He was only there because of Ohio State's Brand....
I wish the real world would just stop hassling me...
This didn't make me laugh the first time I read it. But strangely, I'm howling at it now after like, the third read.
I saw his response, but there is no way in hell to talk yourselves out of this one. Completely done on purpose.
Briles is losing me. He's done a hell of a job and I want to like him (from Texas H.S. coach to UH head coach to Baylor) but this is just stupid.
Here comes the investigation and no, he is not going to hand over his phone either... it's broken!!
"Defiance in Silence"
Briles alternates between being a whiny nuisance and a snake oil salesman. Just not a likeable guy.
He wasn't actually there..#shhhh
Who dislikes Art Briles?
I don't. Besides his complaining(which most here would have done if Ohio State had been left out), I don't see a reason to.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Get well soon Mrs.Naut 6-0 > 3-6.
The whole Ukwuachu story reeks. He's the head coach of a major program and picks up a guy who is booted off another team. Then claims he had no idea WHY he was even dismissed in the first place? This, after we see an article the other day how football departments scrutinize players Twitter accounts. Yet he claims he had NO IDEA this kid had a history of aggressive behavior towards women. Which also, by the way, is in direct conflict of what Peterson (Former Boise Coach) said he told Briles over the phone.
Boise and Ukwuachu's father backed up Briles' story.
That's not what I read. Not that I don't believe you.
But you have to ask yourself, do you really believe he didn't know what he was getting? I mean, the kid got booted out of a program. You don't make a call to find out why? Or do a little research?
How is the complaining not enough? No way an OSU coach whines like a 3 year old after the fact like that. Sure, fans complain. We're not professionals. We are borderline crazy people. fanatics. He is expected to act like a professional, and he fails spectacularly every chance he gets.
Stop trying to make Baylor happen?
Thank you so much for the mean girls reference. As this site is mostly male, most will not get it. But I'm glad someone else appreciates 14 year old girl movies as much as me.
I will admit I have watched it more than what is normal for a 29 year old male. My wife was on bed rest during her pregnancy this year and I swear she watched the movie at least once a day.
I will admit I like the movie though.
Is 11w a carb?
Boo, you whore!
No Shame in seeing that movie more than once...
But was he helping anyone acquire free tattoos?
Tom Brady lost to John Cooper. Never forget.
But was he helping anyone acquire free discounted tattoos?
That's even worse!! #DeathPenalty
Hey Art, you're doing it wrong
Also, in case you missed it, Art's son who is OC as well as WR coach for both suspended for the first game due to recruiting violations last spring. Plus the crap with the guy who transferred from Boise State. Baylor does what it wants and if they get caught, they will deal with the consequences. It is the south guys!
It's Texas. Not the South.
He is so insecure my god
I did not know a member of a coaching staff was not allowed to attend the game of an opponent on their schedule against another team. But, they can watch tapes of the game right? I'm being dense, don't get what the big deal is, maybe because he was on the sideline and could get better insight?
The will to win is not as important as the will to prepare to win. -- Woody Hayes
Stealing signs comes to mind. Seems strange to want to stand on the sidelines when it's impossible to fully watch a game you could see much more easily on tv/tape
What if you don't hear YOLO anymore because everyone who use to say it died?
Great minds and so forth.
They're all chickens. The rooster has sex with all of them.
Being at the game it might be possible to catch and decipher signals.
You can listen to the defense as opposed to watching it silently

Ah OK, thanks guys.
And Fatpants, as always you make me laugh.
Dirty, Dirty, Dirty...If it doesn't pass the smell test, then you probably shouldn't do it. They've taken a page out of the New England Patriots manual....Just my opinion...
Saban on a cart eating cold pizza
Cheating, that's whats going on down there.
SIDELINE CONTROL—The rules committee admonishes NCAA member institutions and conferences to enforce strictly the rules regarding the team area and coaching box (Rule 1-2-4-a, back of the limit lines between the 25-yard lines), and the space between the limit lines (Rules 1-2-3-a and b, 12 feet outside the sidelines and the end line) and the sidelines. These field-level locations must be kept clear of persons who have no game responsibilities. The field level is not for spectators. It must be reserved for those who are performing a service associated with action on the field of play and for administration of the game. Simply put, no job means no sideline pass. Points of Emphasis FR-9 Each team is limited to 60 persons in its team area, not including squad members in full uniform, who shall be wearing a team credential. (Full uniform is defined as equipped in accord with NCAA rules and ready to play.) The credentials should be numbered 1 through 60. They should be reserved only for those who are directly involved in the game. No other credential should be valid for the team area. Persons who are directly involved in the game include (Rules 1-1-6 and 1-2-4-b): coaches, team managers, medical and athletic training staff members, athletics communications staff members, and game operations staff members (e.g., chain crew, ball persons, official media liaisons, technicians responsible for coach-to-press box communications). While the game is in progress, the area from the limit lines outward to the stadium seating, outside the team area, should be restricted to credentialed media camera operators and on-air personnel, cheer team members in uniform, and stadium security personnel in uniform. Game management personnel and stadium security personnel are responsible for enforcing these restrictions.
