"Year for what?"
It's remarkable how much happiness 4 secs on repeat can bring one in life...Welcome young Mr. Miller...GO BUCKS!
Still my favorite Buckeye gif (non-player division) ever....

That's a Buckeye touchdown!

If/When we win big this year, would another team(maybe Arizona or ASU) offer Day a HC job with a eye on drawing Miller?
Both of those schools just hired new coaches this offseason.
This is always a concern of the big powerhouse schools. If what you suggest happens, I hardly see Ohio State just sitting on the sidelines and letting it happen. I am sure there would be some strong negotiation between Ohio State and Ryan Day and/or Jack Miller to get them to stay.
As a side note, it really pisses me off that the NCAA does NOT have a regulation on the books that prevents smaller piss ant schools from being able to come to poach our assistant coaches WHILE WE ARE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF A PLAYOFF RUN. For all the silly assed rules that they do have, they don't protect the success that a school achieves in season until it is over.
It is a real simple common sense answer - no coaches can be hired by another school until after the NC game. BOOM.
You don't get the benefit of getting an early start on upgrading your staff, because you sucked this past year. Like Ozzie Guillen said "Play better".

Thanks WS. I’ll have to check it out.
The characters are called “Barry and Levon”

Some of those passes went about 70 yards. Wow.
Doesn't look like it worked, so take this instead:

2020 is definitely starting off with a BANG
Disagree. It's way bigger than a bang, not sure BOOM covers this last week!
It's been a great week and another AMAZING commit.
Better ?? LOL

Or ice cream.
Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Miller is considered the third-best pro-style quarterback and No. 47 prospect overall in the Class of 2020.
OK, I'm either out of the loop entirely or just ignorant, but does this tidbit imply that UFM's classic RPO offense is being changed? Or is this kid Miller going to be the round peg made to fit a square hole?
Someone please enlighten me.
I am not very smart, but I recognize that I'm not very smart. --- W.W. Hayes
before haskins and now miller - UFM has never had elite pro style qbs, WHO CAN THROW THE FOOTBALL, to run a more pro style offense - he has now with haskins and miller. i'd look for the offense to change....for the better! our great running backs will now be the ones RUNNING THE BALL 25+ times a game - NOT jt barrett.
Correct. With 2+ great RB and a great passer, all is balanced and we're tough to contain.
Having a QB who can stretch the field vertically is huge for the run game. The 2014 championship was proof.
You need to be humble or you will get humbled. - Jocko Willink
Check out his tape above. On the first play, the ball is in the air for 55 yards and drops into the receiver's pocket. The second is a designed QB run for a 95 yd TD, so he's got some wheels. Looks to me that he can run whatever offense Urban wishes.
Welcome to 2018 haha
I'm thinking it is in meetings that we don't get notes from where Kevin Wilson and Ryan Day get to tell him, hey, Paul Brown is right .
Who's next?feeling a little greedy..lol,wow,it just keeps getting better and better..what a time to be a Buckeye!!
2) Is saying “It’s Miller time!” To cheezy for this site?
This is huge!!!! I keep having to remind myself that his film is from his Soph Year!! Yikes!!! This is will bare a different type of fruit for the recruiting class. If my memory serves me correct this will be the earliest we've had a QB committment in the Urban era or sometime. This will be sure to attract other top end skill and oline recruits, may even effect some defensive recruits with such great talent coming together Columbs. Should be fun to watch the impact this and Mathis committment has on the 2019,2020,2021 classes. #GoBucks

Danny Clark committed early too. Hopefully this works out a little better.
You had barbecue back there? And you didn't invite me? HURT! MY! FEELINGS!
Welcome, Jack Miller!
Miller looks like a great fit for our offense. Great arm, very accurate, runs well, and he can whip it downfield while scrambling. Dis gon be good.
"We get paid to score touchdowns, not kick field goals"
-- Urban Meyer
His accuracy is actually a big issue...completes barely 50% of his passes. Strong arm for sure but needs to learn to reign it in on short throws. Saw him play against local high school in SoCal and was surprised he was rated as high as he was. Putting trust in coaching staff that they see a lot more than I do.
I did not know that. Thanks for the info.
Highlight videos can be deceptive, as they're well ... highlights. I did notice that he throws some hail-mary-type of passes, hoping the receiver makes the play on the ball (vs. a tight rope throw in stride).
Damn, that QB room is gonna be set for years to come if all these 'croots hold true to their pledges.
Gotta keep pushing for high-end receivers to match.
Let the aerial fireworks begin! BOOOOMMMM!!!! Go Bucks!!!
BOOM it's Miller Time.
"The most important statistic, is the number of wins in a season".........Woody Hayes
A very good week.
Congratulations to Jack Miller, go Buckeyes.
The last qb I remember from AZ worked out pretty good. His team deserved at least a share of the national championship, in my less than humble opinion.
Do like the 20's so far. Welcome to another Buckeye!
Work together on the rest of your class.
Boom! He looks like a young George Clooney lol.

