I would like to play Minnesota as well. If they go into Wisconsin and beat the badgers, they deserve to be in the B1G Championship game. I think we will beat whichever team makes it handily.
You Got Barbecue Back There!?!?!?!
Game's in Minneapolis. If it was in Camp Randall, I'd think Wisky pulls it out.
Tom Brady lost to John Cooper. Never forget.
Game's in Minneapolis
Wiscy's kicker better be ready:
Shandy is not beer
i'd rather play wisconsin because if we take care of ttun on saturday, with a wisconsin win we lock up the playoffs regardless of what happens in the b1gcg. i don't think there's much of a chance of a loss to wisc or minn, but there's a chance we get left out if the unthinkable happens against minn; no chance of that with wisc since they have lost 2.
the kids are playing their tail off, and the coaches are screwing it up! - JLS
This is the correct answer.
+1 I didn't think about that, I got so wrapped up in worrying about rematch games not going well for the winner of the 1st game and rooting for Minnesota to win. It didn't occur to me that as long as we didn't get the dog shit kicked out of us we should still be good for the playoff.
This is a great point and something I had not considered.
Edit: Ignore this post. I typed out a devil's advocate reply thinking Wisconsin only had 1 loss, you're completely right. For some reason I keep forgetting about the Illinois loss. I'm sure Wisconsin wishes they could too.
Let's go beat TTUN into the mud and then I might be able to think more clearly!
On the other hand, neither Minnesota nor Wisconsin has any shot in hell of beating us in Indy.
We would beat a team made up of the best players from both rosters by 3 TDs.
I would like to see Minnesota win. I haven't watched Minnesota play, this year, except the second half against Penn State. I have no idea who will win.
Heart - Minnesota, head - Wisconsin.
Hindsight is, and in, 2020
Minnesota winning would be fun, but I expect Wisky to win. 28-20 Badgers.
Fields of Dreams
Fleck seems like a good dude and I love how he carries on and respects Tressel so much - especially by rocking the tie. Would love to face them as I think they bring more of a pass heavy attack similar to who we would face in the CFB Playoff. And they got some future NFL WRs. I do think we would win and I believe they would help us prepare more for what to expect beyond that game. Wisconsin...been there, defeated that.
Doesn't he refer to clock management as "Tresselball"? He might be my second favorite coach, after Day.
i believe he does
I’m going with Minnesota - would like to see someone different.
Who I think wins? Minnesota.
Who OSU SHOULD be rooting for? Without a doubt, 1000%, Wisconsin. As stated above, a Minnesota loss against Wisconsin eliminates the entire Big Ten from the playoffs. If Minnesota won out, they would potentially steal a bid.
No doubt we want to root for Wisconsin. Not even a question.
Agreed. Wisconsin is better for our purposes because a loss is pretty easily overcome by showing we killed them earlier in the year
Seeing that we are in the Big Ten, I'm not able to compute why you would advocate for the elimination of the entire conference from the playoffs. Do you mean *except OSU*? Cause I don't think a Wisconsin victory eliminates the entire conference.
I want Minnesota to win. Can they beat Wisconsin? If they contain Taylor they win. I'm rowing with the Gophers.
I would want the Buckeyes to play Minny. Personally I feel like win or lose they should be in Indy. It should be a stipulation that if you've already lost to the other division winner and you do not win outright, the other team goes.
Beating any team twice is hard, that also scares me away from playing Wisky.
I realistically think Wisky beats Minnesota and badly. Wisky 42- minnysoda-7
Rooting for Minny. It does very little for the resume to beat the same team twice, but beating a third straight top ten opponent in a neutral (wink wink Buckeye Nation) environment would be impressive. I seriously have no idea who wins Saturday but it will be interesting.
I think Wisconsin wins and that's who I'd rather the Buckeyes face in the B1G title game.
I hope _innesota wins. I have a friend who is a big Gopher fan, and I know he wouldn't be happy if _innesota fell apart in their last ga_e after leading the West pretty _uch the entire year
That's a Buckeye touchdown!
Minnesota. I don't want to play somebody we've already played. It will look better to beat a team coming in at 11-1 than 10-2 that we already beat by 31.
Haters gonna hate and Bert is gonna Bert.
Wisconsin. Minnesota's WR's are a handful.
