Man good thing UNC never traded their own rewards for tattoos.
"I'm not going to lie. We're anxious to be a part of a matchup like that. It's two states that love the game of football." -Jim Tressel
People always forget that the main reason for the extent of the penalties was that Tressel knew about it and didn't report it.
And I'm sure nobody at UNC knew about all of this and just didn't report it.
Class of 2010.
No rewards to trade...
You can feed a bobcat all the chili it wants. That don't mean it's going to crap out diamonds.
1. When does ESPN subpoena all UNC athletic department emails for multiple years? Did Roy Williams know what was happening? Did he lie on his annual form? 2. I think back to the penalties assessed to Minnesota for academic fraud and wonder when is the hammer coming to UNC?
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
Living in ATL I am obviously surrounded by SEC mouth breathers. But it also has allowed me to meet several UNC alumni and they are, without question, the most arrogant, self absorbed people I have come across. They actually make TTUN's fans tolerable (kind of...).
This "scandal" has done nothing to take their pious-ness down a notch. Zero humility.
I was a fan of Roy Williams at KU. But since he has been UNC's coach he encapsulates their smugness.
There is soooooo much smoke here that something has to come of it. Blows me away the WWL has ignored it this long. Maybe this is the turning point? But I doubt it.
I went to high school in NC and became a Duke fan. UNC fans are some of the worst fans I have met in the nation. Every year it is the same thing for football with them winning the ACC and every year they fail.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Get well soon Mrs.Naut 6-0 > 3-6.
I swear this cat is in the mafia with that royal stare down
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.

When is the NCAA going to frickin do something about this bullshit?
Look, it's one thing to steer athletes to easy classes...such as some easy electives that normal students might take as a senior to fill a few credit hours. Especially if you're a basketball player that is going to end up in the NBA, and college is nothing but a means to that end. But this "paper only" class concept for athletes where the athletes either have the paper written for them, or they turn in some grade A bullshit and get an A-, when my 6th grade English teacher would've given it an F...they might as well just call those athletes employees and pay them.
Maybe we'll see this on the newstands for real.

Hindsight is, and in, 2020
Didn't this already get investigated like 3 years ago (and blew by with little media attention)?
WHAT A JOKE!
The NCAA Is a freaking joke.
The media is a joke.
The biggest sham was the "Tat-gate scandal" and a fine man like Jim Tressel being dismissed.
The OSU "scandal" was about on a scale of 1 to 10.
Penn State's scandal was a 20 on a scale of 1 to 10.
UNC's scandal is a 9 on scale of 1 to 10.
UNC should get a postseason ban of 3 seasons to teach a lesson, won't hold my breath though.
UNC should get a postseason ban of 3 seasons to teach a lesson
Is this a penalty for them?
Wait, so what you're saying is that they're missing a lot by not going to the Russell Athletic or Military Bowl? I'll be damned. I thought those were important bowl games.
"Everything you see on the internet is true." - Abraham Lincoln
We should have pulled an Indiana and skipped the Gator Bowl.
...nobody has been caught perpetrating fraud to the level North Carolina seemingly has.