And the 'commit' train keeps a rollin', all night long...
Welcome aboard Jack, glad to have you...
15-1 is SWEET!
This is my first time watching his tape. I can see why the staff likes him. Great ability to extend the play while keeping his eyes downfield, goes through progressions in the pocket, can throw well on the move, mobile enough certainly. The only thing that scares me a little is some decision making but he’s a sophomore in high school on that tape, and I’d rather have a guy making debatable throws with confidence than being afraid to force one in (within reason).
Welcome to the family! Miller Time 2.0!
Lots of pluses on that tape, lots of great plays, but I also noticed as you did (and you often see this even with great HS q-backs): he's getting away with things that will not work in the B1G because he's facing HS pass defenses that aren't so great, but if he listens to the coaching staff, the good plays will remain and the don't-do-that-here plays will fall away.
Welcome Jack! An amazing week for the Bucks. Urbz will have to stick around if only to see how this 2020 class pans out.
oh thank god, with no commitments in the last 24 hours I was starting to get worried
Sooo we're like 3-4 years before we see him play, if he sticks..
Pigskins & Porkrinds
So I had to read Ryan Day's wikipedia page since I am only a little familiar with his background from here. He was plucked from the NFL and Chip Kelly. It goes a little deeper than that. He played QB at New Hampshire when Kelly was there.
And thus began his lifelong disdain for the atrocious winged helmet.
Born a Badger, Raised a Buckeye
Waiting for the panic to set in about the 2021 QB class lol...
HUGE GET. Love Miller's game and the maturity for his age should turn into fantastic leadership. Welcome aboard JM3!

"We gotta go win this next game and make the State of Ohio proud!"-UFM
Meanwhile, the reaction from Ann Arbor was predictable:
Not trying to be Debbie Downer or Negative Nancy here but it looks like Day was the key factor in his recruitment. Now we need to get him to stay at TOSU for it least a Couple more seasons to avoid a flip.
I think we're good with Miller though...wish him good health next year.
Congrats to the entire staff.
Knowledge is Power
Very special quarterback talent. We will see how he gets developed.
Enjoying daily the back to back ttun beatdowns.
He doesn’t even have Lagow’s prototypical size though!

Welcome aboard Mr. Miller! Glad to see the QB drama is over early for the 2020 class.
I can see it now, Miller hikes the ball to Miller...fakes the hand off to Sampson with a play action pass to Wilson...Wilson breaks free across the middle thanks to a fierce block by Washington!
I saw a UFO once.......it told me to have a goodyear!
Easy name to spell and say.
Welcome Mr. Jack Miller.
Good God what I wouldn't pay to go back in time and be a 6'4" Freshman QB at the Ohio State.
His next 3-4 years are gonna be the best times of his life.
Miller reminds me of Tim Tebow only with a better arm and pocket presence.
Urban is having a few cocktails this weekend.
ba -da bing,ba da BOOM !
It's a darned good thing they put an arrow on him, or I wouldn't have known which one he was!

I must be watching different film than most... He has potential, but I’m not buying the hype. He’s indecisive, and throws up jump balls. Extends plays and misses his windows where receivers are wide open. Anyone remember the kid from Massillon that got the OSU tattoo just to get pushed out of the class and end up at UK? I have to keep in mind that it was sophomore film, but I think it’s worth keeping an eye on before we get too excited. Just my humble opinion.
Wolf - you are referring to Danny Clark from Akron Hoban (via Massillon). He was a left handed pro style QB. From the time he committed to Ohio State until he decommitted, the focus of Ohio State's QBB recruiting shifted from a pro style QB to spread option QBs. With the addition of QB coach Ryan Day, the focus has swung back to pro style QBs. Danny just got caught up in the wash. I didn't know Danny personally, but my buddy's son does. Good kid - I wish him well at UK.
