Even if you can only donate $5 toward fighting cancers that affect men, that's significantly more helpful than donating no dollars.
We are only a couple days away, and around $500 left to meet our goal! Think about chipping in some out of all that money you save this weekend if you your wife/family does the Black Friday shopping thing.

@Ramzy - Got your back, my mustachio'd 11W friend. It's getting late in the week, The Game is bearing down on us & I wanted to help out a little & donate. As you said, even if you donate just $5 (and skip the 2 extra toppings on the plain pepperoni pizza this week to save the $5, you've helped). I've been truly blessed in this life, but have also lost friends & family due to cancer. Go Bucks. Beat Michigan.

Goals: Beat Michigan. Win the B1G East. Beat Michigan. Win the B1G CG. Beat Michigan. Win a Natty. Beat Michigan.
I hate the offseason.
Yessir. I'm standing up and applauding. I'm sending this link to my Buckeye brethren, allowing with the following old quote, because I can't say it any better than this. It's Michigan week. Go Bucks!
It's in the faithful. It's in the faith. This is the thing that gives the Buckeyes an edge, the Ohio State spirit, the unwavering practice of devotion, devotion the way Woody would want it, and the way John Cooper never could understand. It's a thing so deep it has no roots, so wide it's got no shores. It's a thing that can't be contained, can't be kept under a bushel, or left lying quiet in a heart. It's a thing that has to be sung out, made manifest.
Ramzy is the maestro, beautifully orchestrating a Symphony of words.
This peice about The Game is straight up music.
I love this site. Go Bucks!!
“The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.” – Theodore Roosevelt
Thanks as always, Ramzy.
One comment: I may be wrong but I don't believe Early Times meets the requirements of straight bourbon. I think it fails on a couple of specs.
Correct, it would fail bonding because it uses a variety of barrels. It passes for Firestarter purposes on account of not being terrible or expensive.
Did you get me my Cheez Whiz, boy?
As always, great article Ramzy. Plenty of amazing zingers in there to plagiarize (just kidding I always cite my sources (apa format)).
The past is the past and the present is now - It's Michigan week! This game has its shine back. A top 10 match up. Harbaugh trying to establish himself and Urban trying to hold serve as the overlord of all rivalries. Two B1G teams battling to stay alive in the title hopes both in conference and nationally. Whoever wins the B1G is going to the playoff...be it Iowa, Sparty, Mich or us. I think the sleeping giant is awake and I cant wait till we storm AA on Saturday.

What's the "acceptable" season to lose to Michigan? There is no such season.
Beating them isn't everything, it's the ONLY thing.
P.S. Way to drop the mic on last week and I totally agree the focus is on getting a precious pair of Gold Pants. Go Buckeyes, stomp the skunk weasels!
The only good thing about The Game is winning it - Urban Meyer
You are right about this Saturday. IF they attempt a pass past 10 yards and a receiver catches it, i'm going to be pissed off.
"I spent 90 percent of my money on women and drink. The rest I wasted." - George Best
If anyone comments before 1:45 they didn't read it....
“Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.”
I'm a slow reader.
Ya same here that was my joke..
Took you 2 hrs to read?
My handle says it all this week more than any other. Go Bucks!
In Urban We Trust.
Good god we are all gonna be pissed when Zeke runs for 300 yards and JT throws for 250 on Saturday.
Pissed and thrilled to death at the same time
I hate it when people say that they want michigan to be good to make the rivalry interesting again. They talk about another "Ten Year War." That's a rubbish opinion. Both OSU and Michigan got smacked in most of the bowl games throughout the 70s, and that repeated itself in 2006. When both teams are good there is too much focus on The Game and the teams usually fizzle out in the following games.
Agreed, didn't need scUM to be comletive last year to win the championship.
i hope we beat them 100-0 every year for a 100 years
HELL YEAH! Let's go Bucks!
Wait, it's Wednesday? DAMMIT!
"I am El Guapo...the handsome one."
The Buckeyes had been living dangerously throughout this season, winning on talent while its coaching staff fumbled around weekly trying to figure out exactly what the offensive identity of the team was supposed to be
This is true, but sc UM has been anything but a thing of beauty (if that's even possible).
They're one dropped pass, and a botched clock management situation (Minnesota) from having 2 more losses.
Hairball has improved them - a little - from last year, but not by much. Let's not forget that Maryland went toe to toe with them also, for 2 and 1/2 quarters. Nothing to write home about.
That being said, they're still dangerous, and tOSU better bring their A game.
Bo Schembechler: Student of Woody;
Gary Moeller: Player for Woody;
Lloyd Carr & Rich Rodriguez: Owned by Tressel;
Brady Hoke: Owned by donuts;
Jim Harbaugh: Owned by Urban to the tune of 42-13.
I will never forget the man that went 9-1.
I have that HBO documentary on dvd and watch it once a year on the morning of the The Game.
