"Wouldn't you like to be an Oscar too?" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Have a feeling some wild nights began with OOP.

To topic, this is a great series...all about honoring the first NCs in OSU history. This season also marks the 60th anniversary of the '57 champs.

Good reads, Remy (hope to be home at a Dubgate near you...soon).

I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low...

This is going to be a fun series to read. Miss the Columbus Citizen Journal. You can't change the past but what might had been if not for the war?

You can make mine OOP - they don't make them like that anymore.

"Great hope is being placed on the shoulders of Chunky Paul Sarringhaus who will handle, besides (a) great part of the running chores, the passing and punting duties also."

Welp....his defense was lacking, so Chunky should ride the pine....

Lou the Toe played for the Purple Riders, our dreaded arch rival.....

My wife's dad played with Lou for Martns Ferry. I met him at a pregame tailgate. His hand engulfed mine. My father in law said all the Groza boys were tough but the toughest was Mama G.

I sort of feel like this article got sidetracked with a whisky ad, then stopped before it was finished. You build up the Ft. Knox game, then nothing.

Theire is only one truth...

Urbanologist,
This is a series following what the Citizen Journal put out each day. What you see above is all the information that was in the CJ about the Ohio State Ft. Knox game. The next couple of days will bring more previews from the CJ until the game recap on Tuesday and Wednesday. It might feel as if it stopped before it was finished, but I won't add material that wasn't printed in the paper.

I want this series to give the reader the feeling of being back in 1942 and reading about the game for the first time. I put the ads in to give people another glimpse into that world.
