The Spartans and Wolverines are set to butt heads
This is much better.

Despite the cfb playoff committee's rankings, I wouldnt be surprised to see Georgia lose. If Nix plays a low turnover game for Auburn, I can easily see Kirby Smart coaching his team to a loss, despite a talent loaded roster.
I honestly hope they don't lose to Auburn. They definitely can. But if Auburn beats Georgia, then all of a sudden Alabama (if they win the Iron Bowl) will be beating a "top ten" Auburn with only 2 losses sliding them right into the #4 slot. On the other hand, if Georgia beats Auburn, then loses to LSU in the SEC Championship, then Alabamas best win will be a 4 loss Auburn (again, if they win the Iron Bowl). Auburn beating Georgia, while we would all be happy on the surface, is not going to help the 2 SEC teams in the final four scenario.
That's an interesting way to look at it. But I also think, as the writer alluded, that Auburn is in a unique position to throw a wrench into anyone's "2 SEC playoff teams" plans. They have a good enough defense to cause GA problems for sure. And don't count a win for Bama just yet in the Iron Bowl - the Tigers host that game.
Strange things tend to happen when Bama plays @Auburn. It's entirely possible to see GA and Bama both lose. That to me would be great fun to watch.

So what you are saying is they are all such great teams the final college rankings could be:
Yep. If Auburn wins tomorrow, which I actually hope they do, then you have to root for LSU to win out and boat race UGa into oblivion. At that point UGa will already be out of the top 4. I personally think it'd be disappointing to see UGa get into the playoffs after such an awful loss. I'm frankly more ok with Bama getting in, but honestly, as long as LSU and the Pac12 top 2 keep winning I think Bama is out.
I can easily see Kirby Smart coaching his team to a loss, despite a talent loaded roster.
I have to admit, that made me laugh. It wouldn’t be the first time that Notso Smart pissed away game.

I hope GA destroyed Auburn. I have no ill feelings towards Auburn, I just don't want the committee to have a reason to sneak Alabama in at 4. Their schedule is a joke.
"Because I couldn't go for three."
We were posting the same thing at the same time haha. See above.
If GA beats Auburn it will deflate a possible Bama win in the Iron Bowl. Georgia will probably have another loss to LSU in the champ game. A 2 loss, non champion Georgia team should miss the playoffs if OSU, Clemson, LSU, Oregon/Utah or Baylor/OK win out. Anything that will keep another SEC team out would be good.

I wouldn't mind whipping 2 sec teams in the playoff.
I dropped below 50% for the first time this year. Been on some a serious downturn the last few weeks. Let's see what thIS weeks game Have up their sleeve. Well, either that, or I'll flip a coin. OSU should easily cover, on the other end, IA State will cover and may win outright against overrated TX. A perfect 10-0 next week would help. Time to get serious, “What I do is I just try to take my hat and I turn it around, and it's like a switch that goes on."

With an over/under of 61 points, Vegas's implied total is for Ohio State to win by a score of 57-4. Do the Scarlet Knights put up any points whatsoever Saturday afternoon?
I would bet my house that they do not score 4!

Man, Wertheim is just going down with that ship. I understood earlier in the season, when he kept picking against the Bucks to cover some pretty large spreads. But he keeps losing that bet and just sticking with it.
But this week, taking Rutgers to keep it within 50?
Wertheim's acting like a pitcher who won't change his underwear while he's on a winning streak. I appreciate his willingness to let his overall percentage drop by staying consistent, picking the other guys, and not jinxing us.
It’s a complete reversal from last year for the Buckeyes. I believe they’re now 8-1 ATS.
I believe they’re now 8-1 ATS.
And they're leading the nation in beating the spread, on average by about 18 points. The next closest team is Navy at +14 points.
I've found this guys site particularly useful, Andy. Not sure if you've seen it. He has every team's record ATS (overall, home and away), and also had complete stats breakdowns for all the teams.
This is super helpful and much-appreciated. I've been looking for a good resource on ATS trends - thanks Navy!
I would love to see Georgia, LSU, Clemson & Notre Dame lose. Oklahoma also. If 2 upsets it would be fun to see.
I want to see Baylor pummel Oklahoma. I have no affinity for Baylor, I just love it when Oklahoma loses.

I hope Indiana, MSU, Minnesota, Baylor, Navy, Ole Miss and of course Ohio State wins. Not sure about Auburn and UGA. Clemson needs to win so we can beat them in the playoffs.
If Ohio State, Baylor, Clemson and LSU stay undefeated, there should be only one SEC team in the playoffs. Baylor's a long shot but who knows. Then maybe Minnesota can beat Bama in a NY6 bowl game. Perfect set up IMO.
Go Buckeyes! Silence the cannon!
Last week: 5-1: Ohio State; Minny; Baylor; K State (covered); ISU (covered). Loss - Wisky (did not cover)
Overall: 25-12 % 0.675
This week: OSU; Indy; UGA; Minny; Baylor; MSU; UF

Watching Big Ten Network--Fricken Harbaugh is still GOOFY-- horrible interview--guy is such a dork--how in the hell does any recruit want to play for that doofus?
"MUST BE THE MONEY"--to the players that they don't report. GO BUCKS!! Let the D run wild on them and crush SP!!
I'm focused on the continuing success of Ramzy and Vance against the spread.
Wow! 64% and 65%. That's no slouch.
So what do they do differently? Contrarians? Well... this week they both picked:
Indiana and 13.5 points against Penn State, with most going with Penn State
Michigan State and 14 points over Michigan, with most going with Michigan
Wake Forrest and 32.5 points over Clemson, in spite of WF's star WR injured and out.
We'll find out in 2 days.

This is all training for my future career as a professional sports bettor.
So far your training has proven to be Excellent.
My logic on that would be, Indiana has had a decent offense, and 14 pts is a lot in a conference game in November.
In the toilet bowl up north, it's a rivalry game, 14 pts is again a big number, would bet most of the past 10 matchups have been 10 or less, just going with the numbers (in my head).
Not sure I'd follow on Clemson; BUT late in the season (and maybe not so late) there are goofy upsets and close calls every week. The underdogs playing their own bowl games with nothing to lose.
I have learned my lesson, and no longer put my money where my mouth is.
Max, I learned the same lesson out of high school. I was just a teenager with chump change. But don't bet on football. The ball ain't round, as they say.
Happy to see most of the staff picking Navy ATS. And you guys got it early. It’s down to 7.5 now. My sincere hope is the Mids win that one straight up.
I have Navy Straight up. Navy scores alot and runs triple option, tough to defend. I see this is first time in a ton of games ND didnt sell it out.
I don't know anyone who plays for Rutgers nor can I tell you who is currently coaching the team
I keep forgetting the guys name, but I remember its fun to say (almost as fun as Navy's coaches name). Either way, its gonna be 65-0 going into the fourth quarter; Hoak and Chug gonna get a lot of quality snaps.
I'd go Indiana, Wisconsin, Team up north, Navy, Ohio State, Clemson, Auburn, Minnesota, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma.
