Ohio State QB Cardale Jones taken to hospital with headache but should be OK, according to multiple reports.

Cardale Jones is going to be okay. Just a bad migraine-- some rest and the QB will be just fine. pic.twitter.com/sXHgRxIK2c
— Buckeye Sports Radio (@BuckeyesRadio) September 3, 2015
nothing to sweat over. Take some medication to help with the headaches and will be good as new. This VT game needs to happen now before anything else can potentially go wrong for us. The football gods have evened the scales enough IMO.
I agree, but this group deals with adversity better than any I can ever remember! Next Man Up is totally overused, but also completely applicable here. Hopefully 12 is fine and this blows over quickly instead of a lingering prob that happens more often than not. As in, dare I say, Percy Harvin.

My guess is its not concussions since the qbs aren't getting hit right now. I'm sure nobody wants to get the earful that's waiting the first guy to hit the potential starter in practice. I suppose it could be residual from a previous concussion from years past but I'm also doubting that on the basis of because I said so and no other knowledge of the topic. Either way, I hope its not a concussion issue either.
Good one Q. I laughed outloud on the bus and now everyone is looking at me. Kinda reminded me of that beer commercial with the self proclaimed worlds most interesting man in it. Speedy recovery Dolo. Go Buck's
Or maybe just the stress of the bright spotlight. I don't imagine being in a competition to be starting QB on the defending champs is just an easy-peasey no worries walk in the park endeavor despite all the laughing that "Scarlet and Gray Days" showed.
You've got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.
This is probably right. Stress induced migraines would not be a huge surprise to me. He's A) Battling for the starting job and under intense scrutiny, B) has a daughter and family to think about supporting through an NFL contract as soon as next year, and C) has to be a student as well, taking senior level courses (since he's a RS JR). Even in easier majors, with the academic support the football team gets, it has to be a very stressful time.
Yup. While the source of migraines still eludes physicians, most believe that dehydration plays a key role. The players have been going hard for the last few weeks in the hot, humid Columbus summer. I bet they're all dehydrated to some degree.
Especially since it has been hotter and more humid this week than that last few weeks, I'm sure that had a lot to do with it, perhaps they didn't increase their water consumption to compensate. Here's to hoping that Cardale, and the team as a whole, are all ok.

My mom had migraines her entire life, they can be quite dibilitating, no fun at all from what I understand. Hope he recovers quickly and he (and JT) is able to give VTech defenders some headaches.

Good for him for going to the hospital. Too many people would have stayed home when he really needs scans looking for traumatic brain injury, even with a no contact jersey on you never know. You don't want to take any chances with neurology.
Me too. It's not just a headache, it's nausea and weakness and sensitivity to light and sound. Usually I have a migraine hangover for a day even after the pain is gone where I'm weak and shaky and feel mentally fuzzy. Speedy recovery Cardale!
This is my guess. I think the media headlines and all the worrying is a bit overblown. Now, I don't have intimate knowledge of the situation, but I think its effectively assured to be just dehydration and mental exhaustion.

That had to be a big headache because that is one big head on one big man.
When I used to complain about headaches as a kid to get out of work, my Dad would say, "If I had a head that looked like that, it would hurt too."
A sudden severe headache should be evaluated, particularly someone Cardale's age. Meningitis is always a possiblity and needs treated ASAP.
And Migraines are not...fun....
Was Cardale admitted? I thought he was treated and released.
The headline....makes it appear he is in the hospital now, and I don't think that is the case?
