I'm digging the numerous picks of MTSU over michigan...but I could never put it in print or wager on it.
-34 is a lot of points to eat
Just the spread, 34.5 is still a lot to cover.
If you take everything I’ve accomplished in my life and condense it down to one day, it looks decent!
I just gotta say, I got a kick out of your quote at the bottom of your post. Just remember, there's always tomorrow! lol
If you have two people that agree on everything, that only means one of them is not thinking at all.
I wanted to jump on that right away as well, MTSU has been a better quality mid major most years. But they got stomped 49-7 early at UGA last year so no guarantees. I still like them with the points. Cinci also.
As is 27.5 and 35
Each participating staff member will submit their picks – against the spread – for the selected slate of games.
This will be misinterpreted by so many throughout the course of the season. Brace yourselves.
Lol. I skipped the writeup and went straight to the picks...I was like, "Hey I'll have what he's having, because he's out of his mind." Then I did some reading...
against the spread
I don't care if they run a spread, wishbone, or power 'I' -- no way does ttun lose this game...

For the record, I'm OK with as many pics of Oregon cheerleaders as you would like to post. :)
Second from the left
I don’t see it.
There's no wrong answer in that bunch.
I’d take pot luck with that group of beauty’s
Head north till you smell it, west until you step in it
As a kid in the 1970s, I always thought Southern Cal had the hottest cheerleaders. Now I'm thinking it's just west coast girls. Holy Toledo.

Buckeyes cover and Stanford loses to NW
Picking Duke over Bama is like predicting the apocalypse arrives tomorrow
Saban isn't going to beat a coach he respects by 5 TDs. Tua will be done after one drive in the 2nd half and the benches will be emptied in the 4th quarter
Exactly. As soon as Bama is up by 28 in the third quarter, the Tide goes on cruise control.

Sure he will. He’s on a mission after an embarrassment to the end of the season
Great to see David continuing last years tradition of picking against the Bucks every game. (Don’t) keep the faith, man.

He's not picking against them
Meant picking them not to cover/ATS but thank you for testing my reading comprehension.
You do realize that the Buckeyes were 6-8 and last season against the spread. That means David was around 57% ATS, which is a bookie's nightmare.
Who in the fuck is Wertheim...…...the computer repair man? That spread will be covered by halftime
If you are offering FAU +27 at the half, I will take as much of your action as you like.
Well don't just talk man...…..tell me what you got in mind.....you're the one making the offer
Wertheim is drunk. Someone take his keys

Considering the fact OSU only covered in six of 14 games last year, Wertheim may be making the smart play. New QB, new center, 4 of 5 O linemen are new. I wouldn't at all be surprised if the offense looks a little sloppy tomorrow. And, if the Bucks are up by 21-28 in the second half, Day will likely pull Fields (no need to risk an injury this early) and play one of the backups. That's when spreads get blown all to hell, and you see all kinds of bad beats. A strip sack, pick six, or some nonsense like that, and a few hundred thousand Buckeye betters lose their money. Bookies love that shit.
Chuck — what is FAU comes out and scores first?
That spread will be covered by halftime
,and promptly blown in the second half. Looks like Wertheim got it right.
My locks are Cincy, OSU and Northwestern.
Even the largest spreads become problematic when one considers the possibility of late, garbage-time scores. Gotta love the idea of the skunkweasels not covering, though -

Oregon is going to win that game by a TD at least. They have a young energetic coaching staff and a great strength and conditioning coach and one of the best pure pocket passers in the game not named Trevor in addition to loads of young talent no one has heard of yet. You heard it here first.
I picked Georgia tech to cover against Clemson. 36 points is just too much for week one against an in conference power 5 opponent, even if your QB is Trevor Lawrence and it is Georgia tech.
If Utah is as good as they're supposed to be, they better beat BYU by more than 4.5 pts.
UCLA was just TERRIBLE last year. And if last year's fighting Luke Fickells weren't just a fluke, I expect them to win handily against UCLA at home.
27 against FAU should be a forgone conclusion assuming the defense is even half as good as the talent on that side of the ball would indicate on paper. Our defense no doubt cost a lot of bettors a lot of money last year ATS. I hope we come out swinging and keep our foot on the gas from minute 1 of game 1 and never look back. An OT win against Maryland doesn't help our chances if it comes down to "tiebreakers" in the minds of the committee.
Bonus prediction for week 2. Not only does army cover the spread, they win outright as *ichigan struggles to implement a new offense and Army has the ball for 40+ minutes.
"No we don't give a da*n 'Bout the whole state of *ichigan"
I've been looking forward to that Army-*ichigan game too. Go Cadets!
Oh yeah, and Oregon cheerleaders: +1.
At first I thought half the staff was high, then I realized you were picking against the spread lol.
There is a better format. You pick the straight up winner and if you think they won’t cover the spread then it’s gets an asterisk. This way the percent picks results are both ways
Yes. Pick winners and losers.
I must admit, I only looked at the picture and didnt even read the article.
Let's see if last year's "winning" formula (of breaking even at 50 / 50) of taking the favorite and giving the points works again this year.
So far this week it's:
Cincy (24-14) beat the 2.5-point spread and
Utah (30-12) beat the 6-point spread.
