUCK IT SPARTY!!!
We don't give a damn about the whole state of *ichigan.
Wow.! Never saw that coming. I was hoping for the Bucks to just show some fight. But a win like this is more than I could have imagined. Keta was outstanding. Looks like a Big10 POY possibility. And kudos to the crowd for some good energy. It will never be St. John but even the announcers ( Bill Raftrey is my favorite ever ) commented on the crowd noise.
KBD could be POY no doubt... awesome
WOW.. 2-0 to start out what I thought was an extremely tough 6 game stretch.
KBD - dare I say he can get whatever shot he wants when he wants it.. reminds me of Evan Turner, not as good with the handles but unstoppable one on one. And That is not who I thought he was ever going to be...
The Last 6 minutes: I dont think I have ever seen any team in the shot clock era.. be able to run clock and still get a good shot while doing it .. for that long... That is the most impressive thing I have seen on a basketball court in a while... Tip of the hat to coach.. and also KBD for being a high percentage option on many of those possessions.
Tate - made both his free throws at least twice.. I really like how he seems to be a more settled player bringing the ball up the court, than he is playing without the ball at times. Very plesant surprise.
Unreal.. This is the best Ohio State win for me, since the football win over Bama(The oregon win was kind of a known to me).
Its good timing for us that the big 10 is down, this is a legit NCAA team. But home court wins even over number 1, dont always resonate in the committee's eyes like some might think... I remember a 20 win FSU team that beat a very good #1 duke team at home, that got left out... So I take nothing for granted.
I was very encouraged by the way we were able to run the shot clock down and hit daggers with :05 or less. I did start to get worried around the 7 minute mark when it looked like we were starting to slow it down a bit early. I'm a believer in "you play the way you got the lead" which usually means aggressive on offense, until the last minute. Maybe the 2 minute mark if you are up 20, but 7 minutes worried me. Thankfully we have KBD on our side and he was more then clutch today - and has been all season. I also credit Holtmann for noticing that we needed to turn it back up a bit and never did let MSU get any closer than 14 points in the second half.
I was right there with you at that 7 minute mark.. I felt like it was a mistake to slow it down... I was watching with my football buddies... so I was dreading the pain of blowing that big lead...
There was a moment there when they were running an old partial weave or wheel delay...it was beautiful and then they scored to make it amazing!
Kaleb Wesson's passing ability just floors me. It's beautiful.
Once a Buckeye, Always a Buckeye
And that hook shot. He has great skills for a freshman, once he fine tunes his game, which is also coming along nicely, he is going to be an absolute monster down low. He clearly had some "big game jitters" early but settled down nicely, and I think he will just keep getting better.
BINGO BINGO BINGO
This would have totally happened with Thad /s

Good weekend for Buckeye Sports
I wasn't fully confident that they could pull a win today (Sparty has been playing pretty well) and if they did, it was going to be nail biter of a game. Congratulations on a total game, standing toe to toe blow for blow and getting the KO.
I have liked the hiring of Coach Holtmann since the beginning but didn't think we would see dividend paying out this early. The player buyin is off the charts. I expected an increase in hustle and effort, but players changing their way of play resulting in decreases in turnovers, unselfish play is beyond anything I expected. Wesson is a gem in the post (although still needing some polish on finishing around the rim) KBD is growing into his potential, something I am sad to say may not have happened under Coach Matta, Tate is Tate everyday, Jackson is growing into a true point guard, something I don't think he thought he could become, Kam is regaining confidence I think he had lost. I think Potter is still suffering from his ankle injury (more mentally than physically at this point, and Dakich has provided much more than I thought he could contribute even though it was going to be necessary for him to provide minutes. The one that I am waiting for to gain some offensive confidence is Jallow, he has the tools, Holtmann knew this and that is why he convinced him to reclassify to play this year. When that time comes, And I think it will sometime in February, this team will hit another level. There are going to be a hiccup or two before the season is over, but Holtmann has a legitimate contender and if they get an invite to tourney, anything can happen. This is a team that is growing at a fast pace, and the team with those early losses v the team that we saw today shows that growth and their ceiling is much higher than anyone of us thought.
"Nothing that comes easy is worth a dime" - Woody Hayes
They're starting to peak during the right time of the season. Hats off to the coach for what he's done thus far. An incredible accomplishment, nonetheless.
upset? More like a 'boat trucking' to me...
15-1 is SWEET!
That was fun to watch. I was busy and watched it on dvr. Really enjoyed the overall play and yes crowd.
Watching OSU basketball this season is why I was so determined to point out that in an era of millionaire coaches fans deserve a good product on the court. Why pay the millions when a team is so painful to watch? Everything has changed this season from the mess I saw in recent years on the court.
