I think what you're trying to say is Michigan sucks?

Let them feed off their own delusions. Just makes the late November beat down taste that much sweeter.

Michigan doesn't suck. They're a good team that is finally figuring things out. However, they are entirely at a different level from OSU. You guys are arrogant beyond all get out. The Buckeyes are elite, and can beat almost every team in the country. You are a national championship contender. Just because a team isn't as good as OSU doesn't mean that "Michigan sucks" (in terms of how good their football team is.) I think Michigan, if the season was starting today, could go 11 - 0. But they would still be crushed by OSU. Doesn't make them a bad sucky team. It does mean they don't have the 5 star talent you have at virtually every position.

FIFY... Lol

The weanies May not actually “suck” as a football-playing bunch of dudes, but may I humbly and not arrogantly submit for your dining pleasure that...

MICHIGAN HAS SUCKED FOR WELL OVER A HUNDRED YEARS, THAT MUCHIGAN SUCKS AT THE PRESENT TIME, AND THAT MICHIGAN WILL SUCK INTO THE FAR-FLUNG DISTANT FUTURE!

That is all.

I think what the OP is saying is that Michigan fans are yapping again.  Now they think they could beat Wisconsin if they played again.

3 hours before the game, Michigan fans were clamoring for a new coach, and wondering if they would beat a non Rutger opponent.

I find you people comical.   I live up here and hear all the boasting and whining.

You guys are arrogant beyond all get out.

I think Michigan, if the season was starting today, could go 11 - 0.

I'm shocked that after months of apparent rationalism from you that you would say things as ridiculous as these, but I suppose in the end you truly are a fan of that team after all. Wisconsin would beat you guys just as soundly as they already had - it's a horrible matchup for you, especially with your lack of elite talent, size, and depth at DL. PSU would have blown you out as they were doing in the first half if they had a coach who was better than perhaps the worst in-game decision-maker of the conference. Patterson still makes poor decisions and is a bad-to-average QB being misused in a boring, antiquated offense, while your entire team still has a case of the fumbles (even if they happen to get lucky and fall on them fairly often).

You have no speed and you create no space. Hassan Haskins is not turning into Tyrone Wheatley, and Zach Charbonnet is not turning into Anthony Thomas. Your talent at WR is not being properly utilized. Your roster is full of square pegs being forced into round holes. That sorry collection of average at best RB's running it up the gut is good ol' man-ball just like Bo wanted in 1971, but it isn't going to get it done against quality defenses as outlined above. I understand that you're riding high on your win over the permanently overrated Fig-things, but your team is the Texas A&M of the B1G and probably would have lost to Illinois had your old QB Brandon Peters played.

That all being said I am still concerned about The Game and will be until the clock hits zero as anything can happen in the biggest rivalry of all. I have seen OSU teams that were clearly better end up randomly losing to you (although it has been a while), but the reality is what it is - you are average at best, not good. If you played Cincinnati or Indiana right now on a neutral field I'm not sure I would pick you to win. No one is saying that you're bad like Rutgers, but you also aren't that great either - and it is mainly due to offensive coaching ineptitude and lack of depth/elite talent at positions such as DT, CB, OL, RB, and QB. I can't believe I've lived to see the day that a member of the most arrogant fanbase to ever exist refers to us as arrogant, but here we are.

Pick up your feet, turn your corners square! And DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!!!

You are normally a rational person but unfortunately this take has you moving into the realm of most of your fellow fans on mgoblog. One victory against a ND who was clearly overrated (exhibits - beating a mediocre USC by 3 at home, struggling until the second half against a now showing to be average UVA).

You are one week removed from losing to Penn State and suddenly feeling that loss was an anomaly. Is your team good? A rational person would say yes. Are we talking about responses of fans from an opposing team in the biggest rivalry in college sports? Yes. Are your fans just as arrogant with less reason to be? Yes.

The good news for all is that there is a game to be played on November 30th that will help settle this argument for this year.

I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!

Blu has also repeatedly said two of our coaches (Schiano, Johnson) protected Sandusky so he could rape children in Happy Vallley.  So in his world child rape jokes (because he was feeling “snarky”) are not out of bounds but say “Michigan Sucks” is way over the line.  Pure Michigan!

Put me in the camp of cautiously optimistic. We can and should win. But nothing is guaranteed until the clock is zero. Although I feel more confident with Day than Urban led team. The Game with be a fist fight after having a fist fight the week prior with PSU. If we get through without it will have been well deserved and earned.
Fyi, good game Saturday. Next challenge Indiana and then US. Agree ?

I cannot imagine how Michigan fans would be if their team was as good as Ohio State’s.  Many are arrogant even with mediocrity.  But UV for all the other realistic acknowledgements.

WE ARE ARROGANT??   We ACTUALLY W I N stuff!

UM is RIDICULOUSLY arrogant with VERY LITTLE substance.

