This is absolutely brand new to me. Thanks, Nellie.
Ditto. Completely brand new information for me. Well done, Nellie.
Agreed - Whoa pulled this one out of the archives.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
One of your best Whoa. I had never heard of this band, so today's write-up was particularly informative for me. Love the fact that you didnt go for the low-hanging fruit today! (not that you ever take the easy route)
Where's Ben Affleck?

Thanks guys. I love the obscure, great stories, as you can tell. Bonzo would have been easy, true. Just did Zep on Friday, though, and frankly there are some things about him I just can't celebrate, you know?
Anyway, what did everyone think of the band?
“Don’t fear criticism. The stands are full of critics. They play no ball. They fight no fights. They make no mistakes because they attempt nothing. Down on the field are the doers, they make mistakes because they attempt many things.”
Sounds kinda like a British version of Molly Hatchet or Black Oak Arkansas, IMO.
I knew two things about Keith Relf prior to reading - he was in the Yardbirds, and died tragically (electrocuted while playing guitar iirc).
Now I know three, well done.
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
Martin Pugh is a pretty great guitarist, too. He played in the band on Rod Stewart's first solo album, along with Ronnie Wood, Keith Emerson, Ian McLagen and others. Nice backing!
A little late today but well done WN. Like some others have mentioned and to the surprise of no one I had never heard of them before. Definitely a very interesting story. I am thinking I will have to queue this one up on google music and give it a listen.
Never heard of Armegeddon or this guy, or that he was electrocuted. Great job, Whoa!
Pebbles snatched by everyone.
Cool song from the way-back machine
