Browns entire starting secondary is out tonight. Bold strategy.
This is definitely where I parked my car.
Usually it's older teams that struggle with injuries, so naturally the Browns' two 22-year old corners both pulled their hammies in a practice.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
So many injuries, if they can pull this one off I will be thoroughly impressed.
Another step on the way to the Super Bowl.

Thanks for your time reading this
Yeah sure is a mess in Cincy. They still own the Clowns all time though :)
“I don’t know what Tegridy is but that is some GOOD S#/+.”- Towelie
Sound like a dam TTUN fan :)
Yeah I thought about that for a second, but I'm not lighting Cincy Jungle on fire with fire Taylor hire ___ lol. I was born into Bengaldumb. The NFL is a time pass thing for me and has been for awhile. Its Buckeyes on Saturday and NFL once playoff picture starts. For the record I don't have anything against the Browns. I just strongly dislike Pittsburgh and San Fran.
It’s all in fun, and I more than dislike the Steelers.
Yep unfortunately the Bengals haven't got to play the Jets and whatever gas store clerk they're trotting out at QB until Darnold is healthy again (the only thing separating the Browns and 0-3 lol)
Class of 2010.
Didn't the Bengals just lose to the fucking Bills?
"but the bills are undefeated!" after playing the jets, giants and bengals...
Might get ugly
"To The House"
If I was a betting man I would have hammered that Rams -4 as soon as the Browns inactive list came out.
Major League intro....nice
Let’s go Browns!
don't have a good feeling about this one
Three penalties on their first possession.
Lulling the Rams to sleep
Just got back from Chargers game. It's a mystery that, in 10+ years, they have not found a better QB than Rivers.
Can you tell them to pay Melvin so I have another quality back on my fantasy team?
So you're calling Gordon a quality back ............ /s
The off season bites !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Seattle Sounders 2019 MLS Champions
Do you know Dean Spanos?
No I was hoping you did ... and I don’t care if his demands are unreasonable ... it’s all about me not losing to my BIL at fantasy football
He belongs in the same owner category as Mike Brown.
3 penalties in 3 minutes needs to be corrected fast.
It's the League and the refs, not the players. There is no consistency on what calls are.
Heard this morning that they are going to relax many of the O-Line holding calls - we'll see.
Are they changing the rules or just telling the refs to only call odd numbered holding and ignore even numbered?
Let's Go Bucks
Nope HAHA - the refs all had a conference call last night and were told not to be so tight with call on the O-Line - we'll see how this game pans out.
were told not to be so tight with call
That's my point. Are they saying that some of the calls were not really holding or to ignore some holding. Not sure how they can decide what is too tight when in reality they could call holding on every play if they strictly enforced the rules.
Texas was holding all. day. long. today.
But did they ante up first?
Good start by the D
Nice job D
Let's clean up the mistakes and see what we can do.
Mack Wilson is going to be a stud in the league.
Ok Ok little premature.
Aaron Donald....what a beast. I can't even be mad at that....Bitonio had no chance there.
If I coached I’d tell my team to block Aaron Donald. I
Make that 4 penalties - come on man
Is Kirksey out too?

It seems like they called up the entire JV defense to start tonight.
Other than the D line.
looked it up - he went on the IR - chest injury against the Jets.
Man, this is a new look D
I hope to be alive long enough to see the removal of FGs from football. Such a snooze fest watching guys kick for 3 points..
Browns Oline has mustered some momentum this drive... Great play calling so far
So many penalties
These fucking penalties...
Sooner or later, the Browns are going to have to start taking some shots down field.
I think they know they can’t block long enough
I agree but Freddie very clearly wants to make sure his defense is on the field as little as possible because of these injuries.
I don’t understand why Freddie doesn’t run some tempo. He just seems to overthink things this year
Just had to call plays last year.... A LOT MORE on your plate running the whole thing..
Because if you keep your offense off the field that means your shitty pieced together secondary from waiver wire and the local stop n shop are on the field even more against a Mcvay offense.
The stop and shop defense is looking a lot better than the offense.
Im not advocating running tempo every series, but when you have a good first play get it going. Going to need more than field goals to beat the Rams.
Nice feature about Paul Brown...thanks Art.
When Modell fired Paul Brown I had to go over to a neighbors house to watch the Browns.