You have not SNIFFED a championship in almost 2 decades!

You have 1/2 of a National championship in 70 years!

You have a SINGLE signature win in FIVE years!

Michigan falls back on "most win." but conveniently forgets that they have A LOT of wins vs High Schools and teams that were "crated and showed the game: that SAME DAY!     Michigan is a good program....FAR from elite.

UM fans act like they ARE everyone's equal...which is a joke.     OSU is arrogant?   Yes...because we CAN BE!

HS
tbdbitlbuck's picture

Has the nerve to call us "arrogant beyond all get out" and then three sentences later says that if TTUN could start the season over (after the 9th week of college football), that they could go 11-0.

HS

To be fair Blu, Michigan is back to their old tactics of holding onto receivers (especially over the middle crossing routes). The officials just look the other way during home games. They are taught this and it's just not right they get away with it.

HS

Typical ichigan fan, get a decent win and now if they played them all, all over again would be undefeated. It's easy to say now you guys would beat Wisconsin after the beating we just put on them. Same will be said about psu after we get done with them. But as we all know, the last Saturday in Nov will be here soon enough, and after watching this osu team for 8 games so far, I'm guessing it will get a lot more quiet up there

MSU feels broken.  I’ll be surprised if they beat Michigan.  I think Indiana has a better chance.

HS

Agreed. If TSUN soundly beats Indiana, we can start moving them up the threat level. Otherwise, TSUN is exactly where we thought they be. I will say that they have looked better in recent weeks even with the loss at PSU, but I need to see more before declaring a "TSUN emergence".

HS
Buckeyeincleveburg's picture

That Michigan Man who broke down The Game last year got it right.  Michigan beats the hell out of mediocre teams.  But when faced with a team of equal or better talent, they get beaten badly.

HS
IH8UOFM's picture

It's easy for me to say as a ridiculously biased homer here, but they aren't "back". They seriously began the game against ND with like what, 20 straight runs and each one was a huge gainer? I don't give a damn about the weather, that shouldn't happen. It certainly awoke a herd of minions but lest we forget Patterson was 6-12 for a hundred yards.

HS
actionstanleyjackson's picture

Same song, different verse. This happens every year. Michigan loses some games early then they get on a run against average to below average teams and then all of a sudden they’re ready to beat Ohio State. We all know how this is going to end.

Stay golden, Ponyboy.

HS
bd2999's picture

They are playing better but I am not ready to give them too much credit. ND is a decent team but overrated. They beat Iowa, the team with minimal offense and so on. And they have lost two games. Even if one of the losses they looked competent.

Only with Michigan do you perform similar to what you wanted to be and celebrate a loss.

The game will always be a battle but if you go by stats OSU has an elite offense and defense. Good luck to any team moving the ball consistently on that defense or stopping that offense. At best UM is probably a three loss team.

The hilarity and arrogance of Mgoblog and the TTUN football twitter forced me to pull together a few stats for comparison to the good guys:

I don't do Twitter, but I do read MGB and I don't get the impression any UM fans believe they are comparable to OSU.  At last note, MGB owner Brian Cook said OSU looks like an un-winnable game.  And, although the fan base seems more positive about the last 3 halves of football than before, I don't see anyone thinking UM is "there".  I still see lots of question marks...improvements and hope, but still lots of question marks.

Strength equipment is expensive & guarantees you nothing. A strong will is free & will give you everything you need.

I was impressed with UM Saturday, but not impressed to call them a good team. I'm mainly for the take of UM, PSU, ND, and Georgia, just not being very good. It's becoming more and more clear that this is a 4 team race. Of course, one could slip up. But OSU, Bama, LSU, and Clemson are vastly VASTLY, more talented than anyone else. One of the biggest talent gaps I've ever seen in CFB, between the top teams, and the solid teams.

Elliott dots the eye, on this national championship win.

Basically 4 teams filled with NFL talent and a bunch of teams with some NFL talent sprinkled around.

HS

The only thing Michigan did against ND was increase their odds of not having 4 losses.  They still could, but beating ND helps them feel better until things go completely South on them.  It will be another bitter wait until the bowl game, and Seniors headed to the draft or younger talent that's leaving will sit out the bowl game....again....and they will lose that game, too.....again.

This qualifies as sucking.

HS
mittenst8buck's picture

TTUN will win their next few games. They are not losing to Sparty...they have a ton of injuries and transfer guys...and honestly I dont think much of Maryland and Indiana is ok...but they probably don't have the line to stop Michigan's defense. Michigan will look good coming into the game with us...but right now I think our defense is definitely good enough to stop Michigan's offense and our offense will eventually adjust to counter Don Browns defense. I do expect that Brown learned a thing or two last year against OSU so they may not be so blitz heavy against us. I am guessing that game may go something like the Wisky game...it'll be close for a bit and we pull away once we figure out their defense and adjust to it.
