Awesome news. I picked him up late in a fantasy league.

Uh...can I join your league?

Same here, I picked up Pryor with last pick.  My hope is that he proves to be an undervalued and "cheap" pick.  I'd rather take a chance on the ex-Buckeye (that is a physical freak) in the draft than pay up on the waiver wire in a couple weeks!

I picked up Pryor and Michael Thomas late in one league. Got Zeke with a top pick too.

There a lot of players out there that probably wish they could be on an 0-16 NFL roster. Congratulations to Pryor for working his a** off and making the transition to WR.

Only 1 question remains: Will he throw?

Fellow Eagles fan here too, how about that trade!

In other news, GO PRYOR! and fwiw to other Eagles fans, GO WENTZ!

Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.

No disrespect to Pryor and I'm happy he caught on, but this can be viewed as a statement on how pathetic Browns are. Former QB, cut by two teams last year, now a starter with the Browns. Hope TP proves me wrong and has big year. Until it happens, however, Browns suck.

The Browns are no longer the worst franchise in all of professional sport.

HS
dcbuck-i's picture

I don't think that's fair at all. He threw everything into trying to become an NFL QB, and when that didn't pan out for him he decided that the next best thing would be a transition to WR. Only after being cut from the Bengals as a QB did he pursue being a WR, which the Browns were the first team to swoop him up. If the Browns cut him from their roster you better believe another team would pick him up as a WR.

He sat on the bench most of last year, and learned the position. I don't think it's a statement on how pathetic the Browns are, rather a testament to how hard TP worked to get something new. The guys sitting behind him on the depth chart are 4th and 5th round picks - our own Michael Thomas was a 3rd round pick and will be lining up as the 3rd WR for NO - just as TP will be once Josh Gordon is back.

Absolutely agree with you.  Pryor worked really hard at becoming a WR.... to the OP  would you say the same thing about Braxton?

YOu cant teach 6'6 with his speed and hands.    He will succeed as an NFL reciever

You WIN with people.

Braxton's is a completely different situation. He began his WR tutelage while still in college. Not at the age of 27. I wish TP all kinds of success but there's a reason he is starting for the worst team in the league.

The Browns are no longer the worst franchise in all of professional sport.

As a lifelong Browns and Ohio State fan, I really do not know what emotion to feel right now.  Happy for Terrelle, but also sad for Terrelle.

Could be worse, at least he is not playing quarterback, as we all know Cleveland is not so good at that.  .

As a Cleveland native and tOSU alumnus, I am thrilled for this opportunity for Terrelle.  Regardless of the overall "success" of the Browns this year, getting tabbed as a starter (and probably #1 receiver until Josh Gordon returns) is a huge boon to his career and earning potential.  Even if the Browns don't get many W's, I'm hoping that one day Terrelle can make lots of $'s.

GO BUCKS!

We went to the last preseason game and he
was listed as the starting
WR, along with Josh Gorden, so maybe not. Gorden played. For some reason Pryor was only targeted a couple of times that I saw.

HS
12egulator's picture

Given that Terrelle IS going to be the week 1 starter, and Gordon isn't eligible to play until week 4, I think the Browns were holding him out for precautionary reasons whereas Gordon needs as many reps as he can get before going into stasis.

The Browns have a very good WR core. Don't let the preseason results fool you - if they can just get the D-line, O-line, linebacker, and defensive back position solidified then they can probably win 3 or 4 games.

Very happy for Pryor to make the starting lineup. I picked him up in my fantasy league, hoping for the best.

@Barf - Your comment cracked me up. Yup, a little tweak her & there, and we (Browns & Browns' fans) can get to 3 or 4 wins.

Should be QBing in the NFL with some of the stiffs they have at QB.

I never understood why the "Sr." is on NFL players jerseys. I get he has a son with the same name, but the "Sr" refers to Terrell and not Pyror. Since the NFL has rules for/against last names being the same on the same team and how many letters are required if first names start the same, etc, etc,  I would think they would have adopted a more consistent application of the "Sr" label.

HS
ELJTSA76's picture

What does it say "Pryor Sr" on his jersey?

Unless his son also plays for the Browns, that is the dumbest think I've seen since "Ochocinco."

OSU's turned the page with the Urban era. He's turned the page by becoming a WR for the Browns. No hard feeling any more. Hope he does well.
