It blows my mind how many people still don't know how to internet at this point in 2019. You very clearly said "amirite," which serves as the equivalent of bold-double-italics.
It just wasn’t funny italics or not.
Yeah for me it wasn’t about being funny or not, I just didn’t get the joke either way.
There was a thread right before this was posted. It was about Urban lying about players. It didn’t last long
Oh got it. Thank you, Whitesnake.
I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!
Where is buckbornbred to tell us all this.
My other account....
And after the Fox show, here's Urban at the Florida-Miami game in Gator duds with the SEC commish.

Don't wear blue ! Unless it's beautifully matched with orange...... Hmmm.
Saw the College football segment on Espn last night after the game. Many great moments including Woody and Urban. Good stuff.
Yeah but this isn’t Xichigan blue...and we watched it too. Pretty good, Urban was awesome.
That is hilarious - he actually said about the QB running :
“Ive dealt with that dilemma many times. you don’t need him, don’t you touch those legs.”
Who are you and what have you done with our old coach ?
Part of a vast disinformation campaign to make think OSU won't run Fields.
Send the Earth Reverberating
I think you misunderstood him. He essentially said it’s part of the playbook but IF you don’t need him to run (aka he’s on fire throwing or you got a 5 td lead) don’t you dare run him
I need to either up my delivery or start adding the /s to some of my comments.
I understood what he SAID just fine.
But I have 6 of 7 years of experience that tells me his primary move from the playbook is the QB run.
Not saying anything bad - I am a huge JT fan. And I always knew that Braxton fading back to pass was only a cover to keep safeties honest so he could gash the front seven, and then get to the next level in a horse race.
No italics needed here!
+1 up-vote to counter the humorless!
Urban Meyer, undefeated (7-0) VS ttun | Ryan Day, undefeated (2-0) vs ttun

I mean he's not wrong....the whole panel agreed with him.
Bush took the biggest shot and straight up said Harbaugh is the problem.
I was smiling from ear to ear on that one.

"I think Alabama would beat Ohio State if they played next weekend!" Clay Travis Fox Sports Post Championship Show 1.12.2015. Needs no explanation.
Agreed; that was AWESOME!
Going to be weird watching him coach USC next year.
The real question is.....How will he coach USC and Notre Dame at the same time?
I bet he takes Quinn as his OC.
Belima as DL coach, James Franklin as recruiting co ordinator....obviously Don Brown as defensive Cordinator.
Johnbgb - he can't have Frankling as his recruiting coordinator with all the negative recruiting he did and would do against Urban.
Not if he wants to win....
So Urban's brain cyst and Chris Carter is a mass Urban Meyer cover up to one day coach again? https://www.foxsports.com/watch/first-things-first/video/1388192835797
Correction it's going to be epic. He gave us 7 years with more wins than anyone else those years. Thanks... Now it's time to watch what we all know will be his best program of all time. Meyer recruiting out of California will be an unreal beast to beat. Will be fun to watch.
Buckshots... always there for you if you missed the news last month
I’m so ready for the season! Urban knows. Go Bucks.
Fields of Dreams
I think so too, it just feels like this team is CFP bound.
Number one, win the rivalry game. And number two, win every game after that.
Desmond Howard, not ninety minutes into the brand new year, already had to apologize, on air and immediately following a commercial break, for using the phrase, "Choke a bitch" after being asked if *ichigan finally beats Ohio State this year (they do not, btw, and Desmond Howard is absolutely as stupid as you believe he is). I'm not the biggest Meyer supporter on here, but I was proud that he had balls enough to predict a playoff season for the Buckeyes as opposed to purposely picking another team so as not to appear biased.
When I die, sprinkle my ashes over the 70's
World Wide Leader, amirite?
I never want anyone to lose their job, but I wonder if Herbie will stan for Desmond after getting Torg fired years ago for some comments he made about Desmond.
Howard should have lost his job years ago because he hasn't uttered an intelligent word in his life.....
I'm sure this will get down voted, but we know why he is there.
Because he went to TSUN?
No. Tell us why.
I bleed scarlet...literally
Dont know how that went through his brain and out of his mouth.
I know I was in another room like "I couldn't have heard that right...(walks back in to rewind)." Yep, that's gonna play real well.
Then he makes it worse by apologizing "if anyone was offended ".
Let's Go Bucks
Dont see what howard said that he needed to apologize for. But its good to see the the losses are affecting him.
He said.....do I need to choke a bitch?......in case you missed it.
No, I didn't miss it. I also get where he got this reference from and he wasn't talking to a woman nor was he a pimp. So I'll once again say, I don't know what he apologized for. Just because he's a michigan stooge doesn't mean I'm just gonna say he's in the wrong here.
Thank goodness we can all have our own opinions and personal preferences.
