OT but BG’s mom passed away per Bucknuts. So if you can keep him in thoughts and prayers. He’s one of the great ones.
With that said, reminder that tomorrow is Xmas before Xmas
Thanks Spooner - that's some tough news no doubt especially this time of the year.
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.

These are cool. For Cowan
The amount of traffic these threads get is incredible. I stand in awe. Carry on.

That’s not even taking into account the (presumably) numerous members like me that lurk and seldom, if ever, comment. It really is astounding.
Thank you to all the 11w staff that keep the site running and Spooner for these threads and allowing us buckeye freaks to spend hours of our day here.
First fax in? I am going with Simon.

Cam Martinez not signing this week per Rivals
The world is yours
Here we go. Northwestern’s selling him he isn’t good enough to play at OSU. Day’s going to have to fix this one.
Martinez doesn’t want to play defense but bought in because of Hafley. I understand him going to BC but the timing could not have been worse.
FWIW, Cam was never going to be an early enrollee, so it’s probably advantageous for him to sign in February when he knows who his position coach will be.
Agreed. Hafley had told him they would have a specific role for him. He will need to hear the plan from the new DB Coach. (Hopefully Coombs).
Exactly, his plan was always to play out his senior season in basketball and then come to Ohio State, so it doesn't hurt him in any way to hold off on signing until there's more clarity regarding his future role
At least he isn’t flipping as of yet. Gives Day time to visit him and ease Martinez fears
Get every one else signed and delivered tomorrow and spend two months working on 1 or 2 guys.
5 more CB’s for Stroud to Ohio State today. Think we can put a bow on this one.
When it was known we needed another QB with Miller and wondered which lower rated project guy we would bring in with Miller. Who would have guessed Miller would end up being the lower rated one.
His drop in the rankings has been staggering. Purdue & Nerdwestern both have QB commits rated higher than Miller. Just typing that is mind blowing. Stroud will be QB2 come fall.
At first, it seemed to be because of his non participation on the camp circuit and the ratings people putting heavy weight on that, but the HS season is just about over; how did he look? I vaguely remember hearing on here his OL was folding like a lawn chair.
Hell might freeze over if OSU loses commits to Utah and northwestern
Right?! Two electric, impact players at that.. highest rated DB in the class and Mich Mr. football
Technically it already had frozen over.,, Ryan Day won B1G COTY
All Glory is Fleeting
Ginn&Juice won this thread. Start a new one.
Who’s got it better than them? *ichigan signs that Villari kid. QB is the 1291 ranked player. In your face, Fordham!!
Not seeing that. It's not posted on his Twitter, which where I'd expect to see it.
I saw it posted here:
Don't think there's any reason to worry about Cam unless it takes Ohio State three months to make a hire.
From Birms new article it’s pretty easy to gather that’s the main thing. He just wants to see who OSU hires and learn his role.
Which is a smart move from him. He wasn't early enrolling anyways so get all the information you need and make the best decision possible. In my totally unbiased opinion that is Ohio State.
I really hope Martinez does stick around with us. His tape is amazing.
If it's Coombs rumor has it he's planted some flags in tsun before.
Need to get that done ASAP
Then we all better be really rooting for the Buckeyes South (Saints) and El Guapo in weeek 17 to end the Titans season ASAP. Day could have Coombs hired a day or 2 after he beats Clemson.
You're too stupid to have a good time. -Dalton
Need Coombs to get up to tsun and plant a flag!!
Cam is still solid, but he talked to Day and asked if it was okay if he waited to sign to see who the hire will be.
I know we see things through scarlet and gray eyes, but this is pretty respectful and mature.
Makes sense about Cam since he’s not an EE.
My awful board of DB coaches I would like to see are Coombs, Fran Brown, Matt Guerrieri, Chris Hewitt, and Joe Woods.
I would add Gannon to the list
I would bc I think he’s a great coach but he has never recruited before or at least I’m not aware of him doing so. Which gives me pause.
Muskegon (Mich.) athlete Cameron Martinezwas one of Hafley’s recruits. Martinez has informed Bucknuts he plans to wait until February to sign.
"Because of coach Hafley's departure," Martinez said. "(But) I'm still committed."
Martinez has talked with Ryan Day and likes what he hears from Ohio State's head coach.
