That crown is heavy...
B1G ups Dolodale, hopefully just a migraine some hydration will take care of.

Appears your hopes are correct and it's a bad a migraine and not something worse:
Ohio State QB Cardale Jones taken to hospital with headache but should be OK, according to multiple reports.

Cardale Jones is going to be okay. Just a bad migraine-- some rest and the QB will be just fine. pic.twitter.com/sXHgRxIK2c

nothing to sweat over. Take some medication to help with the headaches and will be good as new. This VT game needs to happen now before anything else can potentially go wrong for us. The football gods have evened the scales enough IMO.
I agree, but this group deals with adversity better than any I can ever remember! Next Man Up is totally overused, but also completely applicable here. Hopefully 12 is fine and this blows over quickly instead of a lingering prob that happens more often than not. As in, dare I say, Percy Harvin.

Enough with the Percy Harvin comparisons already!!!!......oh, wait.....
Praying it's nothing and he's back to 100% by tomorrow!

Barrett could be the college version of Fred Jackson!
12 gauge must have been re-watching the B1G Championship Game from last year and got dizzy from the 50 yard bomb TDs.
Get better 12 gauge! Prayers up.
Hopefully this is nothing concussion related and just due to some dehydration. Best wishes, get well big guy!
For all of those who think Grey is wrong~ Dictionary
My guess is its not concussions since the qbs aren't getting hit right now. I'm sure nobody wants to get the earful that's waiting the first guy to hit the potential starter in practice. I suppose it could be residual from a previous concussion from years past but I'm also doubting that on the basis of because I said so and no other knowledge of the topic. Either way, I hope its not a concussion issue either.
Ignorance isn't bliss for the rest of us.
how can it be a concussion when he be leapin would be defenders (who surely say 'Thank God' when they whiff)
True. You can't get a concussion in that head. God I hope not. I just got a nasty chill typing that.
Cardale doesn't get concussed, concussions get Cardale'd
Good one Q. I laughed outloud on the bus and now everyone is looking at me. Kinda reminded me of that beer commercial with the self proclaimed worlds most interesting man in it. Speedy recovery Dolo. Go Buck's
"We're stretching—and you're a kicker!”
Or maybe just the stress of the bright spotlight. I don't imagine being in a competition to be starting QB on the defending champs is just an easy-peasey no worries walk in the park endeavor despite all the laughing that "Scarlet and Gray Days" showed.
You've got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.
This is probably right. Stress induced migraines would not be a huge surprise to me. He's A) Battling for the starting job and under intense scrutiny, B) has a daughter and family to think about supporting through an NFL contract as soon as next year, and C) has to be a student as well, taking senior level courses (since he's a RS JR). Even in easier majors, with the academic support the football team gets, it has to be a very stressful time.
Yup. While the source of migraines still eludes physicians, most believe that dehydration plays a key role. The players have been going hard for the last few weeks in the hot, humid Columbus summer. I bet they're all dehydrated to some degree.
Especially since it has been hotter and more humid this week than that last few weeks, I'm sure that had a lot to do with it, perhaps they didn't increase their water consumption to compensate. Here's to hoping that Cardale, and the team as a whole, are all ok.

Get well Cardale! I hope it's nothing serious. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Let's just hope it is a various migrane headache and not related to anything more serious.
Prayers Up for Cardale
Hope all is well with Dolodale.

Huh. Get better big fella.
So this is why 11w was impossible to load.
Glad he will be fine.

We didn't have to hire his siblings to get him to commit, so no one is getting fired.
I was really worried this was meningitis when I first heard. I've had it and it starts as a monster headache and then you can't move your neck...glad to hear it's not that.
Bet he got a nice spinal tap last night to check.
Damn, sorry to hear this. Get well, Cardale!
We can't stop here; this is bat country...
Anything to get out of practice eh Cardale?
My mom had migraines her entire life, they can be quite dibilitating, no fun at all from what I understand. Hope he recovers quickly and he (and JT) is able to give VTech defenders some headaches.