Urban on Fox sports college football shows >>>>> ESPN shows
Damn reggie goin right for harbaughs throat!

Reggie Bush: I do think Harbaugh is the problem.
Urban Meyer: looks directly at camera
I'm guessing just a coincidence, but I want it to be Urban looking right at Harbaugh through the TV
If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.
I noticed that too; I love that man!
I'm starting to like this show
You have to love the subtle dig that Urban took at Tathan by telling the story that Day and Pantoni thought they needed to get another QB in case Haskins left.
And that they already had an inkling about Baldwin?
North until you smell it, west until you step in it
Maybe they thought if Baldwin were "the guy" the program was in trouble.
Regarding Tater, I've only got one thing to say -- "Kiki Passo"
Why do I get the feeling if Meyer had stayed on at OSU Jalen Hurts would be our starting QB this year (since he's a near perfect fit for Meyer's read-option offense)? Granted he also seems to be very against transfers in general so we could've been rolling with Tate or Baldwin this year instead.
Haha do people realize what we have in Fields?! Jesus the kid is here for atleast two seasons let's all enjoy this.
I’ll enjoy if/when Fields lives up to the ridiculous expectations.
Urban addressing TTUN honestly and still not saying the the word. Nice.
ESPN Gameday radio guys ALL just predicted Weenies to be in playoffs. Not one of the 3 of them even mentioned the Bucks.
ESPN thinks people still care about what head Corso puts on even though no one can understand a single word he says, and Desmond Howard is joking about physically assaulting people.
Physically assaulting female dogs
Class of 2010.
If that was Trevor Matich & Co., they predicted that the Bearcats would upset us in the Horseshoe in Week 2. Mark May may be gone, but they’re still doing anything they can to trigger Buckeye Nation...
Is Trevor Matich the one that's a burger away from a stroke?
David Pollack said on the Will Cain Show, drivetime ESPN Radio, that Justin Fields is the most over hyped player in college, right now. Talked about 7 of the top 10's team's positives, didn't mention Ohio State other than Fields
Bitter much, Dave? LOL.
Let the hate flow...
No bitterness there, eh Davie... There is NO reason to watch ESPN outside of Herbie... everybody else sucks hairy ballsacs
Choke that bitch /s
TG Proud Buckeye alumnus.
Why'd he say this then? (David Pollack: Justin Fields and Ohio State will put up stupid numbers)
Hmmmm. That's amazing. He was on last Thursday's (I believe) Will Cain Show, with the over rated remarks. Maybe he is a flip flopper trying to play both sides of the fence. That is odd, lol.
Though I am not for ESPN, but 2 of t he 4 did indeed mention The Bucks in the final 4 though none said they would win it.
This time last year, they were all predicting Wisconsin to win the Big Ten and make the playoffs. Buckeyes also were hardly ever mentioned. I am not a conspiracy type guy but they can't really all be that stupid over there.
I get why the Buckeyes were hardly mentioned though. Urban was suspended, no one was certain if the O-line would be any good especially with how bad they were the year before, and we had a new QB who really had zero experience. Picking Wisconsin, though, was a horrible take!
I can no longer tune into College Game Day... aside from Herbie, it is fucking terrible. Desmond is a complete fool, Corso needed to walk away last year and it now completely painful to watch, the rest of the crew is sub par.
Fox College Football - I like these guys anyway, but after adding Urban, the show just blew up. It was highly entertaining, and Urban delivering a fuck you to TTUN was just outstandingly hilarious!
Don't forget to mention the Tom Rinaldi pseudo-poetic emotionally-manipulative pieces about random players or family members that do nothing but waste time between commercial breaks. I'm still not sure what part of their target audience those are supposed to appeal to
In fairness, when OSU won the 2014 title, he did a REALLY good piece on Urban Meyer and OSU. I actually looked everywhere for it on YouTube and ESPN trying to save it. I never could find it.
LOL, actually, as I’m typing this, I believe it was Gene Wojciechowski that did the piece! Lol, never mind, Tom.
I can't stand the Tom Rinaldi stuff, always causes me to change channels. Well said.
I can't make Twitter videos play. I've tried both Chrome and Safari, no luck. It's been pretty recent.
Anybody having the same issue?
"We get paid to score touchdowns, not kick field goals"

Long click on them and open them in incognito. It is the only way I have found that works for me.
The incognito trick worked, thanks. Long press on phone, right click on Windows, CTRL+click on Mac.
if you can't play twitter videos your life is better for it ;)
And another shot at the boy up north as he was discussing ttun.....He referenced "they certainly have the players" but no word on the coaching at ttun except positive response for Brown.
Atta Boy Meyer.
Enjoying daily the 62-39 ttun beatdown.