Any one else find it humorous that the kid from the state up north is understandably taking a step back with Hafley leaving and ttun is still not even part of equation? Lol
Jim said that he wasn’t good enough for them. /s
The Future is Bright at Ohio State
Ironically tomorrow will mark one year since Fields entered the Portal. What a year its been. Before tomorrow hits just want to say thanks to AE and Spooner, I always appreciate what you guys do for us. Here’s to a easy early signing day. I know we all are ready to go!
This is an extremely impressive haul. Not bad Coach Day. Adding Stroud would be the icing on the cake. Any chance we get Bijan or Ricks? Haha JK!!!
Has anybody seen Bob from this summer? I know he was real concerned about Defensive recruiting. I’d like to have a word with him now.
He's probably got a post all tee'd up in case Phillips flips.
Martinez seems to be handling his recruitment very maturely. Similar to Lejond after Urbz retired. I wouldn't be worried. The admiration for the program, university, and BIA is still there.
It's a beautiful day in Columbus, Ohio... and TTUN still sucks.
Pantoni said this class will be an anomaly with so many 3*s being included. I don't care what anyone says, the rankings matter. The statistics prove it. Hopefully we hit on some of these 3* offensive linemen. Even so, we're hopefully going to still finish with a top five class and the players we're taking in at the skill positions are the most highly ranked of the bunch.
"I may not be able to outsmart too many people, but I can outwork 'em." ~Woody Hayes
Top 3 class not good enough?
0th class or bust.
We're currently ranked as the 4th best class with Clemson, Alabama, and LSU ahead of us - likely the teams we would need to beat to win the CFP Championship. This class also has an average rank of 91.88. Teams with a better ranking/recruit are: Clemson, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Texas. Once again, this class is very top heavy. It could be incredible and every player in it ends up in the NFL. Maybe I've grown accustomed to Meyer bringing in classes with an average player rank of 94 or above. My point is, that this class is a smidge below what our top competitors are bringing in this cycle. And like I said before, the skill positions in this class are all highly ranked with the exception of the RB. I don't think this is a bad class, just a bit below what we've had the past two years. After we win the CFP Championship this year, I have no doubt that the 2021 class will be the best in the nation. Just chill.
I hope we do better in the future for obstacle22’s sake! I didn’t realize the good times were even over:-(
Is this a serious post or are you missing the /s???
Who wants to tell him that 91.88 is higher than 4 of the 7 Urban Meyer recruiting classes?
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
1..2...3 not it
Osu had 2 classes over a 94 rating since 2015.
spoiler alert: 5 TOTAL ( that includes all teams) classes since 2015 have been over a 94 rating.
I’m hoping that Phillips sticks and signs Thursday. I keep going to 247 and checking the crystal balls to make sure there’s no Utah predictions. So far, so good.
I think the only thing analysts can do is switch their CBs to “foggy”. They can’t flip them because he’s already a commit.
The only thing analysts CAN'T do is change the pick to foggy. Anyone who has crystal ball privileges could put in a flip pick to Utah or any other school right now if they wanted.
I’m not a big crystal ball knower guy, but based on AE comments in a previous thread I think that is exactly opposite of true. Can’t go foggy on a committed kid but can make a flip pick.
edit: the man beat me to it.
Thanks guys for the correction.
Interesting that it is still quiet about Phillips. Many said he would have a decision by tonight and then sign Thursday.
Yeah, I'm not sure how to read it. It's kind of like watching the behavior of a jury; there's a million ways to spin it in your head, but it's anybody's guess.
Greg Biggins says he hears Georgia is gaining traction for Stroud.
Biggins just posted that now there is a bunch of buzz of Stroud to UGA. Can’t make this stuff up...
Guy at Michigan 247 said people from Michigan told him it is Ohio State. What a mess.
Georgia bagmen working overtime tonight.
But seriously while this would suck we still have Miller who is severely underrated. His drop in the rankings was a joke and he has the talent.
Yep. Georgia getting gutted offense at every level. Absolutely no offensive weapons and a terrible offense in general. Kid won’t be developed there
Miller concerns be because he has been hurt a lot.
It is a concern but he had no protection from his high school line. Safe to say the oline at Ohio State will be significantly better. Also have Kyle McCord coming next year and Ryan day coaching them. I think we'll be good at the QB position.
Look, Tom Luginbil knows things about Miller that we don’t which explain rankings drop...
Seems to be a lot of skepticism in the thread
Trying to make it more suspenseful for announcement?
Georgia insider predicting Stroud to OSU but low confidence in his pick.
Biggins said he heard from a school that was recruiting stroud early that Georgia was picking up steam. My guess is Oregon is that school.
