It was probably John Bosa
Dubcast with John Bosa, start listening at 48 minute mark.
Not trying to be a jerk here, but that title is not so great. Maybe "Looking for audio clip" would suffice? Again, not trying to bash you here, I was just kind of worried when I clicked the title haha.
lol I actually thought that too... but I did it really quickly as I was just really frustrated I couldn't remember!
Appreciate the tactfulness in your response, +1.
"Year for what?"
What if you don't hear YOLO anymore because everyone who use to say it died?
Great movie, not exactly sure what you're saying though. Certainly not trying open up another conversation like yesterday - think we've all moved on for the better.
If that was not your intent then I apologize. You have been quite vocal in your disdain for certain groups of posters that it came off as your opportunity to take one last shot across the bow on a topic that had been discussed ad nauseam yesterday and rehashed today.
That was definitely not my intent - I appreciate the apology.
I'd like to think that I've had absolutely zero disdain for posters. I've tried to encourage better site practices that, as Ramzy says, "Preserve, improve and not sacrifice culture for growth. We'll die trying."
You have been quite vocal in your disdain for certain groups of posters that it came off as your opportunity to take one last shot across the bow on a topic that had been discussed ad nauseam yesterday and rehashed today.
But honestly, even if that was his intent, how is it any worse than the dozens of times that the group throws around 'elitist' just today? The are obviously trolling with the comments. It would be the same crap. Except here, SilverState showed a constructive way to compliment the comment instead of criticizing someone for how they did it wrong. So, I find no fault with what SilverState said.
Calpoppy, I really like your style as a mod. You always seem to have an objective take, regardless of who the poster is. It is appreciated.
Who the hell is downvoting SilverState for this comment? I don't think this comment warrants a down vote.
people down vote the oddest things or for the dumbest reasons.
I upvoted to counter, so ridiculous. Maybe he was supposed to start 10 threads with misleading titles or carry on about it in another thread.
I suppose it could have been misleading or taken the wrong way.. BUT 1) it wasn't intended, and 2) you don't HAVE to open up every thread, or comment on them...
Aloha, it is all good. Was not referring to you, was in response to Silver getting downvoted.
Id change it, if I new how
figured that out
These are GREAT comments from him, and ill definitely use them, and of course shout out and credit the dubcast, BUT this isn't the comment. This was a player being asked about his dad, and he says his dad is just his dad and lets the coaches coach him
I was hoping the link i posted was it. Don't remember a player saying that, maybe someone on the staff has some knowledge of it?
I really appreciated the link though, those were good words from John and I'm going to use them!
It's killing me that I can't remember. Funny thing is I can remember where I was when I heard them, yet can't remember who it was... driving me nuts. I felt like it was zeke, but can't seem to find anything. IT was FOR SURE someone who's dad though played in college or the pros, because thats why the question was asked. It was like "does your dad give you any coaching at home" or something to that degree.
Was it possibly Basketball?

Mike Thomas and Keyshawn, maybe?
I remember Braxton's Dad told him to "just do what the coaches ask you to do" when he was a freshman and the Tattoo situation was going on. Can't recall if his Dad also refrained from coaching him. I do remember his Dad told him that if he gets a touchdown to "act like you've been there before."
Check this link, might this be the article you look for?
Here's the section I think might be the quote:
“Sometimes I hear stories, and I've seen, where the parent’s an idiot,” Meyer said. “Quit bothering the coaching staff. Support your son. You ask what advice I would give? Support your coach at all costs. You don’t have the answer. I spend 15 times the amount of time with that guy (Jones) as my son. When parents come to me and start explaining to me how to coach a team, I’ve got a problem with that. That’d be my advice. If you’re parents, brothers, sisters or are an athlete yourself, if you get hit in the face, support your coaching staff, make a difference, be part of the solution. If you do that, you win championships.
"Defiance in Silence"
not it, but another great quote!!
Phew. Another non-legal advice asking thread!

Like I said, i wanted this for my video blog. Im doing a 2 part series, first one is about how to be a great student athlete and teammate, focused towards students from JH to HS. Tomorrow I'll do the second part which will be parents roles in athletics, how to be a parent of an athlete, from talking to their athlete, the coaches, and their behavior at games or events.
As a HS soccer coach for 10 years, these are very important issues that I personally don't think get talked about enough or get enough attention.
here is part 1:
+1 for cavs shirt.
Wearing it proudly in the Bay Area. I get looks but nobody says much. When they do I usually just ask them if they remember warriors basketball before 3 years ago. Most laugh and say they used to be a Lakers fan. But it's all in good fun, they won the title and have the easiest trash talk material in the world. And look damn near unbeatable right now.
Shout out to Eleven Warriors Dubcast too!
