St Brown would be a fair trade-off for Jaylon Smith.
“Coach Meyer texts me every day. He texted me this morning,” Ruckert said. “He doesn't just text me, either. He texts my family and my girlfriend and sends letters to my girlfriend's mom."
Now THAT is covering all of your bases on the recruiting trail. Holy moly.
Yeah I agree - that's pretty cool to extend the olive branch that far out.
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.

How does Urban have time to text all these kids so often, let alone their families? I can't imagine trying to relate to 16-17 year olds via text either.
Text takes less than a minute type out unless he's texting them novels.
Yes, but he's texting a bunch of kids literally every day. These guys are working 24/7
"You can never pay back, but you can always pay forward."
The Mission and Drive will never die until NSD.
Yes, but does he also text Ruckert's girlfriend's mom's cousin? C'mon Urban, go the extra mile!
Somewhere down that food chain - I should be getting a text eventually
If I was the girlfriends parents, I'd tell the coaches to take a hike. They are a teenage breakup away from no longer being in contact.

I'd love it if it were me. Getting texts from UFM? Yes please!
It would create undue pressure for them to stay together, putting unnecessary pressure on my teenage daughter. "Hey, if I'm dating this guy, Urban calls my parents, and my dad is happier. I better not mess this up" Maybe I'm overthinking it, but as a father of daughters, I prefer to be over protective.
What are the chances that UFM has multiple #s and there is staff in place that does all the texting? We all know that the social media activity is done be the staff, why not the texts?
St. Brown......even more yes please!!
Successful people do what they have to, whether they feel like it or not
I feel me some Babb right now.
We all knew that Urban is a relentless recruiter, but damn!
"“Coach Meyer texts me every day. He texted me this morning,” Ruckert said. “He doesn't just text me, either. He texts my family and my girlfriend and sends letters to my girlfriend's mom. He really goes the extra mile to make sure my parents and my family after comfortable being with him the next four years, which is the most important thing.”"

Wiltfong reporting that Blue Smith is moving his decision back. How does that play at Ohio State?
I spoke with Blue briefly today, but his plan is to announce during Wayne's game on ESPN. To answer your question, not at all.
Thank you Andrew. Hate those 'click-bait' titles. Made it sound like something was pushing back his decision.
"...not at all" as in no big deal with OSU or as in OSU is not happy with the delay?
The former, I apologize. It doesn't impact his standing with or thoughts on Ohio State,
Thanks for the clarification Andrew.
Question here, do you think Babb is a better or comparable prospect than Grimes was coming out of HS?
One mystery to me is why kamikaze pilots wore helmets.
Different receivers, in my opinion. Babb is the over the middle threat while Grimes is the deep threat.
Hopefully we get good news from Ruckert in the next month or so... I think he's as good a tight end prospect as there's been in awhile.
"I kind of pulled back, and I think I pulled something." Orlando Pace
He's gonna take his time to make sure his commitment sticks. I like hearing this and right now I believe he's 100% CB'd to the Buckeyes
Well, the future of the pass game is now.
Hindsight is, and in, 2020
Indeed. I cannot wait to see the Offense under Wilson. Defenses will not be able to stack the box anymore. I expect Weber to have a great season.
Fields of Dreams
This year I believe the WR corps will take some time to find their own way however within the next few years it might very well become a dominant strength
According to BTN and other sources I've read over the months, Wilson's real genius is in the run game so I think Weber will have a big season.
Using all of the weapons will help - you have to give the defense many different looks so they are always second guessing.
I get the sense that on 3rd and inches - we may be passing the ball to set something later in the game.
Equanimeous, Osiris, and Amon-Ra, we need this kid just so we can get the story behind the names on College Game Day....that and he seems pretty good at football too.
Ruckertt, Blue and Babb in the fold before August would be super
Stay golden, Ponyboy.
Actually Action that would be a criminal haul-
Montana Silver Bullet
A dab o' Babb would cure many ailments.
"We get paid to score touchdowns, not kick field goals"
-- Urban Meyer
dab'o ???? Can't believe that made the edit. 31...
My take with Ruckert is that he is going to make the decision that is best for him based on what's comfortable, and meets his goals, and he's going to stick to his commitment like glue... So let's look at his four choices...
1. Notre Dame- Why would he make a "like glue" commitment to a school with a head coach that isn't likely to even be coaching there when he's on campus? I think you can eliminate the Irish.
2. Wisconsin- While their coaching situation is typically more static than most, if Wisconsin has a good year, any number of the coaches on their staff could be up for a better position elsewhere, or if Wisconsin under achieves (likely) they could show their HC the door. Again, not likely, but it's possible.
3. Michigan- Harbaugh has the keys to the city as long as he wants it, but we all know there is a 24/7 allure of the NFL for him, so that situation isn't as stable as he would find in Columbus.
4. Ohio State- Urban Meyer is the HC, he'll be the HC every single day for the rest of his life as long as he wants to. He's shown no inclination of wanting to go to the NFL, so this situation, for a kid who wants to stick to one decision, to me, seems to be the most stable.
Seems like a no-brainer to me.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
If Muhammed, the TE from Texas is going to commit to Meatchicken, I want him to do it now before Ruckert is ready to commit.
It's crazy how much more talent is out there that appear to be OSU leans. Carman, Babb, Blue Smith, T. Smith, Parsons, Ruckert, Cook, Pope, plus some long shots like St. Brown. It's a good thing we don't have a major numbers crunch like last year, but it still appears numbers may get tight if all of these players commit to OSU as expected.