Steve Lorenz says he talked to Michigan and they said they expected it to be Ohio State:
Posted on 7 hrs, V I P, User Since 96 months ago, User Post Count: 0
Should not surprise anyone given we have never projected him to Michigan or implied any Michigan Crystal Ball predictions were coming in, but I'm told Michigan is expecting the four-star to commit to Ohio State tomorrow.
AE, what’s your final call on Stroud and Phillips?
Ohio State for Stroud and right now I got Ohio State for Phillips but should know more by tomorrow night.
Would be unfortunate if Phillips did indeed phlip to Utah
blah blah blah on the Stroud stuff
AE with the <<mic drop gif>>
Stroud committed over the weekend and people are still paranoid that he won't pick up the Buckeye hat tomorrow.
He actually didn’t.
Then does the OSU side just feel really confident, or did Stroud commit sometime today or something? Or maybe Biggins is just trying to cause some drama since the Stroud family doesn't want it to be so obvious and he usually does what families ask him to do?
I’m under the impression Ohio State has felt confident for some time despite there not being any sort of commitment.
Who said he committed over the weekend?
Well Greg Biggins deleted that thread so either Stroud committed to us after he posted it, or the info he received was wrong in some way maybe. Don’t know why else he would delete the thread or one of the Bucknuts mods would delete it.
Or maybe he was browsing through eleven warriors recruiting forums and saw that AE hit him with a “blah”
Can they catch him? No they can't, touchdown.
AE reading Stroud to Georgia rumors
Apparently some were saying in the thread that he was faking info for drama so maybe someone thought it should be deleted. None of it looked overboard to me but idk.
I’m regards to Stroud, there always has to be a second team.
Christmas is coming...
Gentlemen start your fax machines.
Guys, my cousin at the emergency room right now for a family member and Brian Hartline is also there. He had a big bandage wrapped around his fist and my cousin asked him what happened, and he told him that Julian Fleming flipped to Penn State and he punched a hole in the wall because he was so angry.
You posted this 7 minutes too late.
I posted it right after he signed on purpose haha. Wanted to make a joke about the constant chatter that he would be flipping back to Penn State. Perhaps in poor taste.

You Got Barbecue Back There!?!?!?!
Spectacular crash and burn
If Clark Phillips decides on Thursday to go to Utah, it could mean that opens the door for an offer to Columbus Walnut Ridge Cornerback/Slot Receiver Qian Magwood. Outstanding talent, high character, academic plus, wants an Ohio State offer, under-recruited player. Senior highlights and article below:
The last underrated kid out of Walnut Ridge that we got has turned out pretty good for us.
Still hoping Philips sticks around. Very good talent.
Hope we offer him regardless, that's my alma mater. I always root for kids from there.
The juice is worth the squeeze
So now just waiting on kourt, gee, Miller. Anyone I’m forgetting? Minus stroud, Martinez and Phillips
Miller just signed
Everyone in but Scott and Williams
Miyan? He was in 2 hours ago.
EDIT: Apologies ASJ - as those below have reminded me you are talking about Kourt.
Ahh gotcha. Thanks!
I was looking at the article on the main page and thought it was listing the names of those they expected to sign early...here it was a list of those who already signed. Explains why I didn't see Kourt on it...haha
Gee is in.
Our objective is simple: to make the state of Ohio proud.
LSU just had another decommit. As with all the others, he was “processed”. That’s their 5th or 6th in just the last few weeks. Hard to tell if their fans are exaggerating the “we didn’t want him anyways” narrative or their coaches really are just being massive dicks to these kids right before signing day
I'm fairly certain Coach O has admitted that they process. I believe his quote was something along the lines of "we want the best 25, not the first 25"
Well they better hope LSU maintains a top 5 program on the field then. Since even a committable offer from coach O is apparently meaningless, a lot of schools are going to use this against them next cycle
Well they better hope LSU maintains a top 5 program on the field then
I'll be stunned if Orgeron has what it takes to keep LSU near the top, and I don't care how many top five classes he signs, because he's just not a great head coach, imo. When Joe Brady leaves -- and he will -- and when LSU is back to their usual quarterback disaster, Ed Orgeron won't be able to lift them up. Enjoy it while it lasts, LSU, because it won't last forever.
When I die, sprinkle my ashes over the 70's
I mean it happens to varying degrees everywhere but it is a jerk move.
I 100% guarantee it did not sound that clear when Coach O said it. It sounded like when you play a John Lee Hooker record backwards..
