Hafley is a smart dude. Hiring dudes from Ohio State is smart. Good for him. GAs are easily replaced.

Congratulations to Sean Duggan.

He was a GA that used to be a linebackers coach.  Sounds like the guy must be pretty smart.

Yeah, I can't hate on Hafley picking younger staff from OSU. Fresh connections, providing opportunities to guys coming up, and he knows he's getting high quality people from Columbus.

Hindsight is, and in, 2020

He is taking GA's and other lower level staff members and making them full time position and strength coaches. Not the same thing as taking Al Washington or Kevin Wilson, for example. This is part of what makes people want to come cut their teeth at a place like Ohio State because they know there will always be upwards opportunity if you do a good job

I don't disagree at all, I just want Hafley to stop taking our dudes. plus Korg makes me laugh.

Yep, keep growing that Ryan Day coaching tree. Can only benefit the program. The more guys out there with ties to Ohio State the better.

Taika Waititi is hilarious, he also made the best character in The Mandalorian.

Definitely overall beneficial.  GAs are very replaceable and this gives guys an opportunity to prove themselves.  Not only does it help their careers, but it can even benefit OSU if they develop into great coaches and can come back in the future

Hafley is wanting to capture some of that Coach Mick Magic with the hiring of Matusz.

Sad he can't pull in coach's with experience. There are a lot of GA's that will be fine coach's down the road but how does a fanbase at BC to expect anything different down the road on the win side and collecting talent. Hafley can't do it on his own and what does he know about offense. This may sound like sour grapes because he left but I question a few things about him and the non adjustments when we played solid teams. Sure a funny guy that seems like he would be a hoot to hang around with  but coaching is easy when you have 4 great players at db. Recruiter he was fine there too and his personality goes a long way in wanting to be around him. Then again I trust Day in his first year wanting to get the best he could find but not sure he was his first option of hire as I think back. Wasn't both LSU coach's brought in before him and another name or two? Then again jmo and could be dead ass wrong about the guy.

Sean Duggan played at BC. Former Cincinnati St. Xavier guy. Good opportunity for him.

You couldn't find a better fit for him than that. I'm sure Dugan was the first guy to call Hafley after he took the job clamoring to take him to BC with him. What an incredible thing to happen.

Additionally, I find the St X to BC connection intriguing in a good way, and so long as they're not taking guys with OSU offers, I'd like to see it continue.