Despite a decade of horrendous football, and the knowledge that the still have Brady Hoke's talent base on the field, Michigan fans expect they're going to walk all over the Buckeyes. And they feel entitled to it.
To hell with them.
I can't read It's Michigan in Woody's voice. He would have never uttered their name in that context.
We should strive to keep thy name, of fair repute and spotless fame...
(Also, I'm not a dude)
Holy crap that was an epic read. This time I read it while listening to this track.
I agree with you Ramzy. Our game plan was cowardly and the weather should not have mattered, but as always it's a 1 game season!
I'M READY NOW!!!! Thanks Ramzy for getting me in the right state of mind!
Sidenote, you were in Cbus Saturday and didn't stop by the Unbanger? Oyster is going to be pissed.
“Ain’t life grand when you finally hit it!” DLR
That would be Desmond Howard's jersey, and it was the number of choice for impressionable Michigan fans......That jersey is a relic of from the triumphant past for a program that hasn't had a present worth remembering for the better part of the current century
Desmond's put on a few pounds lately, and is doing a new sport:
Zeke was far more courageous speaking the truth than his coaches were against Michigan State.
"Year for what?"
"Zeke was far more courageous speaking the truth than his coaches were against Michigan State"
Love that take. Why have we decided that this year JT all of a sudden can't throw the ball? He threw for almost 3000 yards last year and now we barely give him a chance to run a pass play that's more than 10 yards downfield
Krenzel's going to throw for it! Gotta get it off! They go for the ballgame...touchdown! Touchdown! Michael Jenkins! On fourth and one! Would you believe it?! Craig Krenzel strikes with a minute and a half left! Holy Buckeye!
The fact that we have lost twice as much to Purdue the last 15 years as we have to ttun is mind-boggling. Let's start the Harbaugh years off by beating that weirdo down! Get it done boys!
No weekly poster yet, I'm anxious. Is it possible it had to be scrapped because of Mirror Lake references?
- OSU ISE -+- Premium Banter -+- OH48 80k -
Zeke is in college for only a little while longer. If professional football doesn't work out he has the rest of his life to be a corporate drone who keeps his head down and his mouth shut while mediocre managers who failed their way into their positions because they knew the right person on the inside suck out loud at their jobs. Nobody earns the right to tear down a boss but some do earn the capital that allows them to do so without suffering any consequences.
We are all corporate slaves... #MURICA
My heart skipped a beat when I read that! Ramzy was starting into my soul...
OSU didn't execute and lost to horrible officiating. BOTH things can be true
That is all.
Proudly dispensing unbridled arrogance since 1983.
Ramzy...all I can say about this is
Thanks Ramsy. You wrote what what we were thinking.
Johnny Utah QB@TOSU
I have to admit, two of the best games I've been to in the Shoe, we lost the games. Both in the 90's, once to scUM, we were driving and in the red zone, just before time expired, we threw a pick in the end zone. The other game vs USC, I was sitting in A deck on the east side near the end zone. It was pouring, the stands almost emptied, but those of us that remained made up for it, we were plenty loud. We made a score, but missed the on sides kick. The game ended early due to lightening.
I believe that was the 1991 game when Coop and USC's coach agreed to call the game. USC won 36-27....
Saban on a cart eating cold pizza
Yes. Was there too.
Even their fight song is pompous and self-adulating. Ours is passionate and aspirational. They're the best. Ohio State doesn't have to be the best.
The best don't proclaim it themselves, because others are sure to do it for them.

The will to win is not as important as the will to prepare to win. -- Woody Hayes
I think this game is not even close.... Which way I have no clue. We either get blown out or beat them by five touchdowns. I see no middle ground in this matchup.
The truth is in the details...
This is why I don't make those types of bets, though... The mere chance that I might have to wear that God awful jersey is enough to keep me up at night...
I make a similar bet with my neighbor every year. If TTUN wins, I have to spend a year with a *ichigan bumper sticker on my car. If tOSU wins, he has to have a buckeye bumper sticker. He's spent the last three years pulling a car with a tOSU mark into the garage of a house with a *ichigan flag flying out front!
For not writing about last week's game, you sure wrote about last week's game and the surrounding shit-storm!
I tend to agree on your take of Zeke's comments as well. Normally, I wouldn't be behind a player questioning his coaches game planning and decisions right after a loss. It usually takes the form of whining, selfishness, and can cause the locker room to divide. This was not that. It wasn't a whine, rooted in selfishness, or off the mark. Anyone watching that game saw wasted potential, and lack of confidence, pure and simple. I suspect Zeke's candid assessment will have the effect of galvanizing the staff and players to get pissed, get to work, and get a workable strategy in place for Saturday.
Thanks. That sums up almost exactly my feelings on Zeke's comments. Someone needed to speak out and maybe it will be the catalyst to finally unleashing this team's potential if only for the next 2 games.
"I banged it out while still wearing soaking-wet clothes because I sat in A deck and watched the Buckeyes punch themselves in the crotch for four hours."