Way off topic, but what happened with Justin Rogers? I thought he had a lot of love for OSU with multiple visits, then he winds up at Kentucky.
If I remember correctly, he was one that liked to play the recruiting game a little too much
I believe he wanted to play on the D-line and we wanted him on the O-line. It may have been vice versus.
*ichigan still sucks
I see him listed as a DT to Kentucky, so it must have been the former. That's just odd, considering we have a relative need at DT. Then again, maybe we just thought he was better at OG. Oh well.
Kentucky said he could play DL and he would start from day 1
Mensa Tom didn't know the camera was on
@kbohls Just saw this on LHN. Why is Coach flipping the double bird to the LHN camera here? Did he not realize the camera was on? LOL but seems like a great signing day pic.twitter.com/uKI41ltr3k

That's a keeper
Herman, he’s so classy. Looks like there are women sitting on the right side, too. Probably just missed the strippers.
Quick, someone send this to Bijan's grandparents.
I'm so glad that Ryan Day is our head coach instead of this ass clown. Tom Herman is a low-class, narcissistic, arrogant douche. If my head coach behaved like this, I would be pissed. Having a sense of maturity and decorum is so vital.
He is such a man of God.
I remember wanting him to someday come back to OSU as Urbans replacement. Man I am so happy that didn’t happen and Coach Day is here. Ones an absolute jackass that still hasn’t grown up and the other couldn’t be more professional.
Bijan's granny must be proud....
That LSU decommit is exactly what Larry Johnson was looking for. Demon Clowney is raw defensive end at 6’4 225 that he can mold like JJB. I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes after him in this second signing period.
Jadeveon's cousin and that first name for a DL...seems like it'd be worth a shot
I wonder if Vincent Smith has a cousin that Michigan can grab
Was hoping that for Brandon Watson...
From your lips to God's ears. That kid couldn't cover a bed with a sheet.
Numbers could be an issue preventing us from chasing another DE. Cooper and Hilliard already are confirmed back in 2020, and Saunders is applying for the extra year. That would move us to only 16 seniors and, assuming Stroud commits and Phillips stays committed, 26 signees. We are at 84 scholarships on the current roster, so we need 9 departures as is from draft/transfer and that number already includes Pryor and White. Okudah/Young/Dobbins are the obvious 3, but still need 6 more.
Edit: Forgot about Siebert's gray shirt, so 5 more, 4 if Wade declares as well.
White already announced his transfer, so there's another one. I honestly don't think it'll be an issue getting to the right number.
I included White in my number, we need 8 draft declarations/transfers assuming everyone signs. 4 draft declarations seem likely, with Wyatt Davis as a potential 5th.
While I don't think it will be an issue getting to the number, if there aren't some kids who have silently expressed their desire to transfer it's tough to take another guy.
I would be surprised if Saunders stays another year.
For whatever reason we never really went after Demon all the months leading up to today
Baylor has recreated all of their recruits commitment videos using muppets for absolutely no reason

Baylor has recreated all of their recruits commitment videos using muppets for absolutely no reason because that is awesome.
Just went to their twitter page and watched a few more. Those are awesome and hilarious
Those players better get to keep those puppets. That’s just funny lol
Bijan Robinson was the only Texas commit listed as unsigned on the ESPN screen...hmmmmm
OSUCOM 2008 Graduate. Go Bucks!
If he doesn't sign soon we will be at Part 90 in no time
We are redistributing helmet stickers so everyone has the same amount?
As they say at OU, "OK, Boomer".
Except I'm not a boomer
I assume you're a Buckeye.
Just realized the "XX" on the XXclusive signing videos is roman numerals for 20. Class of 2020. Am I slow this morning or what?
slow? not sure, but definitely redundant.
Touche! No idea how that posted twice.
I'm going to Google "XXXclusive videos" to get a preview of 2030
I've watched a lot of film on the 2030 XXXclusive class. A lot of talent.
Comment of the year.
now that is funny.
Is that site run by the president of MENSA???
So we are waiting on Kourt - any concerns there or just a wait?
And Stroud in 90 minutes (which I am sweating about).
And that's it for today's action until AE drops in cryptic messages tonight about Phillips....
No concerns on Kourt...time zone is a factor, still early in his neck of the woods.
I think I saw on another board that he has it scheduled around the same time as Stroud.
And on fourth and one... would you believe?
Williams is in, all good there
Really wanted to see Ricks flip. Such a waste of a good gif....