Yes, direct shot at the coaches! Very nice.
on main page, if you hover over picture...it says "Urban Meyer took job at Michigan".
thanks for getting me pissed for nothing.
I saw that too Socman. My blood was boiling as I scanned the article for his new job at TTUN. I figured they meant "jab" instead of "job" but damn, what a typo!
"Your focus determines your reality."
Sounds more like auto-correct run amock
I effing love urban meyer. Can’t wait to watch him every wk
"Year for what?" That's one of the funniest responses I have heard in ages. Go Bucks! Screw Blue!
Not even coaching for the scarlet and grey and he is still crushing the souls of TTUN and all their fans
(Hey Poppy, give our boy Ryan a phantom mod edit to correct the word to Gray before he gets lit up)
I’m bummed that I missed his debut, what did FOX air a pre game show @ 11 as if it was a normal college football weekend? Does anyone have any info about he and Joshua Perry’s involvement with the B1G network? Name of program? When it airs? Time it airs?
lol that was funny. Watching that Meyer clip talking about UM I think he let that one slip because he immediately said a bunch of nice things afterwards. I'm not sure he meant to be so abruptly transparent as he was at first. I'll be interested to see him cover these two teams (OSU & UM) as the season progresses.
Strength equipment is expensive & guarantees you nothing. A strong will is free & will give you everything you need.
By saying those nice things about the players and staff, he's basically laying all the blame at Harbaugh’s feet. I’m pretty sure he meant to say what he said. It’s not like the questions are surprises, they all have their answers prepared.
Oh, he meant what he said. Every word of it. And what he didn’t say, he meant that as well. Was brilliant.
Can Coach Meyer be the new media thorn in the side for Michigan fans? I think yes. We need someone to offset all of the undeserved love they get.
Love the truth. But personally, I was fine with Michigan being all braggadocio and no showio.
Fix that title I choked on my cheesecake. Please never, ever mistype that Urban took a JOB at Michigan...
Scarlett & Gray > Blue and Gold
New sticker/t-shirt time?
I don't see how anyone can predict that TOSU would finish behind Michigan. Given the last 20 years, given the talent disparity, given the last 4 years, TOSU has to be the favorite. Sad to say, at least right now, I think TOSU is in Michigan's head. I mean, I guess Michigan might beat TOSU, if everything goes right, but no way am I predicting that now. Honestly, given last year, I wouldn't predict it if TOSU came into Ann Arbor with the Wolverines 11 - 0. It is all meaningless until Michigan actually beats TOSU. I want to see Michigan's OL actually stop your rush ends, and protect Patterson. I want to see our secondary actually keep up with your slot receivers. I want to see Gattis and Patterson actually open it up and score against a real defense. Until I see those things, I won't believe it. In fact, Michigan could be up two scores in the 4th quarter and I still wouldn't believe it.
There is one thing Urban Meyer touched on where I believe TOSU is vulnerable, and that is at QB depth. Fields may be great, but everything changes if he goes down. I'll never forget when you won the National Championship with TWO QB's down!! If Fields goes down, then yeah, it'd be more likely that Michigan could win. And Michigan apparently has two solid QB's with Patterson and McCaffrey. I personally think that Fields is eventually going to have to run for TOSU to win one of your tougher games. And that Fields won't be able to keep himself from running when he has the chance. It may be Wisconsin, it may be Michigan State, it may be Penn State. And you will roll the dice, and you might win, and Fields might stay clean. But any of those three teams would love to soften Fields up if they get the chance. That's the area where you are potentially in trouble. Imhe. Keep Fields clean and healthy, and it's all there for you. Let him get clobbered, and it's all over for you.
Hearing everyone talk, it’s almost like QBs never get hurt on passing plays. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who noticed Fields holding his wrist after a lineman hit his hand after a pass in the spring game.
He will run as often as they need him to.. if they don’t, they might as well not have Fields out there
The reason I see is if you flip a coin 7 times and its heads 7 times in a row, the 8th time people expect it should be tails. But we all learned in 1st grade that the coin doesnt know the prior 7 results.
So basically, we now have college football analysts with the logic of 1st graders telling us their insightful opinions.
No, 90% of college football analysts are not as smart as average first-graders... if they were ESPiN would not hire them.
Thanks for the laugh. Plus Im now a loyal Fox Game Day fan. Im pretty excited about that show. Herby better make a move, because he is going to be on a show that is 2nd fiddle in a year or two.
We've had backups beat UM before. I really think the two teams have flipped their strengths. UM to offense and OSU to defense so yes it would be a huge loss to lose Fields but I don't think it's over by far. Fields really hasn't proven himself so it's hard to say how bad it would be to lose him. This is the most talent rich roster OSU has had and if reports out of camp are true about fixed problems on defense, then the BIG would still be in play. Playoffs, probably not. Since it's hard to separate fact from fiction in the press up north, I'm not sold on McCaffrey until he's schemed against. I honestly think UM will struggle mightily(coin toss) against MSU, PSU along with ND and will lose to Wisconsin outright.
