Seriously Penn State trustee?

This is outrageous. Anything less than his resignation is unacceptable. The outrage (or lack thereof) by the community calling for him to step down will say a lot about Penn State and its constituents.

On a side note, that's a huge board with 38 members. Also, interesting that he (not sure about the rest of the board) was voted in by alumni, while at Ohio State the trustees are appointed by the governor. (Not tying that into the case, just noting how different boards are put together).

I have no idea what PSU's process is for removing a Trustee, but I'm assuming (and hoping) that it is already underway.

Lord did not apologize for his comments upon follow-up by The Chronicle.

I don't trust him to speak on what ails us with their lack to do so internally for decades.

Yeah, classy how he brings up "political correctness" when the subject is child endangerment and systemic corruption. It's evident he doesn't even understand why people are mad or why what he and the rest of the university did was reprehensible, he thinks it's some kind of political witchhunt. Essentially he's a sociopath, or the next best thing.

Political Correctness has been the catch-all for when you don't agree with something.  I'm not gonna dive deeping into that rabbit hole because of certain policies on tis website, but it only makes sense that people feel that if it's not OK to say the most terrible, repugnant things, that is not deems being too politically correct.  It's sad, really.

The Jury foreman said in the above article that he believes finding Spanier guilty was wrong.  He can live with the verdict, but in his opinion, Spanier did not know the seriousness of what had happened with Sandusky because McCreary and others did not tell him in full.

It sounds like the jury felt Spanier should have assumed the worst and therefore was guilty.

The trustee is an idiot.

Here in Michigan, trustee's for public colleges are elected by the public at large. Yes, I get to vote in Trustees for the Univ. of Mich. It's interesting every election to read the bios and philosophies of the slate of candidates, some are, well, interesting. I personally prefer that to being appointed by a governor which often is simply a favor to someone. . And electing trustees through just the votes of alumni? , Well, that' s Penn State. Now you see why it is the way it is.

Not directed at you personally, BUN, I know you're relaying from the story. But that foreman is an idiot, as well, IMO. Full story? A male PSU representative his late 60's was showering alone next to someone else's10-12 year old kid in what one can safely assume is a rather expansive shower room. It's not like Sandusky was showering 30 feet away on the opposite side from the child. Even then, I'd have disciplined him for being stupid enough to do that alone. Spanier didn't need to know another damn thing. If that's all McQueery told him, that is enough to respond and shut that type of activity down.

This topic still makes my blood boil.

I am heartened by yet another constant reminder that everything and everyone associated with central Pennsylvania, Penn State University & Joseph Paterno is evil to the core lest those among us who harbor their own slivers of evil once again begin their seditious whispers ..."It wasn't about football", "I have friends who are fans of PSU", "JoePa did all he could". . .

The only true solution remains as it ever was...cleanse them all with nuclear fire.

Careful with the Central PA wise cracks, I live in Central PA & I assure you that what Sandusky, Paterno & the Penn St Admin did in this case is beyond reprehensible. It is the very embodiment of evil! This kind of thing is even worse than the efforts of some PSU supporters to put JoePa's statue back up.  These people keep wondering why everyone else won't "just let it go".  How can we when this kind of stuff keeps popping up?

It serves to confirm the belief many have had that there was/is a systematic problem there.  I wish we could get them out of the conference - at least.  I find it distasteful to have anything to do with Penn State -

This is what a dem witted dumb fuck. The NCAA crumbled and caved in to PissU on this . They should have recived the Death Penalty over this. Hell They really should have been BANNED from all SPORTS for life. I Wish the BIG10 would just throw PissU the hell out of the Conference because they are a major Embarrassment to The BIG10. Let them go to the ACC like they want to do so Badly. They belive they can walk into the ACC and Dominant that Conference . Just like the thought they could to when they came into the Big10. They figured since they run over everone in the (Big LEAST ) they could do the same in The Big 10. I for one hope and pray the EARTH opens up and Swallows Happy Valley Whole...

I was originally against the death penalty for them but have since changed my stance due to fucks like this guy and the other JoePa minions. They truly believe they are the victims. I've said it before and I'll said it again. I large portion of the Penn State community is just not all the way there. I'd love to see the statistics on what percentage of their fans still defend Joepa. Ramzy wrote a good article about how the whole scandal won't die and why we all need to stop talking about it and move on. And he's right. But what makes it so hard is that Penn State itself refuses to let the situation die.

Too many fans begging for the Joepa statue back. Student section goes wild when jumbotron shows a clip of Joepa's shoes. Too many Joepa defenders. They are so easy to hate.

The part that is most mind blowing for me is that they no longer need Joepa. He was their whole program before all of this happened. But this past year they beat us. They are relevant again!!! Yet they still cling to Joepa will all their might. Happy Valley is crazy town.

As others mentioned Lord is up for re-election in May. He already has the PS4RS cult  endorsement so he a lock for another 2 year term. Lord and Anthony Lubrano both believe Jerry Sandusky is innocent of all charges. They've attended every Sandusky hearing since he was convicted in 2012. These are sick individuals serving on a major university board of trustees and they keep getting re-elected with no challenges.

What have I done with my life? Well for starters I never enabled nor harbored a pedophile. Nor will my name won’t be synonymous with something so heinous as pedophilia or lying to cover it up to protect ones image.

As for a statue, Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Hussein, and those nut jobs in North Korea all have statues. So did Caligula and Tiberius. The aforementioned would be proud of your cult in Hapless Valley and the devotion to your rotten but not forgotten poster boys. Briles and Baylor are sure giving you guys a run for your money in the lowlife department though.

With that said, how about a hearty “F*** you” to all of the losers who defend that scumbag Paterno, his family, and Scumdusky.
I’m sure Nambla gave Joe a lifetime achiever award for his inactions.
