Ohio State will cover that. Easy money.
Stay golden, Ponyboy.
Am I just a homer thinking 14 is very low?
I was expecting more like 24. And would probably lay the points even then.
Beat their ass.
I’ll lay those points.
Bucks 38 - Hoosierdaddy 17
Fields of Dreams
No way they only score 38.
So are they thinking the UC game was an aberration? WTF seriously. IU isnt that good FFS.
"I find your lack of kalua disturbing" - Darth Lebowski
Definitely feel that we can cover that spread. Looking to see more of what we saw in the Cinci game-energetic and swarming defense and good O-line play leading to a solid run game. Will be interesting to see if our secondary will be tested more. Go Bucks!
I’m not sure Indiana is better than Cincinnati
They’re about the same. Buckeyes win easily 55-10.
Sagarin has IU as three points better than Cincy, so basically the same.
Anyone that has ever used that garbage to gamble is living under a bridge off I-15.
Noon games at Indiana haven’t exactly been kind to us in recent years. That has to be playing a factor.
Actually it is the opposite. They struggled there in 2015 for a 3:30 game and then last time was a night game. The shootout there was also a night game
Keeping them honest.
We haven't played a noon game there since 2005.
2005--NOON GAME!!!!!!!! Final score 41-10 Ohio State
This is easy money, IU is not the team of years past. They are not that good this year, they won’t be able to run and they do not have a receiver that can consistently beat anyone of our DB’s
Of course, IU's talent doesn't match up to tOSU's talent (and it never does), but you're way wrong in your assessment.
For starters, a lot of regulars here know that the IU game has been deceivingly a pain to deal with and watch (up until the fourth quarter). They have the talent to put points on the board, and have proven so time and time again in the past. With that being said, they probably have some of the best talent offensively they've had in years. They always rely on good Olinemen and their solid RBs - so that is to be expected. They have two different QBs that can both play and cause problems for a secondary (one returning from an injury that would have started last year). And at WR they actually have speedy play makers.
Their defense has always been the Achilles' heel. They never have fast enough DBs or big enough Dlinemen. So, on paper, our offense should have another field day (no pun intended).
I do not realistically believe that this game will be close, and if the Cincinnati game was any confirmation of ANYTHING both offensively and defensively, then it shouldn't be.
But do not sleep on this team, or any team for that matter. We should know better than that by now.
"If Chase Young is truly bigger than I think he is and taller than I think he is, he would probably have to be the literal Predator because I've seen him with my own two eyes and I personally think he's pretty damn Sasquatchian." - Kevin Harrish
First road game jitters might be a factor, but I still like our guys 38 - 10.
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.
With the game back on fox, I noticed last week that the broadcast glitches horribly. I have spectrum. Anyone notice it? It’s worse this year. For example, if u watch the quarterback about to get the snap, he freezes, then moves, then freezes. Hard to believe that happens in 2019.
Banks of olentangy
14 pts? Really? Hold on, I'm taking out a second mortgage and putting it on us to cover.
"No we don't give a da*n 'Bout the whole state of *ichigan"
From what I read, they went out and hired a young offensive guru to replace longtime Lloyd Carr acolyte Mike DeBord and return their offense to the modern era (you know, where it was when Kevin Wilson was their HC). Whether or not that is working is still to be determined. I’m expecting a tougher game than UC, but I wouldn’t be surprised either way.
So did Michigan, we see how that's working out.
That should be an easy cover. I imagine they do better than that.
Ohio State 52 Indiana 17
"porque las estirpes condenadas a cien años de soledad no tenían una segunda oportunidad sobre la tierra."
Who freaking cares about the spread or the AP Poll. Just keep improving week by week like we did last week and its 13-0 people. Not one thing to worry about. It's a good year to be a buckeye...every year is good to be a buckeye but this one's gana be special. You think a 21-28 point spread against Indiana gana change that? Nah. GO BUCKS....BEAT TTUN BY 50
"The minute I think I'm getting mellow, I'm retiring. Whoever heard of a mellow winner."
Indiana isn't as bad as some think. They have a great young dual threat QB in Penix Jr. OSU is probably going to cover but I can see why it's only 2 TDs. Road game, noon (11am) kickoff.
I believe Bloomington is still in the Eastern Time Zone (I know West Lafayette is, and Bloomington is east of there). The only part of the state that isn’t is the northwest corner near Chicago.
You are correct.
For the uninitiated- such as yours truly- here is the back story to Hep's Rock:
“He (late Indiana HC Terry Hoeppner) had a little showman in him, obviously, with The Rock, which was basically a gimmick to get people to come to the stadium,” Mark Deal, former IU player, coach and assistant director of development of the IU Varsity Club told the IDS in September 2017. “But what was a gimmick turned out to be much, much more when he got cancer. It became a symbol of his fight against cancer and the rock that he was.”
Go Bucks. Beat the Hoosiers.
I am not very smart, but I recognize that I'm not very smart. --- W.W. Hayes
Ok I have a question about kick off time. I know part of Indian is and hour behind us so will this be a Noon kick off or a 1 pm kick off time?
Noon, Bloomington is in the eastern time zone.
Pretty sure this line will move drastically this week. Going to be a lot of people giving 14. 20.5 would be where I would be willing to put money on Indiana. (Even then I'd be nervous) Admittedly, I have not followed Indiana that closely this year. Maybe they are really good this year?
First road game counts for something. Can't wait for this game. Another barometer test. Hopefully we ace it like we did the Cinci game
OSU didn't execute and lost to horrible officiating. BOTH things can be true
14 is a sucker line. Don’t touch it!
Meaning...don’t gamble with it?
Yep! When a line seems too obvious, stay the hell away from it.
The Vegas lines makers are never setting out to set “sucker lines.” They’re trying to avoid setting “soft” lines that will get hammered by very large bets from “wise guys”/syndicates. With some exceptions, small bets from the punters (public) are relatively insignificant, even when the public leans heavily toward one side.
IMO, the linesmakers made a mistake here and will get hammered by smart money on Ohio State at -14/-14.5 and the sports books will have to decide whether to let it ride or hedge.
Only here to call the shutout.
Sorry, cutters. Buckeyes exceed 50.
Cover by the end of the first quarter and never looking back.
I was over on a Indian Message board just a few Mins' ago and some of their fans think they have the talent to keep it close and the depth to help...
The Cincy fans had the same thoughts and we see how that turned out.