Why do people act like it’s almost a given for a dual-threat QB w/ a great OL to get hurt?
How many games did Murray (140 runs), Jackson (260 runs), Watson (165 runs), Mariota (135 runs), Manziel (201 runs), RG3 (179 runs), Newton (264 runs), McCoy (136 runs), Tebow (210 runs), Young (155 runs) and Crouch (203 runs) miss when they finished 1st or 2nd for the Heisman Trophy? In 31 combined seasons, their was only two in which any of those QBs missed multiple games.
As others have said (but seriously, it's been almost 7 hours now!), PLEASE fix the typo in the pop up above the article picture; I freaked TF out when it said Meyer took a JOB at _ichigan!
That's a scare I don't need again, even if I should know better!
"Year for what?"
Still laughing--it's going to be hard falling asleep tonight
Tit for tat. All about picking your moments.
Urban's been doing this (watching, living, leading) for too long to let something like that go by him without getting his shot it.
Tit for tit.
As they say, revenge is a dish best served cold.

Kudos to Fox!!!! Great gameday show with excellent structure and well thought out commentary.
ESPN jumped the shark 2 years ago and finally another network has stepped in to fill the void.
Well....Urban is no longer connected to Buckeye football.....he’s an egomaniac that craves attention. I don’t care what he says or does.....Ryan Day and staff and the 2019 Ohio State Buckeyes are prepping for a successful season, including a Big Ten Title, besting TTUN and a National Championship......It’s a new DAY!!! Long live THE Ohio State University Buckeyes!!
Ummmm excuse me? No longer connected to OSU football...hmmmm. You must really hate that NC in ‘14 too huh?
I’m pretty sure he’s still employed by the athletic department. That’s a pretty big current connection the football program.
Interesting first comment from a four year old account...
The offseason is the longest season.
89 comments. At least 14 of them are espn related. If not more. When are people gonna stop giving ESPN views. I don’t get it. If you don’t like coke cola (please do as I’m invested lol) then drink Pepsi. I’m not gonna buy a coke over and over spit it out and complain about how bad it is. Espn does do one thing right. They get more views, clicks, traffic whatever you want to call it from OSU fans than probably any fan base. It’s absurd. After next weekend all you will hear is espn this and espn that. Can you believe what espn said? They are owned by an agenda driven machine who have no regards for facts or logic. I don’t get it. Unless OSU is ESPN I don’t watch it. It’s actually quite simple. If you miss gameday nothing will happen to you.
If they didn’t own the CFP rights, I would only watch games, and they’d be permanently muted. Since they choose the flavor packet for the kool-aid, I somewhat pay attention.
I would pay to listen to Urban talk Buckeye football... the sky is the limit, and that sky is like $20
Kyle "blood on the field" Kalis... 0-5
It was funny. It was hard to see him in Florida shirt, then I had to thing logically that he was just supporting his former team. I know he works for us now, I don’t see that lasting long. I think his heart is not into us anymore. I hope he figures out what he wants... I wish him well.
No way! His heart is totally in Ohio. He's been a Buckeye is whole life. You should watch the doc "football is us". It (unfortunately) playing on ESPN now, came out yesterday. He talks about OSU...watch and you will never doubt that man's love for this school.
I'm not sure that Fields is going to run as often as people are thinking. The WR corps and our RB's can make a lot happen. Sure, he'll take off, or there will be designed runs, but I don't think he's going to be taking off 25 times a game or anything.
He’ll probably run 5-10, normally. To win big games, he’s going to have to carry it 15-25.
Honestly they’re just wasting their time with the other two. If you want football analysis it should just be the Urban Meyer pregame show.
Urban did mention that Michigan has a great group of receivers.and a very good offensive line. He said their defense is not as good--but Don Brown will straighten them out. He also had praise for their new offensive coach who will be calling plays. As they say--"Silence is Golden" and in Urban's analysis he never mentioned Crazy Jimmy one single time. I think that speaks volumes about his feelings about the Michigan head coach and what UFM thinks about him. GO BUCKS!
Thought the exact same thing!
Fox Sports lineup is so much better than ESPN
He did go on to say some nice things about that team, but that "year for what" line gave me a nice chuckle.
Year for history - first ever time TTUN loses to the Bucks 8 years in a row.
You know - the "Year for What?" comment will go down as one of the greatest public comments in the history of Ohio State Football..
Right up there with Gus himself - "You got barbeque back there? And you didn't invite me?? HURT. MY. FEELINGS!"
