if course this will all be forgotten if JT fails against psu. He's easily the most disrespected - all time record holder - in sports history. That said Man Oh Man does Dwayne get that ball out quick!! I'm pullin for JT to be for real here on out ( I'm guessing all his detractors are too )
Hope the injured guys heal up... Jones looked like a stinger and thought Holmes got his bell rung by a teammate in the pile. Probably a bell rung for Campbell also.. HEAL UP!
On d.. Plenty to work on. Still having troubles in zone releasing players, thought there was some bad tackling and we can't seem to get home when we blitz. Worley still struggling in pass coverage...
Only thing I saw on offense was struggling to run between the tackles.. otherwise getting better each week. Loved seeing Berry in backfield...
Well They were stacking the box, Offense looked awesome, d-line same, pass defense, hmmm not sold on them yet. Seemed like a lot of open NE receivers tonight. Maybe I am wrong.. we will see in 2 weeks where they stand.
MVP: Joe Thomas Barrett IV
Best game he's played since Sparty in '14. Also, I noticed last week that he was bulleting a lot of his passes, and this week, he added a very nice touch to his passes. Outstanding performance.
Has he ever gone 80% on 30+ passes? And they weren't just 5 yard crossing routes, either. He sprayed it all over the damn field. He was a surgeon tonight and also picked up a few critical first downs with his legs - just enough to keep teams like MSU and PSU guessing.
I’ve been waiting 2 years for an offensive performance that good. Thank you Kevin Wilson
Thank goodness for the bye week because dudes need to get healthy, and Kendall Sheffield’s time is up, he has just been plain awful, needs to get benched for Okudah
Read some stuff the other day on BSD. Their fans are fucking delusional and need to be brought to humiliation. I don't just want a win, I want a 3 TD savage fucking curbstomping.
Great win, continue the trajectory. Hated seeing those guys go down, but the starters haven’t played a full game since week 2 & have a bye before getting PSU, Thise reps were needed.
I was thinking that before the game, well before we knew it was going to be this bad. They haven't played even 3 full quarters, I think, since OU. Definitely needed an extended day of work to be prepared to go 4 quarters in 2 weeks.
Maybe JT's best all around game since 2014 MSU, although the competition tonight obviously wasn't quite as tough. I'm really impressed with how well he's been playing and how much the WRs have improved. They're catching anything and everything thrown their way and running crisp routes - not to mention the excellent perimeter blocking. The OL also deserves kudos tonight, especially Knox. They gave JT all freaking day to find his targets. Definitely a few issues in pass defense and the blatant lack of DL pressure was maddening, but all in all, this was a great effort. Hope our guys can get healthy ad put together a brilliant gameplan to give PSU the savage beatdown they so desperately yearn for.
One gripe on JT, he needs to avoid those WR screens when they aren’t there. He has hung a few players out to dry the last few weeks. Just throw it away.
A little worried Jones has a collarbone issue. The trainers were working the front and back of his shoulder/neck.
80% of Lee’s yards came on two plays to Spielman and then in garbage time. Still, McSorley is gonna pick us apart if we cannot get pressure early.
The lack of DL pressure and the several blown plays in the secondary were the only causes for even minor consternation tonight. Everyone else was aces.
Rewatch the play. TOTAL bust by McLaurin. He didn't block anyone ( he should have been blocking inside rusher so play could form behind him) and started to run a route and then froze. He clearly ran the wrong play and left Campbell on an island all alone.
I know. With him I’m not sure if it’s about us winning or him being right. Wonder if he’s hoping for us to lose to PSU so he can do the “I told you so” about good defenses.
Most of his points still hold some weight until JT actually carves up a defense with a pulse. Its easy to get carried away after beating bottom feeders for weeks in a row. Preying on the weak builds a false sense of confidence.
I really want to believe the old JT is back. Getting much closer than I thought, but need to see him have a good passing game against PSU.
Two players were injured on that last drive because Nebraska couldn't just run the clock out. They had to pile up more empty stats. Refs also dragged it out with all those ridiculous penalties. It ruined the good vibe I had going all night long.
W!O!W!
I knew we didn't punt tonight, every single time we had the ball was a touchdown up until the last drive with the backups. And last year was bad, and we don't play them all the time, but that is still amazing.
While the defense looks very good and has made steady improvement, the most recent performance of the offense is even more impressive and encouraging. Credit to Coach Wilson, and all the offensive coaching staff, as well as to the players, for planning and executing a more dynamic offensive attack.
Now take it to Penn State in two weeks! Go Bucks.