Put Rakim Jarrett's face on instead please.
We have company....
If Arizona State adds Bunkley-Shelton and Elijah Badger to their receiver class it will be right up there with Ohio State's as the best in the country.
— Clint Brewster (@clintbrew247) December 18, 2019
At first I was like "no way" but then I went and looked for myself. Hard to argue:
Because I couldn't go for 3.
thought he had a curly mullet until I realized that they were trees behind his head.
Umm, not so much.
Our WRs ranking are #1, #5, #12, and #15
Theirs would be #16, #23, #37, #60, and #290
Their best is lower than our worst....
If you want to say anyone is close to our class it would be LSU
They have #2, #6, #8, and #50
Not #2 any more!
I once played touch football and scored a touchdown
So they will have two 5*'s and two high 4*'s including the number 1 overall player in one of the rankings? Find our WR class pretty hard to match.
Side note, but Clint is full of bad takes
Michigan has to be in it more than people think for CJ Stroud, right? Only school in his top 3 without a QB already committed. Fits perfectly at Michigan
— Clint Brewster (@clintbrew247) December 17, 2019
The offseason is the longest season.
Fits perfectly at Michigan
CJ Stroud should be insulted by such an accusation.
Is that guy a troll? These takes can't be serious..
I don't know CJ personally, but I am going to assume he hasn't accepted losing and therefore does not fit perfectly up north.
This was so bad even Tom Loy told him to chill lol seriously... it was the first comment.
Cool story clint...
It will be interesting if they miss on Stroud (not saying they will) where they go for another QB. Will they seek the portal or will they double up in 2021.
Make another pitch to de Laura I assume.
Think you’d have to look portal. I don’t like the thought of only Miller as a true Fr being Fields’ backup then a RS Fr and 2 true Fr competing o take the keys in 2021.
It will be interesting if they miss on Stroud
Kourt is officially in the fold.
Kourt is in.
Everyone is in aside from Stroud, Phillips, and Martinez. About as uneventful as a signing day can be, considering the drama already occurred over the past few days. Here's hoping Stroud is in too - tune in to ESPNU in an hour.
Pick up your feet, turn your corners square! And DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!!!
With what this class was heading into today uneventful is a great thing. Stroud will be an amazing get. Phillips hasn't had a crystal ball switch yet so still hopeful there as well.
Off topic but, I always knew ESPN was bad at covering recruiting, but then I saw that they have EJ Smith listed as the 13th best WIDE RECEIVER in the class. What the actual ___.
If Ann Arbor is a whore, what's Harbaugh for going back to her?
Ej is more of a slot receiver than a running back so that’s why they listed him there. Should be classified as an athlete if they had that classification.
OT but Rakim Jarrett flipped from LSU and signed with Maryland
I tried bum juice once, it was bitterly disappointing.
There has to be a good story there.
What a waste of is talent.
I'm honestly glad we got out of his recruitment. Talented but seems like drama drama drama.
Crazy. I don’t think anyone saw that coming
Have we always been a dynasty ?
I could watch Denzel Ward do Football Crimes to WRs all day...
One of the best hits and worst targeting calls I have ever seen.
BBQ does sound good for lunch today. Hope Denzel invites me...
O/U on the number of times he plays against us. I'm going with 0.5.
Hell, that's 3 times in as many years that Maryland has beat Texas. Ouch!
I actually doubt Locksley a lot.
Enormous flip for Maryland. Rakim Jarrett is the No. 2 WRand No. 20 player in the country. Never doubt Mike Locksley's ability to pull a rabbit on signing day. Reminiscent of Stefon Diggs' recruitment. #Terpshttps://t.co/fr1hh5Acb1
— Jeff Ermann (@Jeff_Ermann) December 18, 2019
Never doubt Mike Locksley's ability to pull a rabbit on signing day
This flip says more about Rakim than it does about "Locksley's ability to pull a rabbit on signing day"
If he's there at Maryland all 3-4 years I'll be shocked.
I was think the same thing
I was noticing the same thing about Bijan. Can you even imagine? The server on 11 would explode
If this were to happen, I'd become a 12th Warrior to help restore order for the masses.
It seems crazy to read into it but I really want to read into this.
Came here to say this too. Come to the Dayman!
Finally an LSU decommitment that their fans and insiders can’t pretend was a processing
Ej Smith to Stanford
He will do well there. Smart kid.
That would be the school that any smart parent would send him. Big brain move. Dad learned the right things in life.
Good for him. That's great.
