AND A GOOD DAY TO YOU, SIR!
How could any Buckeye not love Frank. My little group down here in Fla certainly appreciated seeing his most recent banner - well before the end of the game time had expired. The Game had long been over -
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement. - Will Rogers
Urban's middle name is Frank. Coincidence? I think not.
yes, I'm still alive
Already named my dog Meyer, I guess I need to get another pet to name Frank, because this guy needs to be remembered as a demigod
demigod or demidog?
OK, I'm stretching here...
Now this is a true super fan. Frank should be in the Hof not that douche in the white cape.
Good point, 75 -
but I really like those idiots that dress up in costumes!
So much upvote

Well done. Players need signs too. Maybe his next one should say "dont solicite"
No down vote from me, but a worthless comment. The topic is Frank and his love and support of the University most on this site support. Comments like this do not make the intranets a better place.
"What is our aim, I can tell you in one word. Victory" Winston Churchill
Fuck Michigan. Go Buckeyes.
As a veteran of the Cooper years, all I can say is thank you, Frank! Carry On!
I have a general rule that if you're not under 10 years old, you should never bring a sign to a game because you're just screaming for attention.
With that said, this is the one total exception to said rule due to originality, relevance and tradition. Nice work good sir!!
Why would you care WHY a person brings a sign? Are you one of those people who have an opinion on everything?
Wait, you guys, we can't fight on here! It's the only place where reading the comments is pleasant! Can't we all just get along!?
Teaching CA students all about the Buckeyes
Look at his other posts. All he does is challenge people into online fights with many DV's and deleted comments for that, and is a new poster to the forum
Frank is my hero!
"Those two, they're ruining this war, for all of us!" MAJ Houlihan, when she was whining about Hawkeye and Trapper because they were simply having fun.
Just like a superhero...most effective and anonymous. Frank is exactly what a super fan should be.

That was a good read, Eric. Now I'm extra curious as to how Frank gets the banners into the stadiums. He's gotta have an inside man helping, right?
All roads lead back to Columbus
Well he has the fortune of The Game always being during cold weather, and from the picture he is wearing a trench coat which would help bulk around the legs. If you fold and roll the banner carefully, it would be feasible to get it under your clothes perhaps going up one leg, around the neck and down the other leg. He said it's 8 feet, that would fit. It would have to be a very thin nylon-like fabric. Hm, now I want to try it- Myth-busters, OSU- style.
We should strive to keep thy name, of fair repute and spotless fame...
(Also, I'm not a dude)
"You mad 'Baugh'?"
"Print is dead"
Holy crap. This guy is a legend. Get on 11w now to receive your UVs.
"Big dude. I ain't fucking with that guy", said every Michigan fan anywhere near him.
I've been meaning to go back and get a pic of this guy - absolutely LOVE this shot.
In case you're curious, it's Mr. Spray
A picture of that banner is what I sent to my _ichigan friends upon our complete, and dominant victory. It was well received, I can assure you...
Thank you sir, and may we continue to see your banners fly for years to come...especially in the Stink House after all of the road victories! Might we not consider "Franks's" banner the "Victory Bell for the Road"??
Thank the Maker that I was born in Ohio, cradle of coaches, US Presidents, confederate-stomping Generals, and home of The Ohio State University Football Buckeyes- 2014 UNDISPUTED National Champions!

As you should, Frank!