My dad refused to allow them on our TV for quite some time. Some things you just don't forget. :)
IT. WAS. A. FUMBLE.
True, but I thought Collier did a decent job. Had a winning record and his worst season was 500.
Thanks for the miss
And in the possibly more important game down the street, 10-1 Tribe.
Is that number six?
Do the Browns have a girl punter?
You watch your mouth talking about the hammer
How come we don’t run RPOs with Justin? Like, he rarely throws in the middle of the field. Especially against the zone. Maybe that’s a part of the playbook that will be opened going forward? Hopefully it’s something we gush Nebraska with.
Since when are you allowed to hit the QB in the face mask?
Like 50 yds rushing total in this game. Give it to Chubb!
Have to be impressed with the Browns defense in the first half. Wow.
I wonder what Saints fans think of that fumble?
Winning at the half!
Are the bengals taking a qb with the #1 pick they’re positioning themselves for?
Did you guys think Goff would be this good based on the OSU/Cal game a few years ago?
Here we go brownies, here we go!
Lot of pluck on this team
also lots of penalties
Great answer by the offense. Need the defense to get a 3 and out here.
We got this.
Drive it down their throats
And that’s why 2 of the Top 10 RBs are headed to UGA.
That draw play on 4th and 9 is the most Browns thing ever.
WTF. Come on Freddie.
how do you not challenge that PI to keep it at 2nd and 9 the run a draw on 4th and 9. What a bleeping moron.
Better question is how did the assclown refs miss it, Freddie bailed them out though
They were in an illegal formation so it negated the PI.
Negated? Why would it do that? It would offset, but in no way should you be allowed to PI because there was an illegal formation.
The said it from the press box. If they were in a legal formation he could have challenged.
Incorrect. It would have been offsetting penalties. It would have saved the Browns a down.
Than call NBC and complain to them for spreading incorrect rules on a live broadcast. They said it at least 2 times. If a team can’t line up correctly to run a play that’s on them and they did it multiple times last night. Bottom line is they’re a mess on offense and should have won a game where the D gave them 3 turnovers. Complaining about 1 PI call doesn’t counter what the Browns inflicted upon themselves.
They said it would be offsetting, even had Gene Steritore chime in and he said the same thing.
I'm not complaining about that, nor saying that's the reason the Browns lost. Freddie should have challenged it, however, and his explanation about why he didn't after the game was awful.
I thought that they had a rules "expert" come on and say that it would have been offsetting.
Not the first time Collinsworth would have been wrong.
Yeah, that 4th and 9 call was a pretty bonehead play.
How much would the Skins want for Trent Williams?
Complaining about 1 PI call doesn’t counter what the Browns inflicted upon themselves.
No one is saying the Browns didn't lose this game on their own, that doesn't excuse the fact that NFL Officials are highly incompetent though. Look no further than what they did to Keanu Neal yesterday if you need proof.
You get a Flag. You get a Flag! Everyone GETS A FLAG!
Freddie is not only underperforming in his head coaching duties, he can’t call a good play to save his life. He needs to, at the minimum, relinquish his play calling duties.
It’s criminal how bad this offense is being managed. Defense has stepped up considering all the injuries, but Freddie has been shitting the bed.
Oh my! Own guy prevents that from a long return.
That was some terrible play calling.
Browns need 2 OTs badly.
Kitchens in over his head. He's probably having to do too much head coaching stuff and it's affecting his game plan and his play calling. I'd bet he has no idea he had Chubb on the field the entire night. You just can't do that an expect an RB1 to be fresh down the stretch... and the Madden'esque everyone run a go route has no chance against any team with a pass rush..
Kitchens may be a one a done if this keeps up..
This offense is hot garbage. Embarrassing. The offensive line is full of should be backups. If Mayfield can't throw the ball immediately, he gets scared feet and throws into double coverage. And the play calling... woof!
Is this how TTUN fans feel every week?
Wade Phillips gifted them a touchdown on 1st & goal with the zero blitz, lucky for Wade a Browns receiver was nice enough to lead his defender right over to where OBJ was open for a quick slant. Next 3 plays were academic for the Rams defense.
Browns need to upgrade that OLine or else they are going to waste having OBJ and Landry.