Can’t ever question a kid going to Stanford.
What ever happened to the Justin Flowe talk? Wasn’t he showing some Ohio St interest?
A visit never materialized
Clemson was the huge favorite and the OSU interest was never real just Stroud trying to get him to visit. He then recorded a video saying F*** Clemson and is now down to either USC or Oregon, Oregon seems the favorite but it isn't clear. IMO Oregon seems like the much better choice than USC with a lame duck coach.
Well he turned down Clemson for Utah or Oregon or USC. Going to
Rak to Maryland is amazing. Hurts LSU while giving Maryland a really good player. Maryland's class is at 27 and OSU jumped LSU to 3(LSU will probably jump us back) This is exactly what the B1G needs Maryland/Rutgers to be. If Maryland could play at a level similar to these recruiting rankings it would be awesome. Instead of being trash they would be a solid program that takes talent away from SEC/ACC schools and has no effect on the rest of the B1G in recruiting.
This is one of the best years the B1G has ever had in recruiting. The top 8 schools are all in the top 30. Minnesota and Northwestern in the top 40. MSU at 42 despite the hot seat. Indiana at 49 despite being Indiana. Rutgers is at 60 with just 16 commits and a brand new coach, they have also risen over 40 spots from outside the top 100 when Schiano took over.
Rusty Mansell a couple hours ago seemed like he was close to CBing Stroud to Georgia but he just had an update a few minutes ago that he is sticking with OSU
Rusty is actually really good at his job, but he is a Georgia fan. Dude is quite homerish and thinks UGA is getting everyone if you read the tone in his columns. Pretty much sums up their fanbase.
Thankfully the stress will be gone in like 20 minutes.
Nebraska has had a pretty good day. Got about 4 commitments so far.
#17 overall right now and a really good place for them to be in. They should have the second best skill group in the B1G next year.
I'll guess that their class will be better than *ichigan's.
Funny all this scuttle about Georgia and Stroud yet no one changed their picks.
So far same goes for Phillips and Utah.
With Rakim Jarrett flipping to Maryland, we have now jumped LSU to be the #3 ranked class (for now, at least).
Wiltfong just said he likes OSU for Stroud unless something changed late last night. But he is going with OSU
Hat science looks good for us.
Not in the middle? lol
I was about to post the same thing. Ohio State is not on either far side nor in the center. It is also the only flat hat, and it looks brand new.
Youngsters don't like the curve brims...
I saw that too. Only flat billed hat on the table, plus good position.
Looking around other boards and a lot of rumors LSU RB CLyde-Edwards Ellaire tore his hamstring and is done for the playoffs. Back up RB Chris Curry has 22 carries on the year. Yeah I know its not recruiting but wanted to post it and not worth its own forum until confirmed
That's a huge blow to their offense if true, he's probably the 2nd most important piece on that side.
That's unfortunate. If true, hopefully he gets back healthy sooner than later.
A real man makes his own luck.
-Billy Zane in Titanic
The fact that stroud is the #10 PP QB is absolutely nuts and shows how much of a joke they are at recruiting. He’s number 2 in the composite I believe.
RE: Stroud - why wouldnt he would to play with this class of receivers? It may be the best group in the country.
Not sure why that double posted. Sorry boys.
The hats are on the table ahead of four-star quarterback CJ Strouds announcement. Any hat theorists out there? https://t.co/1xa7FCYEOl pic.twitter.com/BQ3otjHgJz
— Blair Angulo (@bangulo) December 18, 2019
OSU hat is the only one that was prepped to be a flat bill. Georgia also the middle hat. Lock it up.
Here we go
Cant watch.... boom or no boom?
EAT SHIT GEORGIA
O - H
Stroud is a Buckeye!
Clark Phillips III you're officially on the clock. Make the right decision and finish this class off with a bang.
PS. Not worried about Cam Martinez. He'll be all in once Day makes his hire.
That banner tells me Stroud’s commitment was never actually in doubt
Boy...Georgia 247 folks sure had their followers believing.
With CJ Stroud's commitment, and assuming that Clark Phillips II and Cam Martinez both end up committing, Ohio State's 2020 class will finish with just over 300 total points (300.71) and just over a 92 player average (92.04) in the 247 Composite Rankings.
Not bad for Ryan Day's first full class. Not bad at all.
Any class over 300 ill take.
But all those 3 stars...
More worried about Phillips than Martinez. Confident we close on Martinez when we have a new coach announced.
