Catching some highlights among catching up on the reads.
This is how you open up conference play on the road...very impressive outing for the good guys this afternoon.
Hindsight is, and in, 2020
Also Teague had a hunny and averaged over 10 per carry. Thank you o line.
Beat me by 20 seconds. Nice.
You never lose to those pricks. Ever. Ever. Urban Frank Meyer
Master Teague had 106 yards on 10 carries.
His 40 yd TD was a beauty! I didn't know he topped a hundred! Well done!
Edit to add: And Chase had at least 2 sacks.
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.
The kid is a bruiser. Love how he runs.
Was great to see our backups get plenty of snaps. Our defensive 2 deep seems better than the offensive backups.
Defense was just outstanding today. Yes it’s Indiana but love how they are starting strong every game. After Indiana’s first 2 possessions they were -7 in total yards. Hopefully we won’t have a Purdue game this year.
MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS
I take back all the bad stuff I’ve said about Damon Arnette. I think he may be due for a few more big plays this season!
When in doubt... Muck Fichigan
My favorite thing about college football is getting to watch the light come on for guys. It took 4 years but that light is now firmly on. Between him, Okudah, and Wade I don't know who you try to target as an opposing QB.
I'd slow your roll with Arnette. One decent game is not a season make. I hope you are right though. It's obviously now or never for him. He was solid today
BigBuckeye says Go Bucks
And with THEE Master we have the best #2 in the country!!!
I was glad we had such success at our run game today. Remind me why a great HS RB isn't saying I could step in after Dobbins....
I'm delighted that Coach Day keeps it classy by not running up the score. Letting the back ups get actual game experience will pay huge dividends in the future.
I suspect the mgoblues got a bit more bluer after watching this game.
Michigan can barely hang with army
Penn State struggled to overcome Pitt
Michigan State took a whole 4 quarters and 2 missed field goals before scoring their first points on a bad Pac-12 defense.
And the Buckeyes are simply embarrassing guys on Saturdays.
And MSU ended up blowing that game. Illinois got beat by directional Illinois, Maryland could not outrun a slow Temple, Minnesota barely beat Georgia Southern. Pathetic showing by the Big Ten except for the Buckeyes.
I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!
Indiana got destroyed too
Yeah, I tend to agree. From top to bottom the Big 10 is weak this year, so far anyway
Evidently we’re the only ones that found our fish.
“I’m so tired of flexing.”
That was fun to watch Meyer break the game(s) down for an hour before kickoff. I may be biased, but it is WAY more insightful than anything ESPN has done in the last 10+ years.
"Because we couldn't go for three"
I really liked how fox went to live discussion with Meyer during the game.
ESPN game day shows are worthless. The commentary is boring and usually biased as hell. I primarily watch FS1 on game day.
I primarily watch FS1 on game day.
Same here. I have 0 interest in ESPNs college gameday, and I really think FOX is killing it. Plus, having flashbacks of Gus Johnson calling the 2015 playoffs is nice.
Cardale Jones!!! JT Barrett!!! Ole Gussy has a way of calling out those names
A very strong game by Ohio State on the road today. The Buckeyes are playing very well right now.
I didn't think this game would be a blowout. Starting to think this team is a legit NC contender. If we win convincingly on the road at Nebraska I'm sold.
I keep wondering why everyone expects these bad teams to keep it so close with us. None of them, including Nebraska are even on the same page as us
You know when a performance like Olaves goes unmentioned, some really good things happened. It was a pretty dominate performance.
Don't Mess With The Buckeye...It's a Nut That Can Kill You!
Btw, can we Please talk about Gus Johnson...Damon Arnette on the move, Damon Arnette stayin in school?!! Are you kidding me!?!
And my Buckeyes...this team is lookin complete. In every facet. That is all.
I didn't see a weak unit today. 9 Units STRONG!!
I'm completely knit picking here, place kicker?
You're right, but I will always contend that if your kicker is losing you games then at least one other unit is failing somewhere along the line.
"We gotta go win this next game and make the State of Ohio proud!"-UFM
Very true, at least one unit could be failing the team. Our Buckeyes looked damn good today
It was a very very good game today. Not to take anything at all away from the performance, and you'd have to be crazy to be disappointed, but there were a few things that could have gone better. I think it's good that there are things to work on still. A penalty on the OLine, an overthrown ball, stuff like that. The team is obviously very hungry and on a mission; I think they'll continue to work on the things the can clean up... the sky seems to be the limit right now.
Yeah Fields missed some throws today but still no INTs which is awesome
You’re right. Fields was a bit off. That is good news. We scored 51 when the quarterback had one of those days.
It could have been ugly considering the starters were out after three quarters
They are just having so much success STOPPING the run, it seems to allow them to be comfortable throughout the game!
I would rather be on hand with 10 men then elsewhere with 10,000 - Timur Lenk
Have to give huge props to the O-Line and the TE's. They're absolutely mauling people. I love how the OL has gone from being one of the biggest questions of the off season, to being an afterthought..... a given. That's a good thing. With JK and Teague running as hard as they have been, and the blocking they've been getting..... wow! That's a great combination.
Have to mention the blocking schemes, too. It's impressive how they're getting to the second level and pulling along the line, opening up some huge holes for the runners.
