Hey, save one for me, Chris! It only takes me 15 hours to get there.
The only he could be more popular is if he was doing it at 10pm
The offseason is the longest season.
Or 2 a.m.
Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
Wonder if they still do the monthly breakfast at the church on Indianola. May or may not have brought an entire case of Bud Light to help wash down the bacon, eggs and pancakes.
Two issues with your statement
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Jesus supposedly turned water into wine, and made a couple fish and bread loaves into enough to feed hundreds. He was all about the dinner party
Have you ever seen a fierce animal who you were sure wouldn't bite? Because I haven't.
Great response my man
But a bet the wine he made was a lot better than Bud Light
Maybe the hope was he could convert it to real beer with flavor?
You Got Barbecue Back There!?!?!?!
I'm certain it was a rather fine wine...
Saban on a cart eating cold pizza
LOL,He was about the dinner party!!!
All are welcome !!
Changing water into Bud Light wouldn't be much of a miracle
My aim, then, is to whip the Weasels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom. - William Tecumseh Sherman (with apologies)
Yeah Linga, it was a bit of a "ehhhh" moment but it mixed OK with the OJ.
Actually, as I reflect back it was Budweiser. Always had a cold case or three in my full sized fridge in my bedroom. It was the step up from Natty cause I was "cool". Don't get me wrong, I had already started enjoying ales and other beer types by that time but lager by volume is how it's done on all campuses.
When 98% of the crowd packed in there was pretty inebriated, the "rules" were altered quite a bit. The staff was just happy if you weren't swearing too loudly.
Everybody likes free things. Great idea by Holtmann.
I really want the basketball team to be good again. I think the basketball arena should be torn down and build one that is built for college basketball, student section on the side behind the benches and announcers, and all the snobby donors who dont want to cheer should be put in the nosebleed section. However take elements of the NBA arenas and have music play on the arena sound system.
Successful people do what they have to, whether they feel like it or not
Building a new arena is going to be difficult w/o those "snobby donors "!!!
Beat everyone, in every sport, all the time!!!
Someone seems touchy, maybe you too are a snobby donor
No, but I am a realist. Wish I were able to be a donor though, snobby or otherwise.
Oh, and by the way, speaking of touchy.
Maybe one with students circling the entire lower bowl area, in loud bleacher seats? With the mezzanine and balcony levels all wood and metal that reverberate the noise? Sound perfect.
Oh wait, we have one of those, just down the street at St John Arena. Too bad we left :(
Do we have to tear the entire thing down? Can we just recondition the inside?
If you die before you die, then you won't die when you die.
The students are on the side behind the benches.
Love this guy - and he hasn't even coached a game here yet.

Not supplying from buckeye donuts?! Come on, coach.
I hate the offseason.
I know right - LOL
Speaking of Buckeye Donuts... I live by the one on South High, and I want everyone to know about this amazing donut they have there, that if you have a chance to try, you absolutely should...
It's actually called a "Buckeye donut"... It's a yeast raised ring donut dipped in chocolate and then the middle is filled with a whipped peanut butter cream fluff... They are amazing. (They're pretty rich, so I recommend having a cold milk with it)
They go fast, but you can always ask them to make one for you if they are out. Also, the one on campus does NOT have them. You can only get them at the South High location.
Here's another view if that wasn't enough
I need these right now!
Not supplying from buckeye donuts?! Come on, coach.
Agreed. Faux pas there. Could have used Resch's or others as well rather than the corporate-style donut. I think Horton's is a sponsor of OSU Athletics though.
Another faux pas is not including bacon. Lots of bacon. Or bacon donuts.
In old Ohio there's a team that's known throughout the land...
Isnt Hortons owned by Wendy's? Thus the Columbus/OSU connection
Not anymore... Wendy's "spun off" Tim Hortons about five years ago.
Ever heard "Coffee with the Coach" that Keels does on the radio network? Yeah, Tim's is a sponsor........
I read blitz
Totally agree, Tim Hortons is definitely still a sponsor...
But Wendy's no longer owns Tim Hortons.
Garnering interest from the students. I like it.
Stood in that line 4 years ago with my daughter. Could have used a donut! And a bottle of water ....
Next time, Buckeye Donuts, Coach.
That's cool - getting out there, meeting the people, handing out donuts.
Honey Buns might have been a better choice, but I wouldn't turn away a donut.
Happy move in day for the new students.
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
I remember my move in day into Park Hall. I was giddy with the freedom and being surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of gorgeous 18-19 year old girls.

I went to a small school in rural PA, about 7500.
Fresh out of the Navy. Hung at home for a couple of weeks before the start of the semester. It wasn't by choice to live on campus as freshman being a few years older, but have to admit it was pretty f'n cool to roll up in my truck all on my own...got some stares.
My dorm was co-ed (that was by choice). I was unloaded and in within a couple hours, chose the cool side of the room. My roommate and his parents show up about a half hour later to move in. Quick introductions, and I think they were more shocked than surprised my parents (chuckle) weren't there. Chatted with mom for a few minutes - I think she wanted assurance I'd keep an eye on her kid (he flunked out by Xmas) - then split to buy some books then off for a few brews at one of the bars.
Thank you for your service.
I love the Chris Holtmann hire. I look forward to watching the team grow under his watch.
A lot of room to grow but he's the man for the job.
Paying it forward and earning his stripes everyday
Mmmm, Homer like

If they are krispy kremes then yes please. The greatest donut ever.
Just had one open up within walking distance of my community.
Which is evil and sadistic.
So you mean to tell me you can eat a fresh hot Krispy Kreme whenever you want? I can only get them in a box at Kroger, still amazing though. I would be 400 lbs if I had that near me.
Haven't yet been there though - the best time to go is early morning of course (believe this one opens up at 5 a.m.). Might have to make the journey sometime this season.
Best time to go is when the red neon light is on. Buy hot glazed at that time. Nothing is the same as a hot KK glazed donut.
Used to have one down the road when I lived in Kansas City. Stopped in one day when they were pulling sour cream cake donuts off the line and got the obligatory free sample. I always thought the glazed were good warm, but I could have founded a cult based on these things! I asked them to call me ANY time they were coming off the line :)
I have never experienced anything except the hot glazed, but I WILL remember this welcome bit of advice and seize my chance if it ever becomes available.
Nice - this is the truth.
oh lawdy, send a box to me
To me, a donut is a donut. They're all good.
All are good,
Some achieve greatness,
Few become champions.

He should have gone to Resch's bakery on Livingston Ave. Nice to see him out and about. Also hopeful for some good news on the recruiting front.
Should've done Holtman's.
Bingo that looks delicious
Wow talk about flashbacks. Moving into steeb is still very fresh in my head 16 years later. My highschool was huge so I wasn't intimidated by the crowds but good Lord the girls on my floor....

Nosker House for me. The original one before being rebuilt.
Great PR move by Coach!! Let's hope this put some new butts in seats come season!
For those suggesting other donut places, yes pretty much any other place would have better donuts, but unfortunately Coach Holtmann can't pick where he gets them from. Tim Hortons has been a sponsor of OSU basketball for years so it was their promotion, hence their (shitty) donuts. Maybe shitty is too harsh a term, because donuts, but that would literally be my last option on earth to get a donut. Still this is fun to see, and I'm glad he's out there meeting students and garnering interest in the team.
Had to log in to toss a few upvotes.
It was the Stadium Dorm for me. Trying to ignore just how long ago that was!
Stadium dormer here, too.
Lincoln tower for me, but old enough that there were still people living in the Stadium Dorm.
Fried dough with sugar. Slow off season.