Watching ESPNU today just reminds me more why I don’t watch ESPN anymore. Especially because of Tom Luginbill. Cant stand him.
But he KNOWS...
BOOOOM Hat science is right again.
Can’t argue with science...well hat science anyway...
OSU is at 8 top 100 players, the rest of the B1G combined is at 6
CJ Stroud had said he wouldn't enroll early if he goes to a school he wont be competing to start his freshman year(OSU) but Birm tweeted he will be enrolling early
To be fair, he'll be competing to start, he just won't actually start..
This guy used to work @ TTUN
I got you.
I spent nearly 3 years working at Michigan...

I spent nearly 3 years working at Michigan...
After spending 12 hours inside OSU yesterday I have one thought...
Michigan is way behind.

Why was he at OSU?
Would be hilarious after stealing their two best assistants Ryan Day took their social media guy.
What’s the story here? Who is this guy?
Mattison & Washington approve this message.
Great to get CJ into the fold. Our QB situation is looking much better. Would really like to start the 2021 season with Miller, Stroud and McCord.
What is the latest on Phillips?
Never doubt hat science. Never.
It’s just straight fact. It’s not debatable...
Getting Stroud is huge. It means in 2021 when Fields is gone, either Stroud or Miller will be ready to play. Unfortunately it also means the loser is likely to transfer that year or the following year...
So, its possible OSU is in the same situation again NEXT year...needing two more qb's. I just don't know how you ever solve this issue, unless you take a lesser prospect.
Don't forget about Kyle McCord. He's gonna come in and battle for the spot too.
The battle in 21 will be Miller, Stroud, and McCord.
Man I would loooooove to have Bijan here.
But imagine if he spurned Herman in favor of staying home. ASU is looking way more attractive now than this time last year.
I’ve been saying that asu is extremely attractive as they could be the best team in the PAC soon. LV is extremely talented, wish we would’ve had room for him.
I believe ASU also got Corey Wren and Johnny Wilson. Pretty decent WR haul for sure.
Asu I think can be a legit playoff contender every couple years. Would make more sense if Phillips was considering asu rather than Utah. Would also make way more sense to Bijan sense these kids apparently want to be the one to build the program lol
What is going on with him? I popped into his twitter for the first time basically ever and a ctrl-f 'Texas' got me a 0/0. Don't know if he has kept it clean of school affiliation this whole time or he scrubbed it. Still, he is the only player in Texas's class that hasn't signed. Their boards say he is waiting for a ceremony this afternoon but Ransom signed already.
Honestly, a pretty big flex by both Stroud and Miller. No fear of competition, just throwing down and trusting their abilities. Love the spirit shown by both guys.
Best case, this winds up being Burrow vs. Haskins - a choice any coach would love to have.
I know we're in #F*ckClemson mode, but respect to Dabo for telling top 5 Justin Flowe "no" instead of processing Kevin Swint out. Saban and Coach O would have processed Swint out for Flowe in a heartbeat.
Agreed. I think this LSU staff is honestly pretty despicable for processing this many kids so close to signing day. It will probably hurt them in the next few years too. Every other school will use that to negatively recruit against them.
Haven't heard about what you're talking about but it sounds like Clemson people rationalizing.
I don't think this is true. After Flowe sort of told them no they went and got 5 star Trenton Simpson. They lost out on Flowe I don't think they could have gotten him if they wanted.
Classy move. But I refuse to recognize until after the Fiesta bowl. #hateclemson
That makes no sense..they literally just got another guy at his position.
Ryan Day the goat....and yes I pee on ttun all the time.
The Utah Rivals people are saying OSU made a late push for Phillips but that it wasn't enough and he'll be picking Utah tomorrow.
Oh well....hate to lose Phillips as he is really good, but what can you do.
If so ask the cowards where their Crystal ball flips are then
Honesty I don’t think it’s that big a deal if he goes to Utah. Get that Ohio DB and move on. Maybe shift Cam to slot CB. It will certainly help with recruiting CBs next year. If we get Coombs... I can see a monster DB class coming in for 2021.
Well that sucks for him more then it does us.
Dont buy it they're selling clicks.
Heres what I do not get: If Phillips really is torn between the two and hes concerned about Hafley leaving, then why not do what Martinez is doing and wait to see who OSU is going to hire? This is either to drum up drama for the announcement or has been gone the moment Hafley left.
He's enrolling early at whichever school he picks. Doesn't have the luxury of waiting until February.
Why does he HAVE to enroll early? He cant chill at home for a few months and workout on his own?