Wisconsin...on fast track in a dome? OSU would win going away.
Stay golden, Ponyboy.
I want Minnesota but I think Wisky wins
I want whichever team has the most title game tickets already purchased by their fan base to lose, dontchaknow? Put them shits on the secondary market already, bitches!
Double edged sword there. Would assume more Wisconsin fans have tix currently than Minnesota. However, if Minn wins, their fans are going to go nuts and prices will soar.
I think Wisconsin wins, does not matter much to me who makes it. OSU should be a strong favorite either way.
I think Minnesota is better. Minny's WRs are for real, nothing Wisky is going to do when they have the ball scares me. For terms of resume, I would rather Minnesota win to add another top 15 team to our resume. But I think we've got a better shot at putting up an eye opening spread against Wisconsin.
I thought Penn State was going to beat Minnesota and was wrong there. I feel like Wisconsin should win, but I'd rather have OSU face Minnesota just for a different opponent in the B1G Championship game.
Definitely hope Minnesota wins, for multiple reasons. First, I don't think we're going to lose to either team, regardless of how threatening Minnesota's passing game is. If Minnesota beats Wisky, it gives us the opportunity for a top-ten win that could bolster our resume so that we don't have to face Clemson in the first round of the playoffs. Moreover, Minnesota's passing game with big, physical receivers is a better tune-up for the playoffs, with both Clemson and LSU having vaunted passing offenses. I'd rather get tested beforehand, because, as I said, we're not losing to Minnesota.
Boat rowers will be more interesting to watch...seen enough this year of Wiscy. Will also make the ttun loss to Wiscy seem worse...BIG power rankings would then be osu, mn, psu, wiscy, and then ttun...positioning them for a crappy bowl game.
Justice delayed is justice denied....#FTP
Minnesota would be tougher to beat in Indy than Wisconsin.
Minny wins Saturday, but I'd rather Wisky win.
I won't give one rat fuck whether the Buckeyes play Wisconsin, Minnesota, or the Pittsburgh Steelers in the B1G title game if they fail on Saturday. There is so much riding on this game... Ryan Day's entire career trajectory will be at least temporarily altered by his team's success or failure on Saturday, and while getting to the playoff is still possible, or even probable, if OSU were to lose, getting there won't mean one-millionth as much without a win Vs That Team. Everything, EVERYTHING, moving forward will be based on what happens this coming Saturday, and the Ryan Day doubters are starting to show themselves nationally with predictions of doom... I hope Day shoves Desmond Howard's words so far down his throat that Howard shits consonants and vowels until the Super Bowl.
When I die, sprinkle my ashes over the 70's
Howard shits consonants and vowels until the Super Bowl
That I would love to see! ( I was going to say I could get behind that, but...)
We are 10 - 1 in the last 11 games vs whisky - They do one thing (run) and do it well. They don't have a passing game that scares me. It'd personally like to play whisky again because I know who will win.
I am going to the game and playing minny would be fun but they bring a passing game that's a lot more challenging than whisky.
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Seattle Sounders 2019 MLS Champions
Minnesota. A new ass to kick.
Wisconsin seems like the more attainable win, but I just see no plus side of playing them twice (bad things usually happen). I'll appreciate the diversity of our opponents more with a win over the Gophers.
I think this game is basically a tossup. On paper, Wisconsin is the better team, but Minnesota has all the momentum right now, and they'll have home field advantage. I'm rooting for Minnesota.
On a side note, should Wisconsin win, would this be the first time in Buckeye Football history that we've played the same team twice in one season?
They played UCLA twice in the same season in 75 season, once in regular season, and on jan 1st in the rose bowl. That's not all, early in the 76 season, they played them again, so 3x in 12 months. their record for 1 neutral game, 1 @ucla, 1@OSU? 1-1-1

Want = Minnesota
Think = Wisconsin
I'm very confident Minnesota wins on Saturday. That is also who I want to face in the B1G Championship.

Would rather see Minnesota win, just because rematches are lame. I think Wisconsin will probably win though.
Minnesota for sure. Why? Because I believe their style of offense would give us great preparation for the CFP. It would also give us another top 10 win, essentially locking up the #1 seed for us. But first thing's first: Beat TUN--soundly.
Our objective is simple: to make the state of Ohio proud.