Exactly my sentiments as well..............
Ramzy, this is more like it!
We're coming to get you Barbra!
Never had Fireball and never will, I do like a nice tingly on the tongue spicy finish though. I'm glad you stated what flavored whiskey really is and that includes those Honey flavored ones as well. Since tomorrow is Turkey Day, cooking and eating Turkey is on the schedule may as well drink some to. So I've picked up a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 and Wild Turkey Single Barrel (which is also bottled at 101 proof) for tomorrows festivities, last year it was Rare Breed.
Beat Michigan and have a great Thanksgiving everybody.
I followed the advice of our benevolent leader and bought a bottle of early times. Here's something fun I discovered - just sprinkling a little cinnamon powder into my class and stirring it - divine. I even like the little powdery texture. It's best neat, ice makes the powder clump.
I saw Ryan Day hang 62 on Michigan...His hair was perfect.
Go Buckeyes Beat Michigan
The "list of the people who are allowed to be afraid of a light wind" is awesome. I don't know how Ramzy does it time and time again, he has some kind of a creative gene in full on mode, a rare talent.
+1 on this - perfection
That pitiful attempt to throw a deep ball in the 4th quarter against MSU made me chuckle. It was such an ill-timed, lame attempt to get MSU to "respect the pass" that it was completely laughable. I believe Dantonio knew in that instant that Sparty would win the game.
Playing "not to lose" is for sissies.
"I think Alabama would beat Ohio State if they played next weekend!" Clay Travis Fox Sports Post Championship Show 1.12.2015. Needs no explanation.
A good general always makes you search for his weaknesses. - Woody Hayes
One of the best articles ever!
JT should take some heat for his dumb drinking and driving killed the offensive momentum we had.
game cost Zeke the Heisman nobody stands out this year, it was the year of the RB.
love the one liners-"chickenshit afraid of the wind game plan" my favorite.
Food for thought - tho Auburn's D somehow sucks (will muschamp, defensive guru? My ass), theirs is also a rivalry game. And if Derrick Henry lays a bit of an egg in that game, Zeke's opening is there. If he and the Oline (and coaches!!) can take advantage of it, and he goes off against *eatchicken, he's right back in the hunt.
"Gentlemen, you are about to play football for THE Ohio State University against that team up north. Never in your life will you do anything as important." Braxton Miller, visitors' locker room, 11/28/15
36-24-36? Ha ha, only if she's 5'3"
I’m not sure what time it is, but Xichigan still sucks
Probably my favourite read ever on 11W. Thank you and GO BUCKS!
Even their fight song is pompous and self-adulating. Ours is passionate and aspirational. They're the best. Ohio State doesn't have to be the best. It has no use for such a declaration. It just aspires to be better than the best on the Saturday that matters most. That's the best.
Happy Thanksgiving. Go Bucks. Beat Michigan forever."
Amen Ramzy. Amen.
The narrative nails everything Ohio State Michigan game is all about.
Happy Thanksgiving. Go Bucks. Beat Michigan.
You are a literary God. That's all.
Beating scUM never gets old, last year proved they can suck and the big ten can win the national championship, same this year winner of big ten championship in playoffs without scUM being in the running.
grind them into to dust sick of them cherry picking coaches and recruits from Ohio
We could be 0-11 and I'd still wanna kick Michigan's a**! So just because Sparty likely ruined our repeat hopes, doesn't mean this game means nothing! The Michigan game will never nothing EVER! Because it's Michigan for God shake! I bet Woody rolls over in his grave everytime someone says that! #GoBucks #BeatMichigan
We will fight to the end for OH-IO!
Ramzy, awesome as always!
Hang on Sloopy!
I waited until my day (now night) was completely free from distraction to read this. Dammit Ramzy, I'd run through a wall for you! I ran out of superlatives for you many comments ago, and I think I've even commented on how I've ran out of superlatives for you.
I've never felt more in the moment reading someone else's words. I'm forever thankful, and I'll follow you to the moon!
"...vintage Jim Bollman grab-bag special void of any strategy..."
Because I needed a basis of estimate to what exactly was (or perhaps wasn't) coordinated last Saturday. It's therapeutic.
Or what taking a shot at Jim Bollman actually looks like.
Fine reads as usual.
Hindsight is, and in, 2020
Top to bottom one of the best articles I've read all season, and maybe since I've come to this fair site. Particularly so vis-a-vis the chickenshit play calling. And I don't mean to that "back in my day" guy, but, I am not exaggerating when I say that in high school and even junior effen high, we ran more aggressive offenses and threw the ball more in driving rainstorms played on mudhole fields than that puckered-a** piece of garbage we saw last week. Urban-Beck-Warriner should be utterly ashamed of themselves. That was unadulterated incompetent cowardice. They should donate their game checks to charity because they were just stealing money from their employer last week.
What did Woody say about getting the Hell kicked out of you?
