Unfortunately the latest chatter about Chatfield is about flipping. I know there has been a lot of talk about Oweh as a possible replacement. Parsons, Oweh and Smith pretty please. Toiga would be the cherry on top. We seem to do well recruiting DE's and as they get bigger sliding them inside at the 3 tech. Would have been nice to flip Nester from the hurricanes as he is a true 1 tech. I'm hoping maybe we can close this class with several commits from Ohio as well.

Personally I think the staff prefers Oweh over Chatfield, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're the ones breaking off communication. That's just a gut feeling.

all the bucknut guys are saying Chatfield is doing this by himself and the staff isn't pushing him out

Florida offered and Miami will likely add one as well.

Is he telling the staff that he's just looking around to make sure he made the right decision, or is he saying he's definitely out?

Did the staff give the green light to Pope because of this?

Go Bucks!

It is admirable that during the recruiting peak, when all around him tell him how good he is; this young man keeps his pride in check and seeks to improve.

Seems like some of the other DE recruits are getting more attention now, but feel good about Brenton Cox - kid is on board, focused, and ready to do his thing.

Hindsight is, and in, 2020

Doesn't want to look like a project, wants to look like he knows what he's doing. Love this attention to detail, technique, technique, technique... look out! Five star commit achieved without proper hand usage. I'd love to see Urban developing his second Carlos Dunlap. #LJ

Cox is great and smart enough to want to improve himself. Wow.
These young men are under a constant microscope. I understand MR. Chatfield wanting to adjust his stance and seek reassurance. Entirely natural. They have more interest and attention than ever before. Some want to milk that cow. Others just want to reaffirm they're doing the best thing.

""There are some coaches who want you to just go. No matter how you get it, just go," Cox said. "But Coach Johnson knows what it takes to get to the NFL. I’ve seen previous players he had like Joey Bosa so he knows and I’m definitely listening to the technique part."

Smart move as LJ is one of the best coaches in CFB.

'Cox with the stop'

Get used to hearing that for a few years.

Larry Johnson is worth his weight in gold ... er ... um ... silver. It's great to hear how the DL recruits are drawn to him and his teaching techniques.

Come on up, Brenton! You won't regret it.

I’m definitely listening to the technique part.

That's a good strategy, Brenton.

Keep calm.  It's only a game.
