The transformation from today to September will be remarkable. Well, it’ll be like every other season, so I guess “remarkably predictable” is the right phrase. Once Chase Young declares, they’ll swear it puts them on top.
They'll say they ran Chase off, just like they said they scared Urban away. Classic Skunk Weasel mantra..."wait till next year".
I am still extremely livid about the many TTUN fans saying Harbaugh would cause Coach Meyer to have "another heart attack". Such a statement is arrogant, classless and false. And all that came after we had owned them this century. Now, a 7-0 Meyer and 1-0 Day later, there are still TTUN fans running their mouths. I find this incredible.
"The minute we stop expecting greatness, we become Wisconsin."
So as I've mentioned on multiple posts before, I work in Detroit so i'm surrounded by these paint lickers all day, five days a week. I shit you not, on Monday I had a coworker come up to me and tell me that the Buckeyes were far and away the better team... immediately followed by how we got all the lucky bounces and that "Next year the streak ends"...
You can't make this shit up, their brains can't begin to fathom the dominance no matter how much evidence you provide.
I listen to this podcast after every TTUN loss because he is downtrodden and crushed. However, I really like him and he is an honest dude that points out reality.
"Indecision may (or may not) be my downfall."
I actually don’t mind this guy, he’s pretty rational most of the time. I’m not mad that’s as a fan he looks for reasons to believe in his team, he’s supposed to do that.
"Because I couldn't go for three"
I agree. I know part of the rivalry is lumping all of their fans into one giant group, but this guys isn't like those idiots on MGo. He's generally pretty fair, and he's a smart guy so he actually does do a really good job for the most part.
Yaaaay he released it! I know what I’m listening to at work tomorrow!
I swear he looks just like the guy managing the paint department at the Home Depot up here.
Fields of Dreams
He's pretty rational but I did not know he went to MSU. That is hilarious. Imagine someone a big OSU fan running a blog that went to Michigan.
I thought he had a UM diploma on his desk.
"doctorate of wolverine football"..
I think that's a goof??
Yes, and Hairball signed it, so it can't mean much.
"You don't win when you're too damned happy, and I like to win"--Woody Hayes
I was really hoping for misery, not honesty. Oh well, can’t get everything in life...although I have been lately!
He did a video Sunday morning for his SI affiliated site (Wolverine something, I can't remember, since I've been immersed in Pisshelmet misery since the second the game ended) and it was utter resignation. He look crushed. Today, he just seemed pissed.
Who is a Michigan Man?
Was Bo Schembechler a Michigan Man? Bo was from Barberton. Barberton is in Ohio.
Michigan fans need to cleave their minds from the myth of Bo Schembechler.
Whatever glory they feel was inaugurated in November 1969 was borne of sedition.
Bo was a traitor unto Woody and Ohio.
Ohio ain't Michigan.
If they want a Michigan Man, they need to find one from the state of Michigan.
As for 1969, like Bo, that fantasy is dead and buried, now. Ohio State buried that fantasy, last Saturday in Ann Arbor...in Michigan Stadium.
TBDSNITL: The best damn screen name in the land!
We can't stop here; this is bat country...
Any time I feel even a tiny amount of pity for that fanbase, I read a few minutes of this miserable drivel and remember that I hate every damn one of them.
Johnny needs to add a threat level below low titled "Rock Bottom - Michigan Men perseverating about online classes."
It's kind of refreshing to listen to this after reading so much rambling crap from their "fans" the last few days.
He breaks down a lot of reasons why Michigan is what it is right now. It continues to be painful to see fans do the "if we fire him who do we get that's better" dance.
It's pretty crazy how luck has aided us over the past two decades. Just look at next year. We're going to lose pretty much our entire defense and for the first time in a long time don't have a pass rusher coming back that is a top 5 pick ( not even a first round pick at this point).. but we get them at home. Seems like we are always reloading when they come to the shoe and always loaded when we go up there...
Zach Harrison would politely disagree.
High and tight boo boo
Full disclosure, I subscribed to his channel this week in anticipation of this very podcast. Particularly, in leiu of last week's show. You can tell he's a good dude, pretty smart football guy. He just picked the wrong team to root for.
Pretty reasonable perspective with logical, informed takes. Recommended listening.
AKA the Horseshoe, the Shoe, and the House That Harley Built
Dude delivered a serious butt kicking to michigan excuses.
Maybe their second biggest butt kicking of the week so far...
This was such a satisfying 54 minutes. I wanted it to keep going.
Interesting statement near the end talking about Harbaughs wife going after a reporter in his post game press conference. Anyone know about this?
Because I couldn't go for 3.
That really caught my attention as well, considering that we didn't hear about it at all during the week. If what the dude on the phone in the podcast says is true about the vibe in the press conference, that is of extreme interest!
Number 1 rule in life: always beat That Team Up North.
All hope is lost:
The Browns are back in contention for being the worst franchise in all of professional sport.
"The most important statistic, is the number of wins in a season".........Woody Hayes
Even Bo knew what it was about: "The team, the team, the team... Up North."
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
