“It’s fun to play for Coach Wilson,” Lagow said. “He puts you in a position to succeed. He likes to score a lot of points and he’s a great offensive mind. You’re going to be on your toes at all times with him because he’s always going to be thinking of new things, giving you this idea or that idea. He’s a great coach.”
Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.

I'll give an upvote for Step Bros no matter what the context
Same here - it's a great flick with hilarious actors
The off season bites !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.

As soon as I read that, I thought, "there goes any hope of expectation management (for the masses). Average 50 or bust..."

JT has all the qualities to be a great future coach someday.
Fields of Dreams
I am looking forward to seeing the offense this year. Scoring points quickly and often is what I am hoping they will do. The defense will have to be ready to take the field with little rest however.
Lead, follow, or get out of my way!
And to piggy back off that comment..2nd and 3rd string get to come in and showcase their skills.

Scoring points quickly and often is what I am hoping they will do.
Scoring quickly can be devastating to the opposing defense, but a lack of big plays often takes the wind of such an offense's sails, causing a loss of confidence, execution, etc.
Championship teams know how to sustain long, time-consuming drives even without big plays. It's a mark of character that they keep chugging forward even when the big plays don't happen.
I'm hoping the Buckeyes can do both this season.
Our honor defend, so we'll fight to the end !
If I could marry a gif, it would be this one.
I'm married to it. My mistress is this gif.
I have always appreciated Lagow and his skills - he speaks from experience.
Gonna be a fun year.
We're gonna score.
I'm excited to see this years team. Looking at the comments about Wilson over the last few months I'm reminded what Tress said Coach Bruce taught him that nothing's as good as is seems and nothings as bad. At my age you come realize the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. Just fixing right tackle wins us the PSU game last year and having quality depth in the line makes us competitive against Clemson. It appears from what we read here those two things are going to improve greatly which puts us in the middle of the NC discussion. We needed a change desperately in OC and Urban gave us that but Wilson isn't going to be the riverboat gambler he was at Indiana like going for it on your 40 yard line on fourth and two in a tight game. He only averaged three points more a game more while was at Indiana than the previous coach in the same amount of time and that was most likely because of tempo. He did an excellent job at Oklahoma but we all now the defenses are poor on average. On the up side he knows what he wants and is hell bent on getting it. I don't think we will run up and down the field scoring at will against the better teams but even if the truth lies in the middle, we will be much better.
We have the minds (Wilson and JT)
now do we have the QB to carry it out?
What are you implying?
Oh, hey Jack...
Tears lol more tears more lol
It doesn't matter whether you're the lion or a gazelle-when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.
Anybody remember when Wilson was a guest on 97.1 The Fan's Common Man and Torg show several years ago? I know those guys have their fans on here...personally, I think they're absolute morons, especially Ricordati. Anyway, those two clowns offended Wilson to the point that he scolded them and then abruptly and angrily hung up the phone. Does anyone recall the details of that incident?
When I die, sprinkle my ashes over the 70's
Don't recall the incident but I agree with you on the moron thing.
Sooner or later it all gets real.
I remember that. Riccordati doesn't do a sports show, he does a riccordati show. It's not easy to be funny and he proves that point. Once Torg got canned I moved on
All news and indicators are that Buckeye Nation will be very happy throughout this season with the offense's performance. Barrett is a high quality young man and he will do everything to execute Wilson's offense perfectly.
This thing (offense) is ready to go off this season - eager to see Wilson and company do damage.
Hindsight is, and in, 2020
You know what it was like when they only won a game 38-0. Imagine if they don't put up Jerry Lewis Telethon numbers this year...
Heaven help us.
It's not so much the points, as I'm sure we'll be dazzled early on (including Oklahoma), it's an effective offense start to finish - first through fourth quarters, late August to mid January.
I know it is probably the understatement of the century - but I'm guessing everybody on this site is salivating to see what impact Wilson and Day will have on the Buckeye's offense. The amount of carnage Wilson was able to inflict at Indiana, with the majority of his athletes hovering at the 2/3 level, was quite impressive. We can only imagine what he will be able to do with the elite athletic studs he now has at his command - the possibilities are frightening if you're a DC in this league!
Unleash hell Kevin... unleash hell
The best thing about Pastafarianism? It is not only acceptable, but advisable, to be heavily sauced
" He failed to win the starting job coming out of fall camp in 2015 and last season was filled with inconsistencies from both Barrett himself and the Ohio State offense as a whole."
I think those problems were systemic in nature. With the year J.T. had in 2014 to capping it off in that embarrassing blowout to Clemson, he was never the same QB under Beck/Warriner. I know the injury had something to do with it to a degree but it just seemed like his fundamentals and timing wasn't there in 15 and 16.
Saban on a cart eating cold pizza
JT deserves this season--he's clearly going to benefit so much from Wilson. Peaks and valleys career--I think this season will be K2, then Everest.
Kevin Wilson = 21st century Woody Hayes. He is a tough guy.
