Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
The first nasty number 36! Congrats Tom Cousineau!

I wait every year to see if we will have a #36 in the middle linebacker position. Call me superstitious but whom ever wears this number and plays there dominates. IMO
Hey Cancer! This ass kicking is brought to you by the Guernsey county mafia. Give it Hell 84!
Congratulations to Cousineau. I enjoyed watching him play, an awesome player.
yes, I'm still alive
Between Gradishar and Spielman, there was a linebacker named Cousineau...
I'm not around that much, running exhausted and lost...
Gradishar ought to be there too
Has been since 1998 according to the list above.

Finally - what a great honor. Well deserved TOM
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
I remember him most for playing besides Chip Banks.
That dude was a tackling machine
Well deserved. Full disclosure: While he was a freshman my senior year, we had many mutual friends through athletics - so we hung out a little - and I'm obviously biased.
But a funny football story I witnessed more-or-less first hand involved Tom Cousineau. An old buddy of mine, who was playing safety for Indiana at the time, was watching his offense struggling against the Buckeye defense when our starting middle linebacker (a senior) went down with an injury.
Of course, my friend and the rest of the Indiana defenders on the sideline quickly looked at the OSU depth chart - and were relieved to see the replacement would be a freshman. Relieved - that is, until they got a look at Tom as he trotted on to the field. As you might imagine, there was a collective "Oh, sh@t!" from the Hoosier sideline.
And the rest, as they say, is history -

As it should be!
Congrats to Tom, now when the hell is Randy Gradishar going to be voted into the HOF.
The HoF is a joke. ......maybe they should just wait until they're dead to put them in
Lord Almighty. Tom Cousineau now keeps company with an astounding and august list of Buckeye representatives in the CFHOF.
Congratulations, Tom! Your inclusion is a great honor to you and THE Ohio State University.
I am not very smart, but I recognize that I'm not very smart. --- W.W. Hayes
Who had more tackles in a career than Cousineau? Marcus Marek? Randy Gradishar?

I remember Cousineau from my childhood, frankly, I'm shocked that he is only now being inducted...
You left out the part where he dated my mom in 1973. No big deal.
And his dad was my drivers ed teacher at Lakewood. Big man of a man.
I guess he didn't only date your mom.

He was a legend among the group that wore the number. Has lost it's luster lately. Kwon needs to change to it.

Really? He wasn't in it yet?
Well, add another buckeye to the CFB HOF. This gives us 25, an outright third all time.

Cousineau was the best. He fully deserves HOF enshrinement. Congratulations, Tom... it's about time.

We were in the same incoming frosh class. Remember seeing him fall quarter 1975 on West Campus and there were babes hanging all over him . Huge individual.

Hey John Coop is that a hamster or a GERBIL
Was counting the replys before this came up...decided I didn't want to be the first. So thanks no blue.
The question is...is JCLP the first? Or just a harmless Coincidence?
If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.
Cousineau had as much natural talent for playing LB as anyone I've ever seen. What a player.
I saw him wrestle Bob Golic at the district championships in Mentor when they were seniors; everybody there knew they were witnessing greatness.
Tom was so physical with food athletic ability. He holds his own against our best LBs of all time.
I also have outstanding food ability. Which is why I'm on a diet right now.
To err is human. Really sucking requires having yellow stripes on your helmet.
I would've thought Tom was already an inductee, given the career he had. Multiple record holder, first overall pick, HOFamer, now that's a life. Congratulations Tom.
Congrats to one of the best! Well deserved!

McGrind I guess me and you might be the only ones that know about that
Watching the attached vid, did he wear #16 for a game for some reason? (I was in Germany that year and didn't get to see/read a lot about Buckeye Football)
the audio explains who that was.
I only hope that Marcus Marek never gets overlooked (which, by the way, he does when people list the all time Buckeye defensive players).