sort of.... you can argue the defense sort of gave up... but that's still a concern on some level and it was really all Spielman... Nebraska had one dude and we flat out couldn't cover him... We also attempted a little zone after going away from it against Oklahoma and had some of the same problems covering guys from one zone to the next....
Someone earlier pointed out that a lot of those passing yards were after bucks had 42 points. Plus they injured their best receiver to get him 200 yards late into the 4th. That was a desperate coaching move imo
Honestly, I know I'm a crazy homer, but aside from maybe Bama and UGa, who else has looked as good in the last 3-4 weeks, regardless of the quality of opponent??
I suspect UNL will remain a 2nd tier team as long as it's in the B1G. They don't have enough home-grown talent, and recruiting Texas (as they used to) has become really difficult since they no longer have games there. Without talent, a school cannot vie for championships, even divisional ones. Looks like 9-3 would be a great year for them now, but Husker fans won't settle for that.
So unless the B1G adds Texas schools, or the go back to Big 12, they are hurting.

Great win Bucks!!
J.T. looking more and more comfortable running this offense. Loving what I’m seeing out of Rashod Berry and Jordan Fuller.
Time to rest up and heal up.

If anyone is still on the Dwayne Train after the last few weeks they just don’t need to be taken seriously.
I will never forget this pass and is always testimony to me that JT is good.

Tom Brady lost to John Cooper. Never forget.
Forget 14. He’s never looked this good before.

I was at the MSU game in ‘14 and that was the best game I have ever seen ANY QB play. JT was incredible. I’m not sure he’ll ever top that.
Agree. This was Tom Bradyesque when Tom is having a really good day.
Everyone happy Beck is gone ) Thank goodness, Barret looked like his old self tonight. Good play calling, good coaching. Hope they keep it up.
And the receivers were catching them. Passing game is looking promising
Best catch I vote Victor on the slant. Just snatched it with the hands, the way it's supposed to be done.
Yeah, seconded. That was a really nice catch

Has to lead the country in PI calls.
Okudah had a nice breakup toward the end. One would think he would have gotten more meaningful snaps today.
Welp....

A win will do. But the icing I still nice. Hell, I wanted to put 70 on Riley tonight for leaving his starters in too long.
Ageeed. He should be fired for letting Speilman get hurt while down by 239 points.
Great win, continue the trajectory. Hated seeing those guys go down, but the starters haven’t played a full game since week 2 & have a bye before getting PSU, Thise reps were needed.

Even if competition wasn’t elite, we still executed. Sometimes we don’t do that. We put them to bed early. Sometimes we don’t do that either.
Yep hot sauce?
i seem to recall miserable 12 point wins over n illi and Hawaii This is looking good.
Very true. All good points.

Great win. That JT guy looks pretty good.
Love how the tight ends are helping the offense.

Dude, we have TWO tight ends! Is that even legal? I'm a Buckeye fan so I am not familiar with this "tight end" you speak of.

So I didn't watch the game but should I be concerned that we gave up 300 yards passing?

Meh. They couldn't pass the ball for shit in the first half. Most of it came in the 2nd.
Tom Brady lost to John Cooper. Never forget.
Yes and no. A few really bad plays, but it was really all they were capable of doing, so they did it constantly.

Ohio State is very good right now. Nebraska is not very good. Onto PSU. Go Buckeyes!
The team looked very good tonight, obviously. Still a little worried about the pass defense giving up 300 yards, including 200 to one dude.
Someone earlier pointed out that a lot of those passing yards were after bucks had 42 points. Plus they injured their best receiver to get him 200 yards late into the 4th. That was a desperate coaching move imo
Observations:
Ohio State's pass defense is only as good as it's pass rush.
The right side of the O-line with Prince and Knox looked solid while the left side of Jones and Jordan seemed shaky at times.
Penalties and special teams still need work.
The offense is ready for Penn State. The defense and special teams have two weeks to get there.
Too much time spent at the North Heidelberg rather than the classroom. SSD 68-72
Man I will miss JT Barrett when he's gone.