If he wants to miss out on training in a collegiate S&C program and getting to learn a playbook, sure.
Losing a few months to make sure you are doing your due diligence and making the correct massive life decision seems like a fair trade to me.
He's an EE
Buckeye...Born & Bred
Really sucks he was the perfect fit in our defense at the nickel corner position Shaun Wade plays. Big position of need because the bums last year couldn't pull a single corner and there will be 2 guys to leave early. If he was 3 inches taller he would be in the conversation for #1 corner in the class. Very important that Watts and Lej work out or our secondary could be in dire shape in a couple years.
Not saying to panic by any means but our depth is poor at CB for next year and we have to now have 3 guys who can play each year. 0 last year and 2 this year isn't enough and thats if both guys end up being good.
I’ll believe it if I start seeing Crystal balls to Utah.
Yeah. I'm going to trust Utah's Rivals guys before I trust our guys. I still think he's a Buckeye until BG, AE, Birm, or Givler tell me otherwise.
This, our guys haven't given us bad information yet so I'll wait til they until they start dropping the hammers on us.
PS. Can we start to claim RIU(Recruiting Insider University) cause we have the best.
Honest question: How do they know that? If Phillips told them that, than why havent there been any CB flips?
I'm not saying the Utah insiders are wrong, but I haven't seen any FutureCast predictions flipped to Utah, or any CBs to Utah on 24/7. Maybe they're still waiting? Not sure. This is an odd situation.
I'm just posting what someone else posted from a screenshot on Rivals. No idea the context or anything, but its out there....
Not sure on the crystal balls. My guess is maybe they just don't care to do them?
A quote from AE about Stroud but relevant to Phillip's situation:
Rule #79 of following this stuff: When you have a handful of people saying "hey it really might be Georgia here so stay tuned" while never officially changing their stance or their pick, it's almost always a traffic generation ploy.
No CB's have been flipped. Im feeling this is a similar situation. Its freaking Utah, they are driving up traffic while they can. Cant have a huge fan base.
Not sure if anyone is watching BTN, but they just showed Phillips highlights while discussing OSU class...
36-24-36? Ha ha, only if she's 5'3"
I’m not sure what time it is, but Xichigan still sucks
Clark Phillips wiped his insta of basically everything OSU. Removed committ from his bio and only pics left are from an OSU visit a while ago.
Clark Phillips took “Ohio State commit” off his social media.
We are still ballin out! RIP to Phillips potential playoff dreams...
Uhh no? I still see it saying
Blessed beyond measure. HS Chapter of #21 is complete. Ohio State Buckeye Commit.
At least that is on Twitter. Maybe he hasn't gotten there yet I guess.
They are talking about his insta. His twitter still says it
Realized that after posting. Ugh too many social media thing out there.
Hes either adding intrigue for tomorrow or he gone.
Justin Flowe to Oregon. They will have Justin Flowe and another 5 star LB in Noah Sewell playing behind Kayvon Thibaduex. Scary front 7 we will be seeing the next couple years.
Talented yes, but at least next year 2 true freshman LBs for Ryan Day and Justin Fields to torch.
Good get for them. They might want to get some DBs to cover the WRs we are bringing in
Not really concerned about next year. I saw an Alabama front 7 start 4 true freshman this year with a better coach and system and it didnt work out at all. 2 years from now they'll be dangerous though.
You know how to beat a front 7 like that? Punch them in the mouth and pound a 230lb RB straight up the gut. Then bring that 230 lbs QB off tackle over and over and over. Just ups our quality of victory. Beating other conferences champions is Ryan Days new favorite hobby.
So with all the Clark Phillips stuff going on.
Any of our experts have any info on https://247sports.com/Player/Qian-Magwood-46057814/
Been seeing his name rumored out there as a possible late pick up. Obviously not nearly as highly rated or anything and many will look at the 3* and write him off.
Watched him play on tv this year. Dude is really good.
Far from an expert but watched him play a few times. Was always the best player on the field imo ( wasn't major competition though). Played WR/DB and returned kicks. Very quick, looked to have plenty of speed. Overall pretty good athlete. Decent size. Don't think he really did the whole " camp circuit" much. Personally think the kid has some good skills to work with. Have a feeling an OSU offer would also mean alot to him.
Guys, you’re all being insensitive. Clearly Phillips is going to win the Heisman at Utah...they’ve already made it clear his impact with reverberate through generations of Ute athletes. I already have money on it.
