It is the warrior with the battle tested armor that is prepared for the conflict ahead.
His expression being helped off the field against BGSU last year said it all...you had to pull for this kid.
And here we are.
Go get 'em, captain.
"When he’s all said and done with football, he’s got a story to tell. How he’s overcome some really tough adversity in his life, and look where he’s at right now."
Always great to see a young man that doesn't crumble when faced with outside or inside factors of adversity. I'm proud of the man Tracy has become and I'm stoked to see him play his ass off this year and lead this team as a player and mentor.
Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
Truly amazing how we get a chance to peak behind the curtain and see what the rest of the world has to wait to be seen.
I applaud 11W and their fine work on this video and article
See you in Indy !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Seattle Sounders 2019 MLS Champions
Mucho awesomeness right there. Make Momma proud!
12-0 and a chance to go 13-0
In another universe ttun still sucks...
You could feel the excited building with her responses.
He's grown. He's sexy.
Take your +1 HS, you grown and sexy beast.
"Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity..." -John Muir
Really happy to see him back on the field. He seems hungry and humbled
Let's go get it Mr. Sprinkle!
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Get after it, Sprinkle. This is your time. Hope you stay healthy, have a great season and get your name called in the first couple days of the NFL draft.
When you lose, say little. When you win, say less.
I love the fact that Sprinkle has grown and learned from some very hard life events, some his bad choices and some bad luck. Way to persevere, young man.
I'm sure other coaches/staffs do these things, but this is truly awesome. I remember the one from last year with Alford and Weber calling his family to let him know he was starting. Urban's built a great program, and it's running on all cylinders.
You're too stupid to have a good time. -Dalton
As a mom, I am bawling after watching that video. Congratulations to Tracy and his family. Well done!
As a dad, I have to admit I got a little misty, too.
Great stuff. Go Tracy! Go Buckeyes!!
Congrats, best wishes for fun, productive, healthy season!!!
Beat everyone, in every sport, all the time!!!
Congratulations Tracy Sprinkle
I saw Ryan Day hang 62 on Michigan...His hair was perfect.
Go Buckeyes Beat Michigan
From the Grown & Sexy Lounge to a grown man. Congratulations to Tracy Sprinkle. His story is a testament to selflessness, hard work, and putting the needs of others ahead of his own. Go Bucks!
Good example of never giving up, no matter the past. An inspiration for those players struggling.
Hoping for all positive things for MR. Sprinkle this season.
I sometimes think our athletic director should privately assemble some of the best local medical minds to give our athletes every advantage towards healing and recovery.
He looked great stepping in for Washington against Notre dame 2 seasons ago, he's gonna be tough to handle this year
^ best post ever ^
I may or may not have gotten a little misty eyed over that video of Coach J & Tracy calling his parents. That was just awesome.
Ass time in the seat of life is a wonderful thing. I have been on the Spinkle bus for three years and can't wait to watch him make it rain. Proud day indeed.
You never lose to those pricks. Ever. Ever. Urban Frank Meyer
Boy, I got vision and the rest of the world wears bifocals! - Butch Cassidy
I had to log in to offer congratulations and best wishes for much continued success to Tracy Sprinkle.
Video clip of the phone call was what compelled me to do it.
These are the kind of stories that make life worth living.
In old Ohio there's a team that's known throughout the land...
Couldn't have said it any better myself.
Happy for Tracy, and even more happy for mom and the family.
Is it wrong that I got a tear in my eye?
A story of Grace, Redemption and Hard Work paying off.
Go get ’em Tracy! Go Bucks!
"Be a first rate version of yourself, not a second rate version of someone else." - Judy Garland
Mad respect for the big fella.
This is why I am a Buckeye fan for life. It goes way beyond football. Rain, Tracy, Rain!!!!!
Tracey Sprinkle is the kind of man to ask about the 'leadership adversity' growing out of the Elephant[s] in the Room of 2015 and 2016. But why not now?
Because what player on a team, would broach that topic 'in public', risking team and coaching cohesion, during the season? Even, during their career on that team? But... what do you do 'in-house'?
Some insight - though desperately and essentially needed to resolve a serious problem - poses great risks to the whole program. Anyone remember Robert Smith and an Offensive coordinator?
So, most pay for their silence... dearly. You individually try to guard against the hordes of Diversity, who do what they do by definition, motivated by that most sincere feeling of how right they feel.
A useful example and comparison, to a rear guard, a Roland, sent to guard the pass through which the hordes come. The Unknown Soldiers. Don't 'say humble' - remember most heroes are buried and only their buddies know which graves cover their great and noble struggle.
Honesty & Integrity - no indoctrination, a lifetime in education and maturity.
Refreshing to see a young man maturing & becoming a leader. These are the examples that we all need to look to, and share, in a world that reminds us daily far more of the bad, than the good in people.
Go Tracy! Go make your mark brother!
Thank the Maker that I was born in Ohio, cradle of coaches, US Presidents, confederate-stomping Generals, and home of The Ohio State University Football Buckeyes- 2014 UNDISPUTED National Champions!
When you add it all up, it's pretty simple... #howshegoneeat?
I just HAD to go and click the link to watch the video. Sitting here eating lunch, and the old tear ducts started flowing. Way to go, Tracy. I remember him getting hurt last year and feeling heartbroken. Best of luck to having the year for which you always hoped.
Mobile double post.
People love redemption stories. Hope that this story only gets better with a strong and productive season from Mr. Sprinkle.
Haters gonna hate and Bert is gonna Bert.