Is that, by any chance, a sweater vest under his coat?
Don't give away his identity. We need him to keep his Troll game. If Michigan knows him than they will make sure the signs don't return.
Michigan and Ohio once fought over Toledo. Ohio Lost
My mistake. This is Frank.
Always sweeter seeing those banners make their way into TTUN's stadium.
The way he slides the banners past the heightened security on game days is private, but you can imagine it's quite the process.
How does he do it? My money says that this mastermind quilts the damn thing in the bathroom at halftime.
Its the screensaver on my work computer. Leaving the score in the corner only emphasizes it's importance. This man is doing God's work.
I love everything about this picture. The banner, the score, the fact that we have the ball AGAIN in the red zone, and the 2 dejected M fans surrounded by Scarlet and Grey in their shithole stadium.
To me, its the pinnacle of a storied rivalry game, in one picture. Gonna be hard to top this one....
Frank, you're my hero.
I want to be this guy's friend. #respect
Champions Bleed Scarlet and Gray
Frank, the Troll, the Unfurler, the Legend.
What a good man! He should donate his latest masterpiece to the university's hall of fame to commemorate 'The Psycho One's' reintroductuon to the rivalry.
After all, at this point Harbaugh is more Rodriguez than he is Bo.
At this point, Hoke > Harbaugh
I was referring more to the fact that, both, Rodriguez and Harbaugh accomplished very little (peaking with BCS Bowl victories), prior to being called upon to rescue those bastards from Hall of Fame coaches at Ohio State, and are the only two head coaches in that program's terrible history (I believe) to lose their debuts in The Game...
But your notion is probably a couple years away from proving valid, as well.
Schadenfreude at it's finest.
That was one of my favorite moments while watching the game, I excitedly called my wife into the room, backed up the DVR and said check this out. Thanks Frank for the moment, I smile every time I see that picture posted.
Long live Frank.
PG <3 PG
Frank is a true superfan... and I love that he's still remaining fairly anonymous so he can continue to smuggle his masterpieces into the big house. His mission is clear and simple, and he's not looking for recognition. Thank You, Frank... and thank you, Eric for finding him.
Frank is a great fan with a great sense of humor. Long live Frank!
In Urban We Trust.
Frank, you are welcome at my house any time, brother.
It's truly GREAT to be a Buckeye!
As a Toledo boy, who's father was Bo's roommate at Miami freshman year, I grew up in the middle of it. My mom went to scUM for her PhD, but I hate every stinking thing about Ann Arbor, especially those sanctimonious pr@cks at scUM.
Frank is my homie! Go Buckyes!
"Have a Coke and a smile!.....along with $150 in UM football tickets"
especially those sanctimonious pr@cks at scUM.
Thank you LEFTCOAST. I always upvote anyone who points out sc UM's arrogance. Their myopic, exalted view of themselves is lost a little bit, on the younger crowd I believe, because we've beat them like a drum the last 15 years.
But it's there none the less - STILL - and it's pathetic. If you have to go back to the early part of the 20th century, to brag about your glory years, and only have 1/2 of a national title to your claim since the early 1950s, your "elitism" rings a little hollow, or a lot in this case.
Bo Schembechler: Student of Woody;
Gary Moeller: Player for Woody;
Lloyd Carr & Rich Rodriguez: Owned by Tressel;
Brady Hoke: Owned by donuts;
Jim Harbaugh: Owned by Urban to the tune of 42-13.
Btw, it's 13-2. No need to qualify or disqualify anything.
Absolutely. The NCAA likes to play pretend and wave some sort to toy magic wand and try to erase games that we all watched.
All praise to Frank - impressive work, sir.
I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low...
Thanks for this write up I have often wondered about the mastermind behind this glorious endeavor! Long live Frank and his beautiful banners!
I laughed out loud when I saw this during The Game. Frank is right that we are living in very good days as Buckeye fans. Let's thoroughly enjoy them.
I know the 2 people to the left of this sign. I went to The Game with them in 2005. They have been to every TTUN game in Ann Arbor since. Good guys.
You know the 2 guys wearing the Jon Diebler jerseys?
Yep. Michigan Still Sucks!
I am not very smart, but I recognize that I'm not very smart. --- W.W. Hayes
I LOVE Frank's signs, and they usually end up on the cover of my scUM DVDs!!!
My wife and I was watching intently for this years sign. We knew it would be there but was unsure if they would show it. And there it was in all it's glory. Great job frank.
Nice job Frank.
Belief of Harbaugh's greatness was represented not only on billboards and other signage around the city, but even on ATMs, in restaurants and barber shops.
IMO, what they do is fantastic. Its simple, effective, and as has been discussed in the article, generally inoffensive. Keep up the great work, hero.
Great work, Frank!

Keep fighting the good fight in Toledo. We need more men like you Frank.
Sure beats Buck-I-Guy hogging up the cameras. I'd rather see this than that caped maroon....
Saban on a cart eating cold pizza
I love Frank.
Frank should never have to buy a drink anywhere in Buckeye Nation.
Indeed! I would give this multiple upvotes if I could.
Frank, I salute you. Carry on...
Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle and mutilate.
LOL!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!
I've known Frank for many years now, and he is a genuinely fine human being. Always has a smile for everyone, generous, and just a lot of fun to be around. I'm happy to see him get the recognition he deserves. Love you!
I know "Frank" personally, and to say he bleeds Scarlet and Gray would be an understatement...GO BUCKS!!!
Good stuff! Thanks Frank!
16-2 is SWEET!
Woody would be pleased with Frank's work!
I hadn't seen all of those signs. All I can say is:
MY BUTT'S SO BIG, I SPLIT MY PJ BOTTOMS
To be frank, ISWYDT.
The Game is cancelled next year. That team up north won't get past Frank into Ohio!

Great story--one of my favorites on 11W. Quite frankly, I think this story is worthy of an ESPN 30 for 30 documentary short. It truly epitomizes what being a superfan--in a good way--is all about.
And Frank, seeing your banner was the icing on the cake two weeks ago. Perhaps Ohio State's PR dept can arrange to fly you out to the Fiesta Bowl to provide some special inspiration.
Frank ... U DA MAN!
I'm the same age as Archie, so I'm three years older than Frank. For all you young whippersnappers who think all of us old folks sit there quietly on our hands, Frank destroys that stereotype.
The Real MVP...
Good is not good enough, where better is expected
Loved seeing the score of the game hanging over the overpass (Monroe St. -Sylvania exit -1st exit south into OH) after the game as well as Frank's banner this year.... Previous years have included people at the M-O line on 23 greeting Buckeye fans with Ohio Sate and State of OH flags as we cruise back into Ohio after winning in Ann Arbor--- then there was 1979 when every underpass in Michigan was festooned with Ohio State banners -all the way to A squared where we were greeted at I-94 and 23 with a Go Blue! F---- OSU sign--not a good sign of hospitality from our neighbors to the North--and in 1975 when their were Archie for Heisman 2 bumper stickers plastered all over the Diag and around Michigan Stadium..... good times- Go Bucks!
Cleverness, irony, humor: Perfection! GO BUCKS!!!!
The rivalry hasn't always been this lopsided. It went Michigan's way during the John Cooper era 2-10-1. OSU had two wins in thirteen years, much like the current streak the Buckeye's enjoy. On the eve of the game, the night before Bo Schembechler passed, he said, "These things go in cycles." Indeed they do!
"Great teams play great rivals . . . except Notre Dame, West Virginia, and Louisville!"
