Voted other for Shea Patterson
Here's a reminder that the Heisman is decided at the end of the season.... not September.
That other guy is so good, I had to vote for em.
Always a longshot ....I'm going with Peter Nincompoop for the win.
This was actually one of the more intelligent comments on the subvject.
New York Buckeye
I don't like the fact that for some it's predetermined. Lawrence will have to screw up not to get it.
I agree RE not liking it, but the reality is that the Heisman stopped being the award it was intended to be at least 20 years ago, but probably earlier.
Except for 2006 :)
look at who lawrence will face and tell me HOW he could screw it up. except for clemson, the acc is a pathetic mess.
I think the prestige has diminished somewhat since it became a 'who's the best QB on the best team" award, and I only care that whoever wins it doesn't win it twice.
not to mention the heisman winners or recent years haven't done that well in the nfl. it's not about the "best" player anymore.
Baker Mayfield would like you to hold his beer.... After he shoots it.
Justin Fields? The guy has yet to start a game. At least Michigan fans wait until September before they start touting one of their own for the Heisman. Not saying he won't be a contender but let's not bitch about UM and their early predictions
i'm with you. i'm a long-time buck fan and i'm nervous about qb. until i see fields play well against a qualtiy team -we don't know what we've got. right now, i'd say dobbins should have more heisman hype than fields.
Other is the greatest...he's always a choice for everything ...he MUST be a great athlete.....

Unlike September Heismans, these aren't for real.
Our honor defend, so we'll fight to the end !
Since the eventual winner is typically not the front-runner in August, I'm a little tempted to go with Fields.
Why not? Using that logic - practically nobody's picking him right now and he'll have as much talent around him as either of the front-runners. Plus, I think its only a matter of time until Coach Day produces a Heisman winner.
However, those who are saying Lawrence will win because Clemson won't really play anybody until the playoff have a point -

I went with the field. I like the chances of everyone else. Since everyone is just an injury away and it's a contact sport.
Same. Will anyone give me 500-1 on Joey Gatewood?
Would love a non-QB. How about Laviska Shenault?!
But if it's gotta be a QB I'll go with Pump Fake Brock Purdy.
Seriously though....the Heisman race is pretty boring...the media clings onto 4-5 guys from a field of thousands.
I'll take the field at this juncture of the season.
Varys: I've always hated the bells. They ring for horror, a dead king, a city under siege.
Tyrion: A wedding.
it's going to be a non-QB this year, and I'm going with either Dobbins or Jonathan Taylor...I have a feeling Lawrence isn't going to live up to the wildly crazy expectations being placed on him--how could he?!?
My guess is as good as yours...….strike that, reverse it....I get nothing, I lose, good day sirs
Consider this comment the Joe Burrow for Heisman prophecy.
"Because we couldn't go for three"
Running a spread offense at LSU this year, Joe may surprise everyone !
We've seen so many winners arise with no pre-season hype that "other" feels like the most likely outcome.
First time post, so be gentle.
Trevor himself will be the only reason he does not win it.
The ACC is garbage and too many media folks are hanging onto his jock since last year for him not to win it.
Let us not forget our Vets and Troops!
Welcome to the site.
No fan of Clemson, the ACC, nor the QB Popularity Awar Heisman Trophy.
I'm interested in team awards.
Got M...igan gossip? Bang it here.
I like where you’re head is at...screw Clemson, go Bucks!
The Heisman Trophy goes to,
Quarterback from THE Ohio State University.
Justin Fields (audience applause).
Congratulations Justin (justin handed heisman trophy)
After K.J. Hill’s break out season with 1800 yards receiving and 17 touchdowns, he will be the award winner. Narrowly beating out Justin Fields and JK Dobbins (2nd and 3rd place respectively) in the voting. For sure. Write it down.
Hot take: Jalen Hurts wont start the whole season

Voted for Tua because Richard Lagow wasn't an option

Over 90% chance it's Lawrence or Tua.
I actually couldn't believe Tua didn't win last year, his numbers were honestly incredible. Lead all year until the CCG weekend.
If you take everything I’ve accomplished in my life and condense it down to one day, it looks decent!
Picked Tua b/c Clemson might have the best RB in the country as well.
Proud Graduate of The Ohio State University-2014
To vote Justin over Tua, let alone Trevor is either blind faith or good old fashioned and hopeful homerism. I hope he does but that is unrealistic. We’re not playing the weak ass ACC conference like Trevor did his freshman year. Additionally, both Quarterbacks have a full season under their belts as starters. I guess it could happen but I wouldn’t bet on it.
They haven't played a down yet. Nobody has done anything to warrant consideration. Let's wait 3 months see who is having a Heisman season.
I went with Tua because of the sour taste of the last game may give him an edge over Lawrence since I see Bama being pretty pissed. I was also going to say their schedule was harder, but Bama only plays 3 ranked teams to Clemson 2 ranked teams. OSU with a weak OOC schedule is playing 5 (and OSU's OOC schedule is better than Bama's unreal). So if Fields rips it like Haskins, he would have a real shot.
Normally I would go with Hingle Mccringleberry. This year I say
Followed close by
All because of West coast votes.
The only true worry we should have about this 2019 team is this:
Why is Sevyn Banks wearing number 12?