Thank goodness the article says he should be fine. Rest up 12 Gauge!
Sending lots of prayers for Cardale.
Good for him for going to the hospital. Too many people would have stayed home when he really needs scans looking for traumatic brain injury, even with a no contact jersey on you never know. You don't want to take any chances with neurology.
Wow hope he's alright health always before football. I can't imagine he'll start Monday with any sort of head pain like this.
We were born to love Ohio State and hate that team up north.
health always before football

Timing is everything. Well played
Migraines suck! I get them so bad I can't see and I vomit all over the place!
"Because I couldn't go for 3"
Me too. It's not just a headache, it's nausea and weakness and sensitivity to light and sound. Usually I have a migraine hangover for a day even after the pain is gone where I'm weak and shaky and feel mentally fuzzy. Speedy recovery Cardale!
Crap, this doesn't sound good. I hope they can figure it out fast and find that it is a freak thing or treatable.
I just checked his symptoms on WebMD. It's either nothing or he'll be dead in a couple of hours ...
I don't DV. Most people don't deserve it, and the ones who do probably enjoy it.
^^Classic!! So true!
I'm framing this comment and giving it to the wife. (former WebMD alarmist)
I'm a bit of a hypochondriac as it is, so WebMD is not a good place for me. :)
My doctor calls it "ImGonnaDie dot com".
Phuch. Too much happiness from being so awesome has its toll, I guess.
dont you let anyone beat you in video football, Cardale!
you're a legend. One of Kind.
get well, soon!
Wouldn't be surprised if the combo of dehydration and stress got the best of him. Hang in there Cardale!
This is my guess. I think the media headlines and all the worrying is a bit overblown. Now, I don't have intimate knowledge of the situation, but I think its effectively assured to be just dehydration and mental exhaustion.
in this kind of weather, could be dehydration and also low electrolytes --- nausea, clammy, sweats, headache, etc.
well done....well done

Hope the kid is doing alright. He should be fine as long as he didn't go to Grant or Doctors.

My wife works at Grant Medical Center. I think you meant a Mt. Carmel system hospital.
In any case he is at OSU. I had some issues there with my dad at the James.
If I have anything critical that is not an immediate emergency, I go to the Cleveland Clinic.
I have been having problems loading 11w all day! So frustrating...Man, is tech support off today?

True professionals, Jason and staff. Shot the FB screen cap to @11W from my @BuckeyeEdge account because I know getting it in their hands will get us fans confirmation/answers the quickest. In return they give me the "via" on their Cardale post, as seen above.
These guys do everything in their power to do it right. Always impressive.
edited to correct typo
The very best wishes to you Cardale. Get well. God bless.
Get that man his chipotle
Holy Buckeye I about fell out of my chair when I read the headline. Prayers for Cardale and all who suffer migraines.
Worry is a misuse of imagination.
Hydrate, sleep, darkness, and sometimes nausea relieving emesis. I hate migraines, and I pray Cardale is rid of this soon.
Had one in high school and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. Literally could not move for hours because I was in so much pain.
Hang tough 12 Gauge!
Nothing cleanses the soul like a no call pass interference.
Prayers for healing rest and quick recovery for Jones! Scary stuff, I'm sure.
Hopefully Rousey just gave him an uppercut and it's nothing to worry about
They wouldn't let me go for 3.
He probably just got tired of Tyvis' banter and yelled at him.
This is definitely where I parked my car.
A close friend went to the ER last Saturday with a migraine. Gave him some medication and sent him home. Turns out it was viral meningitis and he ended up going back and getting admitted for 3 days. The point is, no precaution is too great.
Has anyone checked on DJ? I'm afraid seeing a headline like this could cause him to go into a Four Loko infused coma......
Yah DJ may be bootin' up like this but with Four Loco instead of vino... he is also in my thoughts... All joking aside hope King Dolo is getting well soon.