Browns defense played a great game. Got the turnovers and stops needed to put the Browns in position to score points.
Aaron Donald is spectacular to watch.
I saw Ryan Day hang 62 on Michigan...His hair was perfect.
Go Buckeyes Beat Michigan
I think that was about as good of a game as we could have expected out of the Browns considering the injury situation. The defense produced 3 turnovers and the offense, for the most part, took care of the ball. You can't control the awful NFL refs making awful calls on you, but ultimately the injury that cost them the game was to the OL. The pressure came from the edges the entire night, and unless the Browns improve there when Hubbard returns or upgrade somehow it will be a long season. Maybe Joe Thomas can come back? /s. I'd have loved for them to pull off a win, but you pushed the best team in the league to the brink with half your defense out, at least they weren't stomped like week one.
Pick up your feet, turn your corners square! And DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!!!
You can't control the awful NFL refs making awful calls on you
Well, you actually can control some of that by not committing penalties. Refs make mistakes in every game usually on both sides. But refs are not the reason the Browns have had 30 or 40 penalties or whatever it is at this point. Blaming the refs for last night is like Michigan fans blaming the refs for the past two decades.
I agree on all the rest.
Just think, if the Browns win next week they lead the division. They’ll probably make the playoffs but will be 1 and done unless they find a way to upgrade OT.
I'll have some of whatever you're having.
I guess it boils down to if you think Baltimore is better than the Rams, I personally don’t so beating them for the division is extremely feasible.
I mean, it's kind of ridiculous, but you're right. The AFC-N is just terrible this year. 8 wins might get you a championship. Baltimore has to be the odds-on favorite, but Cleveland is probably No. 2. Far crazier things have happened.
That said, Browns have a pretty rough gauntlet the next 4-5 games. Better play a lot better than they have been to get through it.
Aaron Donald is a generational type player. I followed him at Pitt and was praying the Browns would draft him but they passed and took the bust cb out of Okie State <face palm>. It's rather odd Pitt is a very mediocre team but they have produced a string of superstar NFL players in the last dozen years or so (Larry Fitz, Revis, Shady, Donald).
Freddie Kitchens seems overmatched as head coach. Whoever is calling the plays this year, whether its he or Monken, its not working. The o-line needs massive talent upgrades otherwise the skill players are going to waste because Baker hardly has any time to get rid of the ball.
Donald was the best player in that draft (which also included Khalil Mack and OBJ), but there were a bunch of teams that passed on him. The Browns did it twice, though, trading down and then drafting the useless Gilbert because Mike Pettine demanded "his own Revis." Slight misstep there.
Dorsey had never picked a head coach before and it showed with the very weak coaching search. It seemed like he didn't really trust his judgment, and just went with what he assumed the fans and his quarterback wanted. This is probably not a majority opinion, but I'd like to see Kitchens turn the offense over to Monken so we can see what happens. Monken's Bucs moved the ball all last season; they lost because they had the worst D in the NFL.
The only way that 4th down run call makes any sense is if you believe it's something besides 4th down, and if Kitchens lost track of the downs, that's a sign he's got too much on his plate.
It was a really smart move trading one of the best right guards in the league considering how poorly they are performing now. Every single play it seems like the pocket is collapsed. The Browns look like their 5 wins or less selves again.
Really impressive performance by the Browns' defense last night. Holding the Rams to 20 points is fantastic. To do it with 5 new starters, including an entire backup secondary? Incredible job.
The offense is a trainwreck. Play-calling is a mess. Take for instance the 3rd and 12 call from inside our five, late in the fourth where we ran four vertical routes with no intermediate crossers underneath. That's awful when you have a line that can't keep the pocket clean long enough for those routes to develop.
The tackles are bad, but even when they block things up OK, Baker is feeling phantom pressure and leaving the pocket far too soon. If they don't do something about the starting tackles, it's going to ruin Baker.
It's also not helping the Browns had to play the Jets. Gregg Williams saw Baker last year in practice and knew what to do to make uncomfortable and now every team is going to do that. You just show Baker one look pre-snap and then bring something different after the snap and he's straight up confused.. those are just growing pains of a young QB..
I said it last year and I'm sticking with it.. Kitchens should have been the OC this season and not the HC and OC. Pick a lane..