Prayers for Cardale. Get well, Play well
There is no such thing as "friendly fire"..
Migraines are never fun, having seen my wife deal with them over the years. Here's to a quick recovery for the big guy.
Class of 2010.
Now that reports say he's ok I think we can chuckle a little at this :
@SportsCenter that's what happens when you try too hard to play school
— Travus (@TravusHertl) September 3, 2015
Actually, no. I still really can't laugh at that. Cardale has come a LONG way since that tweet. I hope the young man is feeling better soon.
Dude It's a joke....Not an indictment of his character. Obviously I'm glad he's ok.
It's not funny. Not in the least bit.
"You're the patron saint of the totally effed" - Hot Tub Time Machine
Youre the one making the tasteless joke when Cardale was in the hospital.
Irony in this is that Cardale is an honor student....
THIS SUCKS!!!! I HOPE HE IS OK AND READY TO GO!!!!!!
whew, well that was a good scare right before bed. i sure hop this only a fluke thing and doesn't ever become a recurring problem for him. My Dad suffers from terrible migraines, so i have sympathy for any one who does. they can be debilitating.
Hah! This was me when I heard the news.
I guess the date with Ronda Rousey didn't go as planned.
Rhonda accepted the Marine's invitation to the Ball.

Per ESPN at 1:45 EDT:
"The Ohio State QB was taken to the hospital Wednesday night with a severe headache, according to multiple media reports. Jones underwent tests in the ER, but wasn't admitted to a hospital. Jones' mother Florence told the Toledo Blade "he's good." Cardale is supposed to split time with J.T. Barrett when Ohio State opens against Virginia Tech at 8 p.m. Monday on ESPN."

I hope they evaluate Cardale to the fullest. My question is does he have a history of migraines or is this related to something else. I am worried but at least we know that JT is ready just in case.
Cardale could not be in better hands. Glad to see the immediate attention he is receiving from both tOSU and hospital staff.
Zone6, with rotating WR's, will have 1000+ yards at all 3 WR positions this season
Good to hear he's fine.
I think how this effect's him is the competition to be the starting QB Monday is really low on my concerns right now. I hope, as a person, he is OK. Everything else is really secondary.
Ok, Tyvis, now you've gone too far.
Do we need to call Child Protective Services? I can't believe Tyvis would knock out his own son!
I'm sure Dolo is fine. Hydration, rest, and a victory in Blacksburg should do the trick
Can't wait for King D's tweet on his condition. When his Mom gives him his phone back, of course.
“Save yourself and relax during every game. I recommend a fine bourbon.”
Get well CJ. Football is always secondary to health....

Get better big guy. You are more important as the man and dad, Cardale Jones, than as the QB, 12 gauge. We look forward to seeing you back on the field -- soon.
New York Buckeye
Wishing Cardale a quick recovery.
That had to be a big headache because that is one big head on one big man.
When I used to complain about headaches as a kid to get out of work, my Dad would say, "If I had a head that looked like that, it would hurt too."
A sudden severe headache should be evaluated, particularly someone Cardale's age. Meningitis is always a possiblity and needs treated ASAP.
And Migraines are not...fun....
Was Cardale admitted? I thought he was treated and released.
The headline....makes it appear he is in the hospital now, and I don't think that is the case?
i guess we all know now who will be starting on monday..........does this mean Brax moves up to 2nd string??? ...........(relax, i'm joking)
Brutus is........The People's Champ!!!!
Hopefully by this morning Cardale is feeling much better. Sounds like it might have been a migraine, brought on by heat, dehydration or stress. I hope it was that and nothing more.
Prayers for Cardale, and deepest hope that it is a migraine AND NOT Chiari malformation which our granddaughter and many others have.
Get well, big guy. We need a locked and loaded 12 Gauge on Monday!
Get well soon 12 Gauge!
According to Myer's call-in show Cardale is doing fine and will back on the practice field.
Get well 12
"the man who led the Buckeyes to the 2014 College Football Playoff National Championship" I wouldn't say he led them. He played 3 games. The team got there, if anyone led them I would say it was Barret.
Lousy followup reporting. At least add an update paragraph at the end of the original story.
read elsewhere Cardale had "a couple" migraines in HS, no further details. By itself, close to meaningless... except to indicate the need for a thorough medical effort to either find the problem or determine there isn't one.
